Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
My story is a long one so I will sum it up in a nutshell: I called them for an emergency situation that developed after a different plumbing company overlooked it which led to a very costly mess. Robert the Plumber came out, along with several contractors, within a matter of hours and he stayed to work on the leak until 11:45pm, returning the next day to complete the job. Everyone I dealt with at RR was very nice and professional. My calls were answered and questions answered. The estimate given was right on track. I know people have said RR is expensive but Robert made some recommendations that actually saved us some money. I will not hesitate to use RR again in the future or to recommend them to others. Especially when it's an emergency. EDIT ADDED: They were NEVER prompt after that first visit and we did not use them for the renovations that were needed after the initial leak. The guy was always at least 90 minutes late from when he said he would be at our house every single time, if not by several hours. Also, we were repeatedly told that they would handle the insurance company but they didn't. I put in the claim myself after it became apparent they were not going to do so OR would be submitting their work AFTER it was completed. The renovation work they wanted to do was extensive and going to be costly: they were talking about gutting out the entire top half of my kitchen, ripping out cabinets and the ceiling as well as the bathroom above where the initial leak was from. The insurance company sent a guy over and showed us the ceiling only needed to be patched at the two leak sites and repainted and the damage in the bathroom didn't warrant an entirely new bathroom. If we had gone ahead with their recommendations, insurance would NOT have paid for it and we would have been stuck with a $15,000 bill from them and their contractors for sure. So, for plumbing problems, sure they are great but if it's more than that, I would not use them. The outside contractors they use totally wanted to get as much out of this job as they could. So, for overall plumbing problems I give them 5 stars but for the rest of it, the renovation stuff, I give them a 1 because it was so far over what was really needed.

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
I had a sump pump go out and my basement was covered in water. I called Roto-Rooter to see if they had anyone that could come out ASAP. They said they did and someone was at my house about 3 hours later to replace the pump. My main issue with them is pricing. The job took less than an hour and they charged nearly $600. That was ~$220 for the pump (which could be purchased for $130 on Amazon) and $339 or so for the labor. So not only did they charge way more than market on the pump but their hourly rate was outrageous. I understand that it was an emergency situation and they responded quickly (which I appreciated), but I come now to realize they charge nearly double the going rate for this service. I don't mind a premium for emergency services but I felt that the pricing took advantage of a customer in a tough spot. As a result I canceled my water mitigation I had scheduled with them (which they quoted between $3800 and $4800) since I didn't feel like I could trust what they were charging me. I probably will look elsewhere if I have another emergency plumbing issue.

Nails On Neil
I have been to many salons over the years, and experienced varying degrees of satisfaction/disatisfaction with nail & pedicure services. I am new to the area and was anxious to find a salon to go to for gel nails.its not in my budget or worth my time to have to do things twice. i had the BEST experience at Nails on Neil. when I walked in, it was clean, fresh-smelling& the doors were open which helped with ventilation. Everyone looked friendly without being fake. I waited only 5 minutes for a nail tech, Tiffany, then proceeded to have a short soak in lemon water, then had the quickest, yet best French gel manicure I've ever had. the hand massage with lotion made me want to hug her; I was SO pleased with the job she did! i pay attention to business reviews, so I hope that mine gets noticed and it helps someone make a decision. I am DEFINITELY going to make this "my nail place." :)

Plush Nail Salon
I went to Plush Nail Salon to try to find a place that does a great job with nail dip powder. They perform Nexgen nail dip powder services, and I was able to get in the same day with Jay. He did a fabulous job on my nails! Everyone is so friendly there, and from what I saw... they were all doing a great job on clients nails, no matter what service they requested. It's a bit of a drive for me, but honestly, I think it's worth it, and will definitely make this my new 1st choice for my nails. If you want a little stronger nail that gel polish... you might want to consider trying a Nexgen dip. It's stronger than gel, thinner than acrylic and I don't think it chips or cracks like acrylic used to. Thanks Jay.... I look forward to seeing you in a couple weeks!

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
The plumber wanted extra $ from us and intentionally caused a leak and fixed in 1 min charging over $200. He was fixing a work in the garage and asked us to turn the water on and off in the basement (THERE WAS NO LEAK IN THE BASEMENT WHILE WE WERE DOING THIS) After his work was done in the garage, he walked downstairs to where we were turning water on and off, while we were at the garage examining his work. He called us to the basement and all of a sudden there was a leak! he said he will give us a discount if we paid him cash without having it billed to the company. but it will cost $200 if he bills to the company for the LEAK HE CLEARLY CAUSED! This is very horrible and unprofessional and not acceptable.

