2.The Little Gym of Polaris
8645 Sancus Blvd
The Little Gym by far is the best program for children. Not only do the instructors improve skills they also compliment the children on every skill they perform which is a great confidence booster. Best of all the shows they put on at the end of the semester not only show how your child has grown physically but also emotionally. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Unless you want to pay an exhorbitant amt of money, you won't find a better place. Buildings are kept clean, lots of different kinds of equipment...including ellipticals, treadmills, fitness balls, rollers, wt machines. VERY professional trainers...not just people that are "fit"..people that know what they are doing, and know the human body.
935 King Ave
I highly recommend Sweatbox- the trainers are experts in helping us get in shape! The place is inviting - ask for Dustin!
15.Metro Fitness Central

This gym feels like a second home to me, I spend as much time there anyway. I like the fact that I can have a variety in my workouts with all the equipment. The staff seems to really know what their talking about and they know me by name. Yes, I would recommend this gym to anyone looking to get healthy.
16.Premier At Sawmill Athletic Club
3111 Hayden Rd
I had a wonderful pedicure and manicure, waxing and facial done here. Very professional NEW staff and fun to be around. I purchased Dermalogica, a product I had never used before, and love it. Ashley, my esthetician, explained the product and what all the benefits were and provided me with the knowledge I needed to get started on a great skincare regimine. Lisa, the new manager, has made alot of positive changes and brought in a very knowlegeable, professional staff. It is very relaxing and inviting and I love it. Best of all the pricing is very reasonable for the atmosphere.
5929 E Main St
I came to Aussie Fit after a bad experience at another fitness club. The Group Fitness offerings are extensive, and I can always find something fun to work out with--like Zumba, Yoga, Dance, or combinations of all of them. There is a lot to offer for people in my age group, too! I'm older, so the Silver Sneakers classes are top notch! Be sure to check them out!
18.Wyandotte Athletic Club
5198 Riding Club Ln
Wyandotte was recommended to me by a friend who had recently left another fitness club. It is close, cozy, and there is never a wait. The hot tub is wonderful, the choice of indoor and outdoor pools is great. There is never too much clorine in the water. All the people who run it are very welcoming and relaxed. It's a great place to hang out, and share yoga with!
3614 Soldano Blvd
I just started yesterday and I like it. It cheap it $10 a month. I pay $6.00 for me and $6.00 for my aunt.
20.Next Level Fitness and Training
720 Cross Pointe Rd
I am really happy at this gym. It's not as fancy as the others but it's very comfortable and everyone is really nice. The personal trainers are the greatest. Thanks Next Level!!
2100 Polaris Pkwy
Friendly staff, nice pool, much aerobic equipment, good selection of weights. crowded on weekend mornings. The place is clean, and equipment repaired when broken [big clue if not repaired that the place is closing]!! good place for the average person .
22.Victory Fitness Ctr
3981 E Broad St
trainers are awesome spend my entire session with them and they work at my pace!!
23.Victory Fitness Center
50 Graceland Blvd
A no nonsense gym. All the Trainers are certified and very friendly. It may not have all the fancy gadgets, but since January the club has added new cardio, rowers, steppers and always seem to be upgrading. Classes are great!! I am happy with the service and staff of this gym.
151 Graceland Blvd
Hey, I know gyms have not always had the best practices when it comes to memberships... I used to work in one, not just work out! Past experience has taught me to be cautious and, if presented with ""small type"" contracts, I read them. Thoroughly. They must have made the type small for a reason, right? Plus, there is not a salesman yet who can rush me to sign until I'm good and ready. So, I know about the $15 ""facility upgrade"" fee. That's dumb, but obviously, they're moving fees around to make it look cheaper each month. OK, moving on. And, I know the hoops to jump through to end membership. I've seen worse. I guess my point is, exercise the usual care when signing up. No biggie. If this is the first time you realized you could be held up at the point of a pen, then, lesson learned. Grow up. Get on with it. SO, given the price, I'm more than happy with the Urban Active on Graceland. Few clubs I've used have been as clean, believe it or not. It's a kick that it's nice inside, not the mundane inside of a YMCA. Parking has not been a problem (men are easier to please in this regard, I've noticed). The awesome part is getting in there EARLY, like 6:00 am! I love it. Sometimes the ""usual"" crowd is a little heavy, but I always get on the equipment I want. Amazing what a little patience and a smile and greeting can do. I've never been big on classes -- prefer to work out my li'l old routine, circuit then aerobic, maybe a swim once in a while to break it up. So, when they try to sell me classes, I just smile and say, ""no, thanks"". Works every time. And, when temptation comes in the form of special offers, I always cast a jaundiced eye and decline, just as I do everywhere. Better to miss an occasional ""deal"" than get roped into something all tangled up. Simple consumer caution. Frankly, I'm puzzled by all the whining I see online. Live and learn. Oh, and I LOVE MOVIES! So the Cardio Cinema is GREAT! I may not always agree with the movie selection, but, hey, I take the same chances on my home sofa. At least I'm not being a total veg. As my abs emerge from the former blubber of my belly, I'm glad I can hit the Urban Active on my commute.
25.Metro Fitness Corporate Office
1215 Worthington Woods Blvd
nice gym but could be much better people at the front desk isn't very helpful unless they know you especially the young blond meathead working evenings needs overhaul of equipment and space
26.Lifestyle Family Fitness
7690 New Market Center Way
I was comparison shopping and when phoning LSF I got the usual series of questions from person #1 who passed me on to person # 2 who had the same questions, and then kept trying to sell me on the features but kept dodging the question of cost. Finally I nailed them down to $25 per month, with extras available up to $60 per month. Hey - when you are the cheapest in town admit it. You can always up-sell when it is time to fill out the paperwork.
27.Northland Preparatory And Fitness Academy
5100 Karl Rd
the "teachers" are very ignorant and the staff is unprofessional.
28.Ohio Krav Maga & Fitness
1000 Morrison Rd Ste A
This place is dangerous. While the concept of krav maga may be great, I recommend looking elsewhere for this class. The class was overly crowded, and they give no instruction to keep you safe during class and run exercises so quickly, with people paired up with others of very different sizes and abilities. In my intro class, I was paired randomly with a young man, much stronger than me. We were put in a high-pressure situation where I (a middle-aged woman) had to act like I was coming up behind him to choke him. He threw me down - hard. I warned him not to do this so hard. He did again, and threw me down so my spine landed on his foot. I immediately had to stop working out. None of the instructors even seemed to notice or care. At the end of the class, a few minutes later, I reported my injury and requested ice. I was given a ziplock bag with a couple ice cubes and was directed to the front counter to learn about buying a membership. I have now learned I have disc protrusions and a bone cyst in my spine The company's response? I signed a waiver; contact their attorney. I used to work out with a personal trainer and did p90x2 several times per week. Now, I can't even walk in the grocery store, can't hold my grand kid, and have missed work. Nothing like a life-altering injury in a class that was supposed to teach me how to protect myself. I highly recommend avoiding this place.
