G And R Muffler And Brake Auto Service
Well, I will keep it short. I've been going to this repair shop for 5 years but this has been the worse service I've ever received. G&R has had my car for 25 days. I was told on yesterday to pick up my car, during the conversation I was told due to the wrong part that was why it took so long. Why wasn't I told that weeks ago. I called G&R over 12 times, no response. They have caller ID so I had Don call them while I was standing next to him they would answer and say "I'll have Greg call you back" in which he didn't. When Greg did talk to Don he said "We have to track the part, don't know where it is". I have spent over $400 in rental car expense not knowing when the care would be ready or what the status is regarding the car because no one would reach out to me regarding the car. The only time I spoke to Greg was when he wanted me to pick up the car on July 20th, they've had my car since June 26th. Very, very bad customer service. Greg was nasty to me when I picked up the car and brought to his attention the bad customer service he said "Here are your keys, get off my property, I fixed your car" (in front of a customer.) Well my car is not fixed. Too bad they didn't test drive my car before they gave it back to me. Power steering pump. Unhappy customer

Recently we left our Honda wagon for replacement of engine and transmission mounts. Just a few days after we picked the car up, we found a transmission leak that we had NEVER had before. We took the car back to be checked. After a week or two, they called and said it was additional $100.00 charge (they had NO intention of standing behind their work), After much discussion, they agreed to waive the charge to complete the job they had already been paid to do. We get the car back home, and find the splash plate under the engine/transmission dragging on the ground. We are afraid to leave the car with them again, because of their sloppy work ethics. I found it does no good to try to speak with the owner (Larry), because he is very seldom available to come to the phone, or return customer's conclusion, they need never worry about any of me three cars in the future. I will park them and let nature take its course before they would ever touch one again!USE THIS RPAIR(???) SHOP AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!

I attempted to complete a "no hassle" "no haggle" deal obtained through USAA auto buying service. At first they said sure, no problem, we have the exact vehicle in stock, we will honor your "guaranteed savings certificate" However, when I tried to complete the deal, they came back with a completely non-discounted (and completely noncompetitive) price, and tried to negotiate a new deal. Not what I signed up for and not what I was willing to drive 4 hours to pick up. They claimed USAA/Truecar made a mistake, but it turns out they themselves entered the price wrong. And then completely refused to make any concession for their error, in fact lying and claiming the error was not theirs. These are not honorable people. I would not trust them or waste my time dealing with them. They do not stand by their deals.

We have used this company for over 5 years. Mr leroy's work has not only proven to be that expected of a master mechanic but without the dealership prices.

Greg worked on my exhaust week after week trying to get a good sound. Because I have a convertible, it can't be too loud inside as to drown out any conversation with someone in the car or on the phone. G&R (Greg) is my new "go to" place when I need something done on my camaro and very reasonable price also!!

This place is awesome , very reliable , very fast and convenient . I took my Audi A4 Quattro 2003 to get checked because I had an engine light on and I needed to pass inspection. They fixed the problem within 2 days and the price was good and low , compared to those other auto services in the are . I recommend this auto shop.
Tips & Advices
Depending on the part and its overall quality, a good amount of money can be saved by purchasing aftermarket parts versus OEM parts. But aftermarket parts that are low in price might also be lower in quality and could do more harm than good to your car, or they may need to be replaced more frequently than a more expensive counterpart. This could lead to saving some money in the short term, but spending more than anticipated in the long term.
The type of tires being purchased is the most significant determinant of their price. SUV tires are more costly than average car tires. And high-performance tires are more costly than economy grade tires. On average, standard tires for an average-sized vehicle are around $100 per tire. Standard tires for an SUV are around $150 and pick-up truck tires are about $200 on average. Some dealers offer discounts if purchasing more than one tire.
Car inspections typically take about an hour. However the wait time can be longer depending on how busy the shop is. Call ahead for an appointment to avoid long wait times.
Depending on the manufacturer, certain aftermarket parts can be just as reliable as Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. But one item within a vehicle, like oil filters for instance, could have multiple manufacturers and there could be inconsistencies in quality among them.
Costs of replacing a windshield can vary greatly depending on a variety of factors:
  • Vehicle make and model
  • How much of the cost insurance will cover
  • Whether the windshield installers come to your location or you bring the vehicle to them
  • Standard service costs of the windshield installers
Generally, newer and higher-end vehicles cost more to have their windshields replaced because certain manufacturers use modified or proprietary glass types.
