one of my favorite Chinese restaurantsThe food is really good..never had anything I did not like-love the moo shu veggie -- but why I really like this restaurant is the girl who takes the orders. She is nice and she always brings the food out to my brother and I. The rest of the staff was also very nice once helping me find my car keys I had dropped in the dark parking lot denoting considerable time to help me find them which in my panic I appreciated.I also like that they have no problem with special requests I have made and they even charge you the same when they add an extra veggie or even less when I requested just broth when I was fasting drinking only fresh juices, herbs and broths as part of a health building program to try to beat a recent cancer diagnosis. I'm on day 47 of my planned 120 day juice fast and I am sure I will be in to get more delicious broth which helps tide me over when I start craving food. . Awaiting the day when I can again eat some of the many choices.I was just talking to another patron who said he liked the food so much there that it is the only Chinese restaurant he goes to. He could not have made a better choice..not the fanciest but a great little place located near Eastland mall in a nearby shopping center off Hamilton road south of refugee one block or so.Great job, staff, on everything from friendliness, price, service and of course, yummy. attractive food.So glad we live close by..I believe they are friendlier than most of the other Chinese restaurants I have been to and a little more willing than some of the restaurants to make adjustments/special requests for the customers. At restaurants that refused to do this, I don't go there anymore as the request is simple and It makes me feel they are not concerned about their customers..here they are concerned in your happiness and dining pleasure and I like that. I feel better when I see the server's friendly smile. They would get even more kudos from me if they would offer brown rice and even more veggie dishes as well as I am trying to eat more vegan and healthier than before. I hope they will consider this request as I am seeing more and more Chinese restaurants offering brown rice and vegetarian entries than ever. As more people are wanting to eat whole grains and are going vegetarian or vegan or at least cutting back on meat so if they offer more of this, they can please both meat eater and those on a plant based eating plan.
If you are looking for an AUTHENTIC Mexican dining experience in Columbus, run - DO NOT WALK - to Playa Largo! (To give you a clue as to how authentic this restaurant is, the menu is in Spanish and the clientele when I was there was almost entirely of Hispanic or Latino descent.) Absolutely excellent and quite delicious mix of tasty home-style cooking, as well as traditional American/Mexican "fusion" dishes and very near gourmet grade Mexican dishes. Service is at a relaxed pace, and food was served by several members of the cooking staff when I dined there with a friend. Having lived previously in both Texas and Southern California, this humble establishment was exactly what I had been missing! Not for everyone if you prefer familiar Americanized Mexican served at lunch-hour pacing, but If you are somewhat adventurous in your eating preferences, try Playa Largo. You will NOT be disappointed.

I have not had much on the menu, but the romano crusted chicken is more than enough reason to go back. It's one of those things where I'd like to try other stuff on the menu, but it's just so good that I find myself ordering it every time. I'm only giving this 4 stars because I've been in larger parties where several people were disappointed with their food (one of these occasions was an Easter brunch so I know that's kind of a crazy day where things are bound to go wrong) so I dunno. In any case, I'll keep going back and keep ordering the romano crusted chicken until it lets me down. So far, so good! Also, I think it's worth noting that the staff has always been helpful anytime there was an issue, and they have always been nice in my experience. A little niceness goes a long way!
My husband and I came in from Indiana to visit our son who goes to The Ohio State University(Go Buckeyes!) last weekend and we wanted to have a hot breakfast before touring Campus with our son and found this little Diner not to far from his apartment off Weber Road. I wasn't too sure what to expect, not knowing the area, but what a pleasure, the food and service was GREAT and even got to talk to the "new" owner , who made the experience even better, she apologized for our slight wait , but I understood , they were very busy and a new cook, but as I explained it gave my husband and I a chance to "tie" our son down and see how the past 6 months away from home has been..lol..Service was wonderful, we will definitely add Louie's DayBreak Diner to our Favorites...Tom and Barb Walker..
My only gripe with this place is that they have delicious, self-serve coffee outside for the people patiently waiting for a table, but you can't add it to your tab if you partake. I never carry cash so I had to run to an ATM just to make sure I didn't end up on Santa's naughty list this year. Other than that, it's heaven. The food is excellent, and the portions are more than generous. This is hearty, southern-style comfort food right in the heart of Ohio! Can't wait to hit it up again, but I will be sure to have a couple bills in my pocket before I get there :)
Visited here during the previous summer. I ordered their weekly special, a steak, potatoes, and vegetables option. The steak was WAY overcooked and hard to cut, the potatoes appear to have been made from a box, and the green beans were from a can! I couldn't believe it! By the time our server asked us how our meal was, we just mumbled off and avoided the question so we could get out of there as fast as possible!
