I work up the street and decided to try it about two months ago and have not been able to stay away since. Everything I've tried off the menu has blown me away, both in terms of flavor, quality and presentation. Restaurants in Miami tend to be mediocre at best in terms of quality and price, but not Mint Leaf. It's not the cheapest Indian food around (I have to agree with the other reviewer who said the rice is too expensive), but you certainly get a good value for your money. The freshly made Naan bread is the best I've had. The lamb stew and coconut rice are also delicious. When I'm in a hurry I like to order the vegetarian box lunch for takeout, which comes with eight little containers, each filled with a different Indian delicacy. My husband and I went there for our Valentine's Day dinner and he loved it too!

Always providing excellent service and a plush ambience, Ruth's Chris serves the best ribeye in town. The dish comes out on a fiery hot plate in sizzling butter and the cuts are always flavorful and tender. The sweet potato casserole, blue cheese wedge, and shoestring fries are must-have dishes as well.

I have been meaning to try this place for a while, and now that I finally did, I am almost mad at myelf for waiting do long! The food is amazing, went there for the lunch buffet which was so full of mouth watering items, I literally didn't know where to start. They change some of their items daily too, becuase when I went back later in the week they had a different meat at carving station. Also, it was unbelievably inexpensive - under $15 for all that food! We ate outside on the terrace, now that the weather has been so amazing...it was so peaceful and lovely out there. Everyone must try this place, you are truly missing out if you haven't.

We recently ventured to Café Vialetto to try some fine Italian food because of rave reviews from friends. It exceeded expectations so much that we have returned once per week ever since. This is 'our' place now.\r \r The restaurant is intimate but not cramped. There is a private dining room, which we will use in the very near future. The mood in enticing, the lighting has a perfect dim attitude, and the background audibles range from South Beach-esque beats to easy listening tunes depending on the time of night you are there.\r \r We are usually greeted by Marcelo or Ernie but a very nice hostess is usually in the mix. We always request to have Jared as our guy. He is fabulous. His extensive knowledge of the menu, both food and wine, make our experience tha much better. He has consistently individualized our selections so that we may experience all that the restaurant has to offer. He combines appetizers and entreés so that we can share the delights of multiple food items. Its special treatment that you just dont get anywhere in South Florida.\r \r The wine list is deceptive because there are more wines than are listed. We usually bring a bottle of Aphorist (no cork charge) and have them cork it for us. it is their pleasure to do so. However, we were recommmeded a Merlot from Washington State called 14 hands. Its great and I highly recommend it.\r \r The food. What can I say except everything we have tasted bursts with flavor. This place gets it. They use the perfect amount of truffles or truffle oil in their apps and entreés. Some restaurants are too strong with truffles. It appears as though all dished are prepared just for you. Presentation is top notch.\r \r Appetizers: After enjoying some warm bread with a diced tomato and garlic bruchetta, we usually order a combo of 3-5 appetizers. The Ahi tuna on tostone with shredded veggies and white truffle oil is AMAZING. The diver scallop submerged in lobster bisque covered in baked provelone is also fabulous. We also enjoy the 'Shrimp nugget' with a very nice Thai sauce.\r \r Marcelo served us an appetizer on the house consisting of gnocci, gargonzola fondue, bacon, and seared ahi tuna. Words will do no justice here....\r \r We have enjoyed many, many entreés including the tenderloin with gargonzola fondue (incredible steak), 'Bernie's' lamshank (Fall off the bone good) - I recommend the Saffron Risotto with this, Braised Short-Ribs (delightful to say the least), and Pappardelle with Braised Short-Rib and Mozzerella (This is simply the best pasta dish I can remember tasting).\r \r You can choose a combo of their 'Rockin Raviolis' which are each served with their own sauce on the same plate. I loved the filet mignon ravioli, crab ravioli, and pear ravioli. They have many more choices including ox tail.\r \r The restaurant has about 10 desserts. We have tried them all except the mango Cheesecake. The breadpudding with pineapple and amaretto is ludicrous. The chocolate cake is great and the tiramisu is served with crushed rocky road on top. The trés leches is also magnificent. \r \r I suggest you walk in after having made a reservation and bring your favorite bottle of wine. Have a seat at the bar (small and intimate) or hang in the foyer with a glass until your table is ready. We are never in a rush and sometimes have Marcelo seat other parties behind us because we enjoy the company of the staff while we wait. Try the 14 Hands Merlot is you enjoy red wine.\r \r You will leave Café Vialetto completely delighted and your taste buds longing for more. It wont be long before you return and with each passing time, the food and the service gets better.

