Michael J. LaCilento, Attorney at Law
Michael j. la Cilento has represented me in a criminal case and more recently a family case. I can say that his representation is equal to having a big law firm working on your behalf. Michael and staff are personable and well educated in many facets of law. In my criminal case, the out come was better than expected which settled during the preliminary hearing. Michael was very focused on the goal at hand and very motivated to archive the best possible out come. I recently hired him for my divorce which is better than before, but he brings an outstanding reputation with the courts of Southern California as well. I feel stress free knowing he is on my case because I know Micheal will fight for me so I will no longer feel helpless in this situation. He is a First rate high class Attorney, from his personable interaction with you, the client, to his professional demeanor, and his knowledge of the law. In my opinion he stands alone and will always put his best foot forward for his clients.

I was arrested for PC 273.5(A) Inflict Corporal Injury/Spouse with GBI enhancement. I plead not guilty. Initial offer was 4 years state with a felony strike. Followed through TRC'S and negotiations. DA offered 6 months county with felony on record after preliminary hearing. At Prelim, victim invoked right to plead the 5th (right to not self-incriminate) Refused to sign immunity and refused to testify (with her attorney present). I pushed for jury trial. Christopher increased the pressure on the DA to settle. Trial date was confirmed, with no deal in sight. 5 days prior to Day1 of trial, All charges DISMISSED. Plead to PC M415(2) Misdameanor Malicious Disturb (Disturbing The Peace). Case will be dismissed after completion of 52-week domestic violence classes as part of the deal. Probation reinstated on two prior cases, pending traffic ticket (driving with suspended license and illegal turn on red) was also dismissed as part of the settlement. (arrested 4/30/2015, settled 4/12/2016).

Michael J. LaCilento, Attorney at Law
Totally recommend this law firm that I hired over a year ago and kept for 4 different hearings. Mr Lacilento and his paralegal Alma S. are very professional, will always keep me informed with my case and the course of the necessary paperwork. Danielle and Nancy are very nice and shows the professionalism at all times while in their office. I always get a call back and I was always answered all my questions in details even the times i didn't know the law terms Alma would introduce me to the steps i need to know before meeting with Mr Lacilento and before my hearing he will always schedule a review to discuss what is in the best interest for my case. Mr Lacilento has a vaste experience in the law industry and will take the time to talk to you and get familiarized with your case versus other attorneys take your money and barely remembers your name when you see him/her in court. Please know that every penny you invest in this law firm is all worth it.

Christopher Koch & Associates represented my boyfriend on his DUI and got it reduced to a wet reckless. His associate who appeared for him also was able to get his outstanding traffic tickets dismissed. All together, he saved so much money by not having to pay traffic fines or fines for a DUI and the classes that go along with it. I did the communicating on my boyfriend's behalf and the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. I recommend this firm and we were very pleased with the outcomes.

Law Offices Of Michael Scovill
Go for it. Use him. He got me the compensation for my disability. He spoke to my doctor and got me the surgery I needed. He never lets up the fight against the stupid adjustor. I hate insurance companies but I know that Mr. Scovill will do anything to get the treatment I need.

Tips & Advices
When it comes time to choose a lawyer, you should start by searching close to home. If you do have attorneys you are familiar with, ask who they believe would be best for you. After going through personal references - especially from individuals who had similar needs - you should broaden your search through public information resources. You can call your area's attorney referral service or check legal organizations like Martindale-Hubbell. There are other resources available online, such as yellowpages.com. You can check websites for client reviews and other third-party forms of approval.
If you sign documents and you come across a word you don't recognize, or you need help to navigate important employment or real estate paperwork. Also, during times when personal matters intersect with legal proceedings, you might need to have an advocate to prevent your emotions from getting in the way. If you've been accused of a crime or are in a terrible financial situation, you can find an attorney who will work with what you have available.
When you hire a lawyer, you're agreeing to work with someone over a certain period of time. The more forthcoming the lawyer appears to be with individual needs, the better.
  • You need to ask questions about how the attorney will communicate with you and what responsibilities you hold in the relationship.
  • The attorney should let you know the best channel for quick communication and you need to inform him or her when you want updates.
  • You should also ask questions to get to know the attorney as an individual in order to ensure this is a person you can trust. Ask about their legal philosophy and how he or she views the lawyer/client relationship. Ask as how to keep fees down or what daily disruptions you should expect from a long legal battle.
You need to ask about every possible fee that will come up when working with an attorney. You should request a list of all costs in advance so you won't be surprised by additional expenses like overhead. Also determine exactly when you will start being billed. You want to inspect paperwork carefully. If the attorney charges you for his or her experience, you need to make sure he or she will perform tasks personally and not hand it off to an assistant. Find out if the attorney has a flat fee or charges by the hour. Many civil lawyers work on contingency. Make inquiries about how the lawyer plans to provide service for your money and what you can do if you start to feel unsatisfied with his or her performance.
You can ask how many similar cases they have handled and if they have special skills or training that applies specifically to your needs. Lawyers can't mention clients by name, but you should ask for basic details about identical past cases. You should check their office for the appropriate certifications and diplomas. You can also ask how long he or she has practiced law and request information that demonstrates the practice's success. Look for precise details such as percentage of cases settled out of court.
