Animal Care Center At Cherry Way
I highly recommend the Animal Care Center At Cherry Way. I have been taking my dog to the Animal Care Center At Cherry Way for almost 13 years. My dog has been seen by all three Veterinarian's at this center, Dr. Halliday, Dr. Fu, and Dr. Douglas and I felt all three were excellent. They are very compassionate and very good with animals. They are very patient and will spend what ever amount of time is necessary with you to answer any questions you might have. In an emergency they will work your pet in. If you have your pets treated at this office and you have a question for one of the Vet's, they will personally call you back, they do just relay information through their support staff. Everyone that I came in contact with was very friendly and professional. You could tell that everyone that worked their sincerely loves animals. Dr. Halliday performed surgery on my dog for bladder stone surgery and is an excellent surgeon. I always had a lot of confidence in the abilities of all three Vet's at this Care Center. I always had my dog groomed at this location and was very happy with the way my dog was groomed and the prices were fair compared to other places. My dog recently passed away and Dr. Halliday was so compassionate during this very difficult time. The staff and Dr. Halliday signed a sympathy card with very kind comments personal comments a about how special my dog was, it meant the world to me. I plan to get another puppy in the near future and I definitely will be having her cared for at the Animal Care Center At Cherry Way.

Nekic Ken DVM
We have an aging miniature Yorkshire Terrier who was suffering from a systemic infection and severe dehydration. After visiting TWO other vet clinics in the Westerville area, she was showing very little improvement, and we were quickly running out of patience and resources to afford required daily trips (with a frail animal in frigid temperatures) for office sessions for IV fluids, just to keep her alive. THEN, we found Dr. Nekic. He arrived at our home late in the day after we contacted him, and though it had obviously been a long day with many other appointments, he stayed with us for hours to stabilize our furbaby, and make her comfortable, all while educating us about her further needs to assure a full recovery. It was a pancreatic issue, and treatment included THE CORRECT combination of hydration, antibiotics and a careful probiotic treatment of her digestive system. I credit Dr. Nekic for saving our sweet little creature's life, and I can’t recommend his service enough. :-)

VCA Sawmill Animal Hospital
With a diagnosis of FIP there's not much that you really can do, but still yet, with extreme compassion and the willingness to try and work out any possible options with regards to how comfortable you are in making a decision one way or another. They, through soft voices, still offered us ways to try to prolong our Baby Jewel's life even if it meant only for a few more days. I believe they could see the confliction we had growing in us and gently offered the last choice anyone wants to hear when you take your loved one to the Vet. Since seeing her in agony was not how we would have wanted to let her go, much less at a mere 6mos old...through tears and true confusion, we laid our Baby Jewel to rest. The group of loving & caring proffessionals overseeing our kittens care definitely made us feel like that day was more than just an office visit. It was more than a business transaction. That day they made us feel that it was most certainly more about LIFE.

Whitehall Animal Hospital Inc
The staff at this Animal Hospital is friendly and caring. Dr. Anne is a true animal lover and has a compansionate heart. She is a caring vet and will work in helping you get the best care for your animals. She will tell you like it is. If there are options she lets you know. I have 2 dogs and I drive about 25 miles to this vet because they are truly a caring team of animal lovers. I have used this place not only for the yearly checkups but for ilness and emergencies. Everytime they have the same consistant care. Just compasion and heart warming care for my animals. They office is clean and professional but not unfriendly. They have it balanced just right. The only time I have ever waited past my appointment time is when they squeeze me in for an appointment during their regularly busy day. Thanks Dr, Anne and staff for taking good care of Daphney and Cruise!

Driving Park Animal Hospital
Have been taking my 1 year old boxer and beagle fur babies here since they were puppies. If you want high quality veterinary medicine without unnecessary frills, this is the place for you. Our first visit we realized how much we were overpaying for Petsmart vet services... there is no point. Dr. Rose and staff are friendly and always make time for us without long waiting. They have a pharmacy you can order from online, and medicines usually arrive within 2 days. The groomer is super friendly and patient with my very barky hound dog who doesn't like grooming-- not to mention he is always dirty because he enjoys dirt. The building is older and could probably use a remodel, but honestly I could care less because I'm charged fairly, it's clean, and only the services matter to me.