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
After not getting called back or being able to speak with anyone who was more than a receptionist at 6 other local shops; Roto-Rootsr was able to discuss our issue and schedule an appointment that same afternoon. The diagnosis was quick and Rob had everything working quickly. Cost was about 1/3 of what we had expected from other quotes over the phone. Also took the time to show us how to address similar issues in the future and left some of the materials/tools we would need to do so on our own. Our technician, Rob, deserves his own recommendation. Polite, friendly, informative and efficient. He was a great ambassador for the company. Would absolutely recommend Roto-Rooter.

Light Spa USA
I was skeptical at first about how effective blue light therapy would be on my psoriasis. It started with spots on the skin of red inflammation, followed by flaky dry skin on those areas. It had spread across my calves and put random dime-sized areas on my arms, back, and thighs. After a few weeks of daily 12-min treatments, it was obvious the blue light was making a difference. In a few months the worst areas on my legs showed an 80-90% improvement. The smaller areas completely disappeared. No hi-priced medicines that compromise your immune system are necessary. I don't have to cover up my body anymore. Blue light therapy restored my hope in defeating psoriasis.

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
Service is pricey but I wanted to get job done right the first time. Another big company which I paid for a membership with wasn't ever available when I needed for plumbing services. Roto-Rooter's folks were prompt and professional, friendly even! All the options and their estimated prices were presented and likelihood of issue being resolved per option was also well explained. I went with the most cost effective option which I didn't feel pressured on one way or another. Financing was available which is awesome and was also quick and easy. The job was stated and ended in a reasonable amount of time.

Tracy nails at Tan Spot
Im a new tanner there and the one and only gentleman I've delt with has been super wonderful. Went tonight to tan, sign in door says open till 9pm not 8:45pm. The very old looking/trying to look young woman said in a very rude maner "WE CLOSE AT 8:45 I was there at 8:40. I said it would be nice if someone told me that in the beginning, but let me see, I was there last night at the same time and had no problem. Go figure. Sounds like to me, she wasn't busy so she decided on get own to go ahead and close early. But it's your choice to go there or not!

Light Spa USA
My acne has always been a problem for me. I have started taking medication for it and it has improved it a great amount. However, I still have the occassional breakout. With the blue light therapy, my skin clears up in a matter of days. I did 4 sessions of blue light over the course of 6 days and my skin is almost completely clear. I'm now doing redlight to help with discoloration and after each session I notcie how smooth and soft my skin is. Such a great facility! I would recommed Light Spa USA to anybody!
Tips & Advices
Before you hire a plumber, contact their past customers if you're able to. These people can be a wealth of information if you ask them the right questions. Pose the following queries to these former patrons when you get the chance:
  • Were you pleased with the work done?
  • Was the project completed on time?
  • Did the plumber give you a written warranty and guarantee his or her work?
  • Were there any unexpected costs that arose?
  • Would you hire this plumber again? If not, why?
A permit provides added assurance that the work is done correctly. Having this in place means an inspector will check the work your contractor or plumber does to ensure he or she did the job correctly. If you plan on putting your house or commercial building on the market, a real estate agent and prospective buyers will want to check any large work you did to make sure it was done properly.
A trustworthy plumber will have both commercial liability insurance as well as be bonded. The insurance and the bond protects the plumber from paying for any damages made to your house out of pocket. Having professionals that carry both of these policies can protect all of you from any mishaps that could occur while they work on your building.
  • Before calling a plumber, try to unclog your drains and toilets yourself by using a plunger.
  • Make sure you use a standard bell-shaped plunger for your sink and shower drains and a plunger with a flanged end for your toilets.
  • If neither type can loosen the pipe blockage, put a plumber's snake to use.
  • Ratchet the snake down the pipe to eliminate any clogs.
Usually, a leaky or dripping faucet is an easy fix that can be done by anyone who is even slightly handy with tools.. To fix it, first shut off the water under the sink then remove any decorative parts of the faucet and replace the washer and O-ring before reassembling everything.

Just a moment...
