American Vinyl
American Vinyl contracted with our condominium association to provide siding replacement on our clubhouse. We couldn't have made a better selection in the company we used. They are an honest business, providing quality workmanship and reasonable prices. They take pride in their work and will go over and above in ensuring that their customers get what they want, regardless of what type of job they are doing. They provide a lifetime warranty on all repairs they make, and they have never had a BBB complaint in over 47 years of being in business. That says something about their willingness and flexibility in working with their customers until they are 100% satisfied with the job. They are patient in answering all questions, addressing any concerns, and will repair things that come up that were not part of the original scope of the work to ensure that the job is done correctly. A christian family owned business, they have the utmost integrity and honesty of any company out there. As a result of the quality workmanship, reasonable pricing, and their overall integrity as a contractor, our association ended up having them do many other jobs for us including roof repairs, installation of vinyl fencing (looks fabulous), siding repairs, gutter installation and cleaning, installation of vinyl wrapped canopies and kickplates, vinyl wrapping of gas meter stations, etc. Every job was completed within the timeframe they said it would be completed, and on most projects, they worked 6 days a week. Great employees, always courteous and willing to answer questions. They don't waste time, get straight to work, and are consistently working. As the president of the association, I was highly pleased and more than satisfied with the work they did and the relationship we established throughout all the projects they did for us. You can't find a better contractor! Let American Vinyl be your first choice and I guarantee you will not be dissatisfied.

American Vinyl
First off, I was NOT paid, asked, or even encouraged to write this review! :-) I spent quite a bit of time looking at reviews and getting estimates before having my project done. American Vinyl was competitive in their pricing and was recommended by a friend who had work done by them previously. I'm so impressed with American Vinyl and the job they did. I had my siding replaced and all of the wood trim on my house wrapped, which was a lot of work. It honestly looks like a brand new house! Tom Greene, the owner, was great to work with. I had a lot of questions, and he came out to the house several times before I even decided to use them to answer my questions. Very patient and flexible. The crew that did the work was courteous and friendly. They were willing to answer my questions also. They also did a nice job with keeping things cleaned up throughout the project. It was obvious that they took great pride in the work that they did, and liked to show me daily what they had gotten accomplished. A few issues with the house came up as they were working (caused by previous contractors), and the crew addressed them quickly and without adding cost, even though it wasn't included in the original estimate. I would not hesitate one second to have this company do other things around the house, and plan on calling them again if anything comes up.

American Vinyl
I have never been more impressed with any other company to do work on my home than I was with American Vinyl. Tom Greene, the President of American Vinyl (who was involved every step of the way in the entire process of re-siding my home), and his entire crew are not just your average "workmen" doing "home improvements." Rather, to me, they are absolute geniuses! I mean it. The work they do is beyond spectacular. This is the most professionally ran company I have ever met. They do not just do "home improvements"...they do artwork on homes. I can only say if you don't believe me, check out the references he has and look for yourself at all the work he has completed. Mr. Greene has over 40 years of Exterior Home knowledge, and you can tell he loves his work, and is also very reasonable and fair in his pricing. I was truly honored to have him do the work he did on my home, and I can only say may God bless Tom Greene and his crew! What a blessing they are to Columbus!!!

Apollo Pro Cleaning
Hands down the best carpet cleaning company in C-bus. The crew at Apollo are exceptional! I called on a Wednesday to schedule a three area cleaning. They were available to come the following Monday. They gave me a call Monday morning to let me know they were on their way and showed up right at the scheduled time...wearing ties! (We've had other carpet cleaners show up hours late or not show at all). Apollo went above and beyond...cleaning our stairs and a wool rug without charge. They even used a fan to dry the carpets quicker. (Other companies we've had simply leave them damp and warn you not to step on them until the next day.) Our carpets looked brand new when they left. Very friendly folks. Great prices. Even better service. Professional and courteous.

A+ Gutters
They were able to give me an estimate and an appointment immediately! And $75 for a gutter cleaning is AMAZING compared to the other estimates I have been getting (up to $165, and our house isn't very big!) The man who came today was very kind and courteous. He found some small problems with how our downspouts were assembled and fixed those on the spot. He also found a problem with how the roofers recently did our roof in regards to the way it overhangs the gutters, and he even took photos of the problems and offered to speak to our roofing company on our behalf. I think that is way above and beyond just cleaning our gutters and I am very grateful! We will definitely be using A+ gutters for our future cleanings and recommending them to friends and family.

American Vinyl
QUALITY WORKMANSHIP, REASONABLE PRICES, TRUSTWORTHY In today's business it's hard to find a company that has integrity. For many it's all about the money but for Tom Greene and his crew at American Vinyl it's all about the customer. You're not pressured to buy and more importantly you're not sold anything you don't need….that's integrity. Their products are excellent quality, their installers are very courteous and professional and I couldn't be more pleased with my new roof. My entire experience with American Vinyl from first inspection to install has been outstanding and I highly recommend them.

Durable Slate Roofing & Slate Roof Restoration Co
Our recent experience was by far thebest experience we’ve ever had with Durable or with any other company that’s worked with us inside or outside our home. The attention they paid to our house was awesome. The time and care they took with every part of the job was incredible. And perhaps, most of all, the way they kept us informed on what they were doing, and when we needed something that hadn’t been foreseen, and why it was needed, was great. We will definitely use Durable Slate for all of our future projects!

I would recommend this company to anyone who is in need of Siding , Roofing , Window Replacement, Gutters, Shutters etc.; they are the best to work with and so helpful. The contractor, Mr Greene, is the owner of the Company and HE is who you deal with. I have no complaints......He also worked with our insurance company to help us get the money for our Insurance claim! My Roof and Siding look great! Quality job professionally installed.
Tips & Advices
If there is ever a dispute regarding payment over the course of the project, a contractor or subcontractor could place a payment claim, or lien, on your property. To avoid this, ask the contractor to sign a lien release, which is a legal agreement that states that any payment accepted is final. This can come in handy if a contractor has his or her own payment issues with their subcontractors. Signing a lien release form certifies that any payment made by a client to the contractor is enough to pay for any goods or services rendered.
Absolutely ask. Paying too much up front offers the homeowner minimal leverage if the quality of work does not meet expectations or contractual specifications. Try to establish a reasonable pay schedule, such as paying 10 percent of the total cost for each 10 percent of the work that is completed. Include this payment plan in the contract, as well.
Before any money changes hands, there should be a contract to sign. Make sure the specifics of the work and all costs are listed in the contract, including details. If you forget to have something included in the contract after signing it, there's rarely a chance of recourse.
Ask the contractor for proof of their certification before signing anything, as well as their proof of insurance. You should also check your homeowners insurance policy to see if they offer coverage for contracted work. You may want to call your insurance provider and ask for more details on what your plan will and won't cover.
Yes. Plans for how the work site will be cleaned at the end of each day as well as at the conclusion of work need to be put in writing. An experienced general contractor should make every effort to keep the workspace clean and prevent dirtying or damaging any other area. Even so, talk with the contractor about the daily schedule, the logistics of transporting workers and equipment, and how cleanup will be handled.

Just a moment...