Dogs Only Medical Center
We have been taking our beloved Golden Retriever Rex to Dogs Only for several years and hold Dr. Prescott and her staff in the highest regard. The care that the Dogs Only team provides is nothing short of superior and we value the personalized experience we receive each and every visit. From major surgery to routine physical exams, I am confident that our pooch receives the best care from the best people and for that we are truly grateful. While I can't attest to the experiences of others, I without hesitation recommend Dogs Only as they possess the right people, knowledge, and expertise to provide unsurpassed care.A special thank you to Dr. Prescott, Sarah, Lori-Ann, and Kathy for all your dedication in what you do. This passion and drive is why the Dogs Only team is the best.

Morse Rd Veterinary Clinic
I'm ashamed to say initially (about 15 years ago or so) I had some doubts about the Doc's and staff at Morse Rd. Veterninary clinic. In both cases, I later found they were 100% correct in their medical assessments of my animals and the best course for treatment. During this process I also learned Morse Rd. Veterinary Clinic Docs and staff are highly respected by their peers as well. From that point and throughout the close to 100+ visits since then, I've come to trust them implicitly and I'm truly grateful for the high level of care they provide all my animals (and me). Needless to say, I recommend Doctor Verhage, Dr. McClure and the rest of the staff with absolutely no reservations. There's no one I'd trust more!

Animal Care Center At Cherry Way
I have been taking my Pug and French Bull dog, here since I moved to Columbus 8 mos ago. It is wonderful. The staff is caring, greet my dogs by name. It is clean and the dogs get lots of play and rest too. They have obstacle courses both inside and out (weather permitting). It is under the operation of several veterinarians so I feel at ease when I leave 'the kids" My dogs DRAG me into the door. They LOVE it here. Lots of activities and not just wandering around in a circle all day like they did at another day care I took them too. If you love your dogs don't hesitate to take them here.

The DogSpaw
I took my two puggles in for baths, nail trims, and general cleaning. The head groomer and owner, Kerri, did a fantastic job! Their coats were so silky smooth from the great conditioner she used. This was my first time introducing my pups to the bathing / grooming experience and Kerri and John made it a stress-free experience for all of us! The prices at The DogSpaw are reasonable, they offer evening hours, and have a cute little retail area for pet toys, treats, and apparel. Finally there is a much needed pet grooming shop in this area!

My dog Doc has been attending Catch N Fetch for almost 6 years and absolutely loves being there. now. I have total peace of mind knowing how happy he is while in their care. I'm very excited watching the business grow and they have an amazing staff. They are getting ready to move to a new location off East Broad Street and Reynoldsburg New Albany Road which will now be 5 minutes away from where we currently live. If you're looking for a safe & wonderful place for your furry family member, make sure you check out Catch N Fetch!!!!
Tips & Advices
Bring medical records and medications that your pet is taking. Also, you should bring your ID and a form of payment.
Yes, there are veterinary clinics that only deal with emergency cases. They generally take walk-ins and referrals from family vets.
Yes, emergency vets treat dental emergencies and dental trauma. Freshly fractured teeth are the main category of dental injury that vets consider an emergency.
To prevent health emergencies, experts recommend supervising one’s pets, and trying to make sure they don’t get into emergency situations. A majority of emergency vet visits happen because animals were struck by cars, bit by other animals, or ingested toxins. Otherwise, the best way to prevent emergencies is by having a go-to vet you can call with any questions, and being vigilant about potential symptoms (i.e. runny stool, or trouble walking) as they appear but before they become extremely serious.
Experts say that the conditions that necessitate an emergency veterinarian visit include collapse, seizures, inability to walk, partial paralysis, and any difficulty breathing (non-stop panting, constant coughing, hyperventilation, or elevated heart rate). Gum color is often an indicator that something is wrong--especially blue gums or very pale gums. Excessive vomiting or a distended abdomen should be considered an emergency situation. Signs of any trauma or excessive bleeding should send your pet straight to the vet. Lastly, for cat owners, urinary obstruction is fatal if not treated, and generally occurs in male cats.
