Two friends and I were working on a Saturday project, so we mentioned going out for a meal. We decided on a place that I had never been, the ""Coastal Ale House"".\r \r On walking into the Coastal Ale House, it felt like being in Hawaii again. We were greeted by several employees, and we chose to sit at the bar. Above the bar, there is a wicker fan that has multiple fans working in tandem from one motor by creative use of cams, very cool. The murals, patio and balcony gave the feeling of openness. The dark wood gave a real homey feeling to the place.\r \r The waitress took our drink orders, and they had my favorite on tap. The menu had a wide variety of possibilities: appetizers; soups; salads; sandwiches; wraps; pastas; about 16 Entrees; desserts and sides. You will have to go there to see them all, but they have a Filet Mignon for $19.95.\r \r My mind was on soup and sandwich. New England clam chowder is one of my favorites. Many places do not make it good! The waitress said it was the special soup for the day, it made me wonder if I was in for a treat. The Clam Chowder was excellent.\r \r Three sandwiches appealed, Grouper, Reuben, and what Coastal Ale House calls ?Grouper Reuben?. Use a little imagination put Reuben and Grouper together in your mind ? it could be a delicious sandwich. They will cook the Grouper: Grilled; Blackened; Broiled; or Fried. My Grouper Reuben was Grilled with a side of Cole Slaw.\r \r The sandwich was nicely presented on the plate with a large helping of Cole, which was without question the best, perfect to go with the sandwich. Ah, the Grouper Reuben ? cooked to perfection, covered with Reuben sauce ? my imagination of how this would taste was exceeded. What a great sandwich, from a cool restaurant with really good atmosphere. I highly recommend Coastal Ale House be put on your list of places to go to eat while you are in Myrtle Beach, or Conway. Bring some good friends, kick back and enjoy. \r

First I will say that it's a tad pricey, approx $35 for the buffet and a soda. That being said, it is WELL worth the price. This is probably the best buffet I've ever bellied up to. It has EVERYTHING. The seafood was fresh and excellent and bountiful. There was other food for those (crazy people) who don't like seafood. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant.

The rolls are not described on the menu (just the name of the roll, like "dynamite roll") and the staff doesn't even know what's in them. I am lactose intolerant, so it's important that I don't get rolls with cream cheese. After asking the waiter what was in each roll (no he did not seem happy to do so) I made sure to order three rolls that didn't have cream cheese (one was a shrimp tempura, one salmon, and another was spicy tuna). After he brought out the sushi, I noticed that two of the three rolls had cream cheese and I asked him politely about it. He gave me an attitude and I asked to speak to the manager. Well after waiting on my food, receiving the wrong food, and dealing with this waiter, I had spent over an hour and a half in this restaurant. The manager apologized for any confusion while telling me that those were the rolls I ordered. I told him that I clearly asked the waiter what was in each roll and specifically stated I could not have cream cheese due to an allergy. He looked a little shocked and took the two rolls off my bill that had the cream cheese in them. Aside from this, he did nothing else. No apology for wasting my time, no offer to make new rolls that I could actually eat. He just said that he removed the two rolls I could not eat off of my bill and apologized for the confusion. Glad I didn't go here to celebrate my anniversary with my husband and have the night ruined, oh wait, I DID.

recently went there with my fiance for Memorial Day weekend and we decided to have lunch here before heading home. We were wary at first, the buffet looked smaller than what we were expecting, but after our first crab leg we were happy to stay! The crab legs were perfect, not too salty and they came out in a whole piece, not in clumps like other places. The corn on the cob was juicy and good, the salad bar was filled with just your necessity, no frills. The service was ok, could have been better at refilling drinks and the bathroom is very awkward to get in and out of. It is a bit expensive, @ $26/pp, but we were glad to try it!

Everytime I come home to Myrtle Beach my family and I ALWAYS dine at Benjamin's. Not only are the hushpuppies to die for, but the seafood there is prepared as if I were in my own kitchen. Southern style home made seafood. Yummy.

The food at the Noisy Oyster is amazing!! We were there about 3 o'clock before the dinner rush. Our food came quickly and was reasonably priced. Sadie, our bartender/waitress, was very attentive and friendly! Eddie, the manager, even thanked us for coming in and made sure that we had a great experience. I will certainly be back!

Great service and the whole restaurant has a cool nautical theme. Lots of models of ships and fish. Real fish in aquariums too. The food is pretty good, much of the vegetables taste like they come from big cans. The salad bar is not fancy but more than adequate. They have steak and prime rib, but both have obviously been sitting there for hours. All are well done that we saw. There is a pasta bar, with a guy who cooks the pasta, but he is not friendly and won't cook for you or heat up the pasta from the bar. My neices both got spaghetti and it was ice cold!! We did not know that the pasta good should have said something to them so he could heat up their meals. What a waste, but he must have been too busy to take care of preteens. Very pricey so make sure you can eat $30 worth of food (before you even pay for a drink!) Be sure you have coupons!
