excellent food, excellent service!!!...i had the crabcake dinner- they were the best crabcakes i have ever eaten...and they didn't even need tarter sauce...my side dish was the au gratin potatoes- pretty tasty and something different from the common baked potato, which i can easily make at home...each dinner came with salad or soup, as an appetizer...i choose the salad...it was a nice size, for a pre-meal salad...my honey choose the southwest bean soup for his appetizer item...i didn't taste it, but he seemed pleased...his main dish was the chicken parmigiana, which was very yummy, and broccoli...the glasses were small, but the waiter was happy to bring us our own pitcher of iced tea, so we didn't have to keep asking for refills...and the complimentary bread with herb butter was also super good (and limit-less, which is great for those that love bread : )...we choose not to have dessert, as we were both good and full from our meals, but i would have choosen the chocolate cake, had we given into our sweet-tooth cravings...the server was friendly and happily took our picture when i asked him to do so...i would recommend this restaurant and we will be going back again, when we are ready for another nice dinner out...

I have not had much on the menu, but the romano crusted chicken is more than enough reason to go back. It's one of those things where I'd like to try other stuff on the menu, but it's just so good that I find myself ordering it every time. I'm only giving this 4 stars because I've been in larger parties where several people were disappointed with their food (one of these occasions was an Easter brunch so I know that's kind of a crazy day where things are bound to go wrong) so I dunno. In any case, I'll keep going back and keep ordering the romano crusted chicken until it lets me down. So far, so good! Also, I think it's worth noting that the staff has always been helpful anytime there was an issue, and they have always been nice in my experience. A little niceness goes a long way!
My husband and I came in from Indiana to visit our son who goes to The Ohio State University(Go Buckeyes!) last weekend and we wanted to have a hot breakfast before touring Campus with our son and found this little Diner not to far from his apartment off Weber Road. I wasn't too sure what to expect, not knowing the area, but what a pleasure, the food and service was GREAT and even got to talk to the "new" owner , who made the experience even better, she apologized for our slight wait , but I understood , they were very busy and a new cook, but as I explained it gave my husband and I a chance to "tie" our son down and see how the past 6 months away from home has been..lol..Service was wonderful, we will definitely add Louie's DayBreak Diner to our Favorites...Tom and Barb Walker..
My only gripe with this place is that they have delicious, self-serve coffee outside for the people patiently waiting for a table, but you can't add it to your tab if you partake. I never carry cash so I had to run to an ATM just to make sure I didn't end up on Santa's naughty list this year. Other than that, it's heaven. The food is excellent, and the portions are more than generous. This is hearty, southern-style comfort food right in the heart of Ohio! Can't wait to hit it up again, but I will be sure to have a couple bills in my pocket before I get there :)