This was a great dining experience. We had the option to sit by the cafe/bar area or inside the nicer dining area. Great red wine: Amethystos Had the grilled octopus with their famous Greek salad. Service was good. You have to request pita bread or else they just bring you regular french baguette bread. The tzatziki spread was amazing! Location is north of downtown Coral Gables but there is free parking in the hotel which owns the restaurant so parking was easy.

NOTE: I dined at the South Miami location on Sunset. I went here for my anniversary with my boyfriend and absolutely loved it. First off, my boyfriend and I went to Portugal this summer and enjoyed the cataplana com polvo at a little beach restaurant in the Algarve region. I checked out the menu and realized the restaurant didn't offer it, but noticed a few other octopus dishes so decided to write them an email. I received a reply the same day from Carlos saying they would be more than happy to accommodate our request and asked for a date and time when we would be dining. After eating in Miami for a few years now, I was surprised and pleased at how nice and pleasant the interaction was. Not to mention, the email wasn't written in broken English or in a way that it seemed like I was bothering anyone. I appreciate the attention. A few days later we showed up for our reservation and were promptly seated (again, somewhat of a rarity in Miami!). The decor was simple, yet elegant and actually reminded me of one of the nicer restaurants we ate at in Salema. The waiter brought fresh, hot bread and water and let us look at the wine menu before bugging us for any requests. Their selection of wines is amazing and I was really pleased to see a few different kinds of vinho verde. (FYI: We ordered the cheapest bottle and it was DELICIOUS!) The manager took our order and once I mentioned ""Carlos"", immediately knew what we wanted and took care of everything. In addition to our cataplana com polvo we ordered a cold polvo salad and mussels. Both appetizers were delicious. The octopus wasn't overcooked/chewy, with a succulent center. The mussels (a special of the day - not the New Zealand ones) were amazing - a good broth with just a hint of spice. The cataplana was so good - tomatoes and green peppers stewed together with potatoes, clams and octopus all served in the copper cataplana pot. AMAZING! I highly recommend this place. We had great service (the kind of place that fills your water glass before you can ask them) and amazing food. We'll definitely be back!

Growing up, my boyfriend went to Caffe Italia with his family frequently. Since it's a nice place, he decided to take me there on the night that he asked me to be his girlfriend. I had never been there before, but I loved it! The food is delicious. I'm a vegetarian, but I have never had a problem ordering at Caffe Italia. I've eaten great pasta dishes like the tortellini and whole-wheat linguine with marinara sauce and I loved the Caprese salad. The mozzarella sticks are a fantastic appetizer when you feel like splurging. The whole place is very low-key and down-to-earth, yet intimate. I really recommend it as a place to go with friends, family, or loved ones for great Italian food.

