The Clock Tower
My sister got married at The Clock Tower on 8/30/2013. Everything was perfect! I admit I was initially skeptical when she booked the venue after reading some online reviews because I live in Florida and wasn t able to visit in advance. However it could not have been more perfect. The tables were dressed beautifully with linens and sashes and the chairs to match. The food was incredible! The drinks were on the strong side which was a bit of a surprise considering it was an open bar and usually in that situation they would be watered down . The wait staff was super friendly and always around. The bartenders were efficient. We were able to go in to the venue a few days in advance to decorate only because they didn t have anything booked a few days prior to the wedding since it was held on a Friday, which was very convenient I m sure it doesn t always work this way but it was very nice to be able to do this. I didn t have too much interaction with the owners of the place but what I did they were friendly and flexible. I did have more interaction with someone on staff named Mallory, she was fantastic. She had set up everything exactly how I explained the day before in regard to the water filled center pieces with the dye, flowers, and candles which was impressive considering the description I gave her was as I was running out the door, she was super helpful. My sister used an outside DJ so I have no input on the in house DJ. After the reception the kitchen staff wondered out to help with the clean up and even they were super awesome. No complaints with anything. Would definitely recommend this venue.

Columbus Museum of Art
Note: I received a private guided tour when the museum was closed as part of my work with Experience Columbus. However, I had previously visited Columbus Museum of Art on four separate occasions.I love art museums. I used to live in France, where I fell in love with art. This art museum includes both a fabulous permanent collection (MONET!!!) and engaging temporary exhibitions. On my most recent visit, I was most captivated by Aminah’s Presidential Suite, a new exhibition featuring some of the work by late Columbus artist Aminah Robinson. She created this particular body of work in celebration of the first African-American president. Whenever I visit the Columbus Museum of Art, I get distracted by all the interactive opportunities. While some are more geared towards children, many of the hands-on activities are fun for all ages. If you aren't really into art, stop by on Sundays when there's free admission. You will still easily enjoy an hour or two.

Motel 6
About ten minutes from downtown, right off 670, this place was the LEAST EXPENSIVE accommodation in town (one joint wanted $295...YES, almost THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS for ONE NIGHT!) At $50+tax (military discount, thank you very much!) we couldn't have been happier, with a king-sized bed, non-smoking room, outdoor pool and free wifi. The room was very clean...not going to say IMMACULATE, because my wife didn't detail it...didn't reek of smoke, and wasn't really noisy. I have a problem with stairs, and they made sure we were on the first floor. How cool izzat? We like little weekend getaways...we will be back, to this one.

Ramada Inn
This was a very nice hotel. Most of the staff went out of their way for us, as we had special circumstances..we arrived later in the evening, and the waitress in the dining room kept it open just for us. The rooms were beautiful and had every amenity we could ask for. The only complaint was that the indoor pool water was ICE cold. Other than that, a most pleasant experience.

Budget Inn Columbus West
The staff here, and Al in particular took good care of us. My wife left her expensive memory foam pillow during our brief stay, and they were able to save it for me, which saved me over 100 dollars. I was delayed in my original pickup of the pillow, so they ended up holding it nearly 7 weeks. Would have been easy for them to throw it away and not notice it was special.

Had a good stay here. Was cautious being an extended stay, but they treated me like family. Great staff! Becky always went out of her way to help me out whenever I needed a hand bring in groceries or whatever.

This place does serve free coffee and a simple breakfast (cereal, dounts, toast) in the morning which can be convenient. Free apples are a nice plus. The rooms have microwaves and minifridges which are useful

However, I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were pleasant. The hotel was nothing special to look at on the outside. But my room was nice. It was very quite throughout my stay (stayed one night) .

Just a moment...
