My Bad Boys Auto Repair
Brought my 94 Acura Legend over to the Bad Boys to have the heater core replaced as they quoted about half of what the dealer wanted. They did the job - all is well, and they even ended up making the light for the ABS system go out as part of the process, something the dealer told me would cost me over $2500 to have replaced and it ended up not costing me a nickel. They also changed the oil, checked the fluids and did a complete inspection. They found a minor issue with the suspension. Peter jacked the car up on both sides and showed me the amount of play on each of the front wheels, then took me over to his computer and showed me pictures of the worn parts and exactly what needed to be done to fix the problem. The repair is not urgent, yet something I'll plan for in the near future.Super competent and courteous people. They even dropped me off at the BART station and picked me up at BART when I returned from Oakland to pick up the car. I'd give them 10 stars if I could.

Lehmer's Concord Buick Gmc
Tom Mimiaga, a Service Advisor at Lehmer's Concord was quite receptive to a reoccurring squeaking issue I was having with my brakes on a 2013 Encore that I purchased new. Long story short--I had been there on two previous attempts and this time they tracked down the issue and solved it. Done, vehicle washed and out the door. Mr. Mimiaga has ensured that I will be a long-term customer to Lehmer's Concord dealership. Totally pleased with his professionalism, listened to my concerns and fixed them expeditiously. Can't ask for more.S. de Carrillo

BMW Concord Collision Center
"The BMW Concord Collision Center took about a week to repair the front end of my Mini Cooper. The entire process from arranging a tow truck to pick up my car in Oakland, dropping my Mini in Concord, handling the insurance claim, rental car pickup and drop off all went very smoothly. David kept me informed about the parts ordered and the work being done on my car. I was really pleased with the final outcome, the car's front end looked brand new, better than expected. The car was also thoroughly cleaned inside out. Thanks for a great job"

D & H Enterprises
I visited D and H Enterprises for a recent brake job. I was not only satisfied with the quote they gave me on the job but their team of experts knew how to take care of me from the very beginning. It is hard to find a auto repair shop that value honesty and integrity while also providing 5 star service. Mary and her staff took care of my needs and they've gained a customer for LIFE! Thanks D and H:-)

I found your staff quite amiable, definitely trained and informative. I am completely satisfied not only with the quality of the repair work but the speed at which it was done. You have an excellent team going there. I hope I won't have future collision-type problems with my M5 but if I do, you will be the place I come back to. Thank you very much.

Tech Point
Daniel is a great mechanic from Kenya. He does wonderful jobs and his charges are very reasonable. We have 4 10+ years old cars and Daniel kept them running without costing us a fortune. He is very thorough and he would carefully determine the cause before making repair, so the problem could be fixed in one try.

Anywhere Auto Repair
Awesome service! They repaired my 2003 Infinity M45. It actually runs better now, than before it started malfunctioning and completely died on me. The great thing was that it did not cost me my arm. So now I will be taking my car to them for repairs.

Joe in the service department is awesome! He always takes good care of me and my vehicle. Everyone is very friendly at Lehmer's. Nelson, who drives the shuttle, is also wonderful and I enjoy getting a ride from him whenever I need to.

The service light came on for our Buick La Sabre, and I took it in for a service check on why?I was charged $177.00 for a gas cap. This is outrageous, I can understand labor cost. This was way to much for such a small item.
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