I went to Red Fish Grill last week with my boyfriend for our anniversary. I hadn't dined at the restaurant in a while and was very pleased with the entire experience. Quite a few things have changed since the last time I was there. They have replaced the old plastic chairs with chiq orange chairs that fit in perfectly with the tropical ambiance. A brand new awning was put up, covering a portion of the outdoor patio, which will be great on rainy nights. We were fortunate to have clear skies that evening and sat under the stars along the edge of the patio overlooking the lagoon, with the soft glow of a tiki torch lighting our table. Talk about romantic! The service was outstanding. Our waiter, Brian, was well-spoken, attentive and extremely personable, not typically found at most Miami restaurants. The menu has changed since the last time I was there. After asking, we were informed that a new chef has completely revamped the cuisine, and what a difference he has made. We started the meal with the Soup du Jour and the Peppercorn Seared Tuna appetizer. The Truffled Corn & Crab Soup was one of the tastiest soups that I have ever had and the Tuna appetizer was seared to perfection, with a nice hint of spice from the wasabi aioli. We ordered the Blackened Mahi Mahi and the Seabass Special. The Mahi had a nice kick to it, which married perfectly with the buttery whipped sweet potatoes and creamy blue cheese leek fondue. The crispy panko crusted Seabass was moist and flavorful, with a sauce that would make any well-mannered lady want to lick the bowl clean. To finish off our fantastic meal, we shared the delightfully tart Homemade Key Lime Pie. Now, I like to consider myself an expert on Key Lime Pie, and this one can stand up to the best of them. After revisiting Red Fish Grill, I can say that it is an unparalleled oasis in Miami's dining scene and I would recommend it to anyone who has yet to experience it.

Order Miss Saigon Rice Noodle Ric Style to understand what is so special about this place. Ask them about their herbs...they grow them! The entres are simple but fresh ingredients make the difference. Another favorite is chicken and vegetables. This is a place we take out of towners to experience...not often you find good Vietnamese at such good prices too. They also opened another location near Dadeland off US-1. Wow! The food here is just absolutely, totally, completely delicious. There hasn't been a dish I've tried and haven't enjoyed tremendously. ""Name that tune"" is one of my favorites. Tasty, tender chunks of meat with the best sauce ever.. one of the greatest things about these dishes is that you can eat the white rice with the sauce and the taste is deserving of an entree itself. The peanut dressing is really good. Service is great, ambiance and location are great.

If you're looking for that romantic coffee shop feel, Cafe Demetrio is your place. The atmosphere has that quaint charm, with dark wooden chairs inside and the outdoor patio is gorgeous, with lush landscaping, twinkling lights and small cafe tables. The food is also great, which for a coffee shop is a nice suprise. We recommend the hummus plate. But, as you would expect, the coffees and desserts are the stars of the menu. Anything in the dessert case is great, from the apple strudel to the napoleon to the tiramisu. Coffees are flavorful, but not burned tasting. Plus, they have soy milk.

As a Coral Gables resident I visit Villagio often. Like other posters have mentioned, this is a family friendly place. I have sampled just about everything on their menu and I enjoyed them all. I can't vouch for the wine and wine prices as I'm not a big wine drinker. Yes the bar area does have the appearance of a sports bar however, the crowd is definetly upscale. If you want cheap beer and to watch sports, cross the courtyard where you will find the Yardhouse. As you read the negative reviews, bear in mind as with all reviews, people are more inclined to write a bad review than to spend the time to write a good review. Cheers.

This is the nicest classic dive bar I have been in. You know, it really wouldn't be a dive bar except it is 50+ years old. Excellent beer selection, the best I've seen in South Florida, Lots of the trapists. Read about this bar in Maxim Magazine, Best Bar in America, it was rated at the top

An exceptional place where master Chef Fusao Enomoto combines his knowledge of French cuisine with an authentic Japanese fair. The place offers a wide variety of sushi rolls that will entertain anyone with a minimum degree of culinary adventure. It also has some basic options that will satisfy those who prefer to stay safe. The real deal comes to life under the Chef recommendation section. Crab croquets, tiraditos, soft shell crab and lobster tempura are a few of the delicacies this tiny but unpretentious place has to offer. The mussels are to die for and the salmon escabeche paired with one of several Sake options is just a delicacy. This place is a true Miami gem. Vegetarians will also find several options that will replenish the body and satisfy the soul.
