Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
Chris went above and beyond to not only explain what he needed to do, but went the extra step to make some calls to get additional parts needed to solve an issue I had been having in my basement for months. As a single mom, you often feel like you are being taken advantage of when it comes to repairs needed. Chris was extremely professional and even gave me pointers on what I can do on my own. He said if he did his job right, I would never see him again. :) THANK YOU CHRIS!

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
In the early morning hours of Oct. 19th (1:00 AM) I had my water meter break loose from the main water line in my basement. As the water was pouring in I called Roto Rooter because I used them before for drain work. I explained the problem and they said that they would send a plumber as soon as I had the water turned off from the street. They called back within a ½ hour to see if I contacted Columbus water department. I told them that I was having problems finding the emergency phone number and they looked it up for me. Within 45 minutes of the first call, John from Roto Rooter was at my home assisting me with the problem, John wasn’t a plumber but from the water restoration side of the company. John stayed with me until the water company showed up (2 ½ hours after calling Columbus). Then John called his dispatcher to get a plumber out to assess the problem (4:00AM). Tony (the plumber) said that I could save hundreds of dollars if I was willing to wait until 8AM to get the needed part to fix the water line. I did and by 8:30 AM the repair was completed.John returned and helped me contact my insurance agent and get the paperwork completed to start the water restoration, what a fantastic job they did, the basement never look better. John also contacted ERS, a company that is examining my tools that got water logged.Never having to experience an event of this type before, what a comfort it was having a company like Roro Rooter at your side from start to finish. Great job by all.

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
The technician was kind and courteous and appeared to know what he was talking about. I appreciated that. However, I do not appreciate having to pay additional money when I have 2 situations - that the 1 is caused by the first problem. My sink was backed up due to food clog - which fed into my tub (small house) - The tech was able to get the sink unclogged, but said there would be addtl charge if he worked on the tub clog now because it didn't fix along w/ sink. $305. initial and you don't think that's enough money -????????/ Kind of like HIGH WAS ROBBERY! this is not OK with me!I won't use your service againl. - THis is NOT due to the the tech. he was following YOUR procedures.

Wonderful experience. Scheduling was very easy - I placed an online request for service late last night and the technician was here first thing this morning. He diagnosed the problem right away and fixed it very quickly. He was very professional and took time to explain things and answer my questions. It is a relief to know who quickly Roto-Rooter responds and I will definitely call them in the future and refer people to them.

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
Roto-Rooter and the technician, Matthew 32-1563, did an excellent job responding to my plumbing repair need this past Saturday. My toilet was leaking water from the tank to the bowl due to a worn out rubber ring on the flush valve. An easy job to tackle until I realized the the bolts were impossible to remove after multiple failed attempts. One quick call to Roto-Rooter to describe the problem, and the dispatcher called me back within 30 mins to inform me of Matthew's arrival. Matthew arrived on time and listened carefully of my plumbing issue. He explained what he had to do and informed me of the hourly rate. He completed the repair within the mentioned time frame, and checked for leaks three times before considering the job to be complete. He was thorough, professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. He finished the job on time and he cleaned things up afterwards. Great job Sir! Thank you very much for your help in repairing my plumbing need on a Saturday evening! Greatly appreciated!Sincerely, Thanh

Needed emergency service on a Saturday morning. The technician arrived when he said he would and was able to resolve the immediate problem. Utilized Roto Rooter for the long term fix several days later. Prompt, professional and the price was fair. Highly recommend.

Roto Rooter completed the job another plumber Bolen Plumbing was unable to complete. It was no problem for Roto Rooted. They were very prompt at handling the problem, and very professional. They also informed me regularly of the progress. I recommend them if you want the job done right
Tips & Advices
  • Are you licensed and registered?
  • Are you insured and bonded?
  • How many years have you been in business?
  • What, if any, professional associations do you belong to?
  • May I have a list of references?
  • Do you offer a written warranty for your work?
  • Will I need a permit for this work?
It is important to have a written warranty for any work or repairs done to the plumbing in your house, especially if it is a major repair. Look for a professional  who is willing to  stand by his or her work.
Before you hire a plumber, contact their past customers if you're able to. These people can be a wealth of information if you ask them the right questions. Pose the following queries to these former patrons when you get the chance:
  • Were you pleased with the work done?
  • Was the project completed on time?
  • Did the plumber give you a written warranty and guarantee his or her work?
  • Were there any unexpected costs that arose?
  • Would you hire this plumber again? If not, why?
A permit provides added assurance that the work is done correctly. Having this in place means an inspector will check the work your contractor or plumber does to ensure he or she did the job correctly. If you plan on putting your house or commercial building on the market, a real estate agent and prospective buyers will want to check any large work you did to make sure it was done properly.
A trustworthy plumber will have both commercial liability insurance as well as be bonded. The insurance and the bond protects the plumber from paying for any damages made to your house out of pocket. Having professionals that carry both of these policies can protect all of you from any mishaps that could occur while they work on your building.
