A AAA Landon Movers
Mr. Landon promptly responded to our inquiry for a move date/time and even though it was only a few days notice he was able to accommodate. The movers (3) arrived a little ahead of schedule, greeted us professionally, listened to our requests and began immediately. They worked quickly, loading approx 95 boxes and a few pieces of furniture within 40 minutes.The items were going to a storage unit and upon arrival to the unit it appeared as if it may not accommodate the entire load. Ron (the team lead) worked diligently and utilized every nook and cranny of the storage unit and the entire load fit. It was awesome as we were trying to come up with a plan B if all the items wouldn't fit.The other 2 gentlemen on the team worked hard getting the product off the truck while Ron packed the unit. I had expected a 3 hour move, but these guys hustled and were done in 2 hours. Unbelievable!! I would HIGHLY recommend Landon Movers.

Following the signing of my moving contract, the coordination of this move and the customer service provided by Berger has completely fallen apart.I was provided false and incorrect information from Berger for everything from the required use of a shuttle to load my truck, to the number of movers loading my truck, to the time it would take them to load it.Add to that the poor attitude of the truck driver, the fact that an item was left behind on the front lawn (placed there by the movers), and Berger's lack of action to resolve any of it, and I am an extremely dissatisfied customer.The manager at this location has also not held up his end of the agreement in investigating my complaints in a timely manner. At this time, I have filed a complaint with the BBB, and am awaiting additional contact from Berger or the BBB regarding this move.

Worst company in the world!! They moved me twice and both times destroyed thousands of dollars worth of my furniture. They refused to pay the fair value for repairs. What's more is when I had problems with them they refused to speak to me regarding the matter and stated "The claim has been settled and we can no longer help you" The adjuster they sent to my home was rude and the claims agent with the company did not care that her company had damaged my household goods and said it was not her problem. Buyer beware. Two times they burned me and now I have a house full of damaged furniture due to their lack of professionalism.

They were great for me .Moved a washer and dryer from Columbus to Dayton. On time quick. Recommending them to my sons girlfriend. Very very nice people.

WORST MOVERS EVER!!!!!!!!!! I would get into the whole story but bottom line is NEVER hire this company. Whatever you get quoted it will be double on top of that they are very unprofessional. I am only giving it one star becasue zero was not an option

They didn't show up! When we called, no one could answer (for a week) and the mailbox was full. When we finally got in touch with them they claimed to have told US to CALL THEM to confirm the day before. We were never told that. The excuse was "oh, you had a bad connection so you probably didn't hear that part." Funny, every business we worked with since then calls or sends US a text to confirm! They should be glad they don't ask for a deposit or they would've been in court!

HORRIBLE & UNPROFESSIONAL Company. They do not care about their customers or their image. They tracked mud and dirt into both houses. They yell at their customers and the movers threaten their customers with up charges. The movers also attached the customers about their furniture and disrespect them in their own house.

Liars & Thieves!The owner made grand and glourious promisies that never came true. Simplest of ones was that they would protect the carpets. They did not and then when they became very dirty, the owner refused to accept responsibility for them and claimed that they already looked like that. He also claimed to use only full time employees yet there were sub-contractors on the crew that showed who in turn were caught trying to steal clothing items. They also broke 5 pieces of furniture, gouged the walls, broke a light and then demanded an amount more than promised. Never heard the phrase no big deal so much in my life when in fact it was a very big deal to be breaking and trying to steal my thingsScumbags!

Worst Moving Company Ever! The owner Terri came to my home in columbus and informed me how great a company they are. He told all my furniture would be wrapped prior to leaving my home, when they came the mover stated pulling furniture out of my. Home onto my driveway , I tried to stop them and told them it must be wrapped prior to. Leaving the house. The movers told me do not worry we wrap everything in the truck. My furniture went to storage for two months then was delivered to New Hampshire. Nothing was wrapped I asked the mover why and he told me it was just tossed in to a storage unit, this is how the found it. all my furniture was damaged, they crushed all wardrobe boxes and many boxes marked fragile .destroyed my dining room set , brand new leather furniture and four bedroom sets , they even crush the handle on a huge tool box. I was very upset sent pictures to the office and they would not respond. I asked they to have Terri the owner call me and explain why nothing was wrapped. The ignored all emails. I did take out the extra insurance but can not get any claim forms. I had to retain a lawyer, and they final sent me an email asked me to document all damage. This could take months it would be easier to document What wasn't damage not much made it through. My lawyer feels we will be filing a law suit against them, if you value your belongs, Please take my advice and run from this fly by night company, Mike New Hampshire

Yes, it’s best to empty drawers, wardrobes and chests before a move. Items always get knocked around a bit, and doors can fly open even if they’ve been taped. In fact, more often than not, movers will want to remove the drawers from a dresser--or disassemble the wardrobe to be more space-efficient.

A bill of lading is the legal contract for the move. It provides a detailed receipt, in addition to a contract between the client and the mover. It authorizes the mover to transport the goods from one specific point to another, and it outlines the exact scope of services, with cost breakdown for those services. It also provides an itemized list of the inventory, and carrier liability protection for each declared item. Finally, it specifies the payment arrangement. Make sure to go over your itemized list extremely carefully before finalizing the paperwork--and get a copy of the full document. A good mover will go over everything on the bill of lading with the customer.
There are several items that moving companies will not move – those items will be listed on a document as “non-allowables.” These items typically fall in three categories: perishables, sentimental/personal items, and hazardous material. Perishables are food and plants. Sentimental/personal value is up to the client to decide, but usually includes jewelry, medical and dental records, personal paperwork, valuables and collectibles. Hazardous material is the tricky category, since it includes a lot of everyday items found in the garage, garden or kitchen. For example, cleaning liquids and pesticides both are considered non-allowable by many companies. Some go so far as to disallow nail polish and batteries.
A binding estimate means that the moving company cannot charge more than the stated amount, though they can lower the final bill if the scope of the job was smaller than expected. A non-binding moving estimate is more likely to wind up costing more than expected, since the movers can increase their rates for unforeseen variables like stairs, “long carry” and materials.
