Words can't describe how AMAZING this place is :) I like to drink and I've sure been to my share of bars but NONE like The Main Bar. The service was incredible and the food was second to none. Great prices...great drinks and great people. We can't wait to go back again!!!! We haven't stopping thinking about it or the amazing friends that we made there. Everyone needs to try this place...the only thing that will ruin your night is when it's time leave :) LOVE LOVE LOVE The Main Bar!!!!!!

BoMA is now The Bluestone. Same amazing venue structurally; much classier service, staff and events. They are no longer open on a daily basis as a bar and restaurant but now only specialize in public and private events. Events range from high profile national recording artist concerts and lavish weddings to smaller, intimate coorporate events and rehersal dinners. It is a beautiful facility with top quality AV systems, catering and bar services. Highly recommended!!

This is the best! It's like eating in my own kitchen. The food is great and the staff is wonderful. I have breakfast there every Sunday. There can be a line to get in but it's worth the wait.

16.Frog Bear & Wild Boar
343 N Front St
Frog Bear is awesome...great live entertainment (DJ and live bands), good drinks and amazing staff. Probably the most attractive bar staff I have ever seen! I have only been there a few times so far since I just moved to Ohio, but I'll be returning frequently, especially since they have an awesome patio.
17.The Park Street Tavern
501 Park St
If you're tired of drunken frat boys and sorority girls, $30k ""millionaires"" or other posers, then this is the place for you. Great music, including top jazz, a warm and inviting atmosphere and lots of great people. Nice mix of ages...the drinks are top notch; great selection of beers and the service is impeccable. If you're in the neighborhood, this is the place you'll probably end up after you've had your fill of the other bars. Save yourself a headache and just go here first.

Great dive bar located between German Village and the Brewery District. Don't go there if you want something high end, but the drinks are cheap, above average bar food, and there is ping pong, pool and some times live music to keep you entertained.

This is truly a first class operation all the way!!! The staff is extremely helpful and willing to walk you through the exciting and innovative menu. The seafood is excellent!!! Expertly prepared, and not your run of the mill preparations, this is by far the best fish and seafood available in Columbus, or in Ohio for that matter!!! I made my reservation online through their website (cool), and R.J. Snappers is now my favorite dining spot in the Short North, and in Columbus!!! Parking was a bit challenging, as is true for any restaurant in the Short North, especially during the Gallery Hop, but it is located right in the middle of everything, so it is a perfect spot to dine when going to the Gallery Hop!!! We will be back very soon and very often!!
2417 N High St
Probably the best bar in Columbus. What has happened musically there is really something you won't find anywhere else. I like going there looking for blues. It is easy to find some really talented bluesmen there. Everything from classis Chicago Blues, to some Buddy Guy, and even a little Stevie Ray...I've heard it all there over the months. Now of course the jazz thing is going down and I challenge you to find even one other bnar ot club in Columbus that has ""Beat"" music. As much as I love it, I find myself laughing from time to time as I remember Maynard G. Crebbs...from the old Dobie Gillis show. The part was played by Bob Denver who went on to play Gilligan. Very cool.

Great atmosphere, BEST non-digital jukebox in town. The bar tenders greet you as you walk in the door (that is if the place isnt totally packed and they're quadrouple tasking!) Cold beer, good food, and if the box is pumping out tunes, good music accompany you, as well as 4or 5 well placed plasma screen tvs with sports ESPN most likely. I'm 35 and have been going to ""Church"" which is what my buddy and I call O'rielly's since I was 21or so. I've never had a bad experience. Try the place out.

For those who love a laid-back place to relax and enjoy a good time, this is definitely it. I recently moved to Columbus, and this place has quickly become my favorite! They have pool, darts, tables, good food and dance area too. I like that I didn't feel out-of-place in my jeans the first time I went, but I also went there ""dressed-up"" the other day and that was fine too. I thought their drink prices were extremely cheap and loved the laid-back atmosphere. The staff are attractive and friendly and they even threw some darts with us! I will continue to go back.

This is my 1st time ever writing such a review, but I felt I must respond to hottasapistol, below.\r I've been to 'The Ear' many times--B4 & after the ownership chng., B4 & after the show in question, & even on that particular show. True, it wasn't the best I've seen there, but the experience was an isolated one. There haven't been any similar problems since. I, too, spoke w/ the owner, who seemed quite perplexed; he insisted he'd paid his bill on time, & didn't know what the problem was. He made no mention of a curfew because there isn't one (& BTW the club is in Columbus, where there also is no curfew). As to why the band played only 1 set, well, maybe that was all that was in the contract. Perhaps the subject should be taken up w/ them.\r Hottasapistol is right about 1 thing: the club isn't the same under the new owner. It's better. The crowds have been bigger (they've often had to lock up for sold out shows--too bad the place isn't a little bigger!), the staff seems to be having fun & are awfully nice, the beer selection is kept up to par, & the GM, Bill (he'a crack-up!), tells me sales have been up since the change. I understand the new owner, (Dan, I think?--he seems 2 B a nice guy), has never owned a business B4, let alone a bar, so he's probably got a lot to learn. But if he hadn't bought the place, where would Columbus be in the way of having a quality intimate music nightclub, now that The Blues Station & Little Brother's are gone?\r The Thirsty Ear is hardly dead. They just celebrated their 10th anniversary last month w/ a sold out show by Tab Benoit. I can think of no reason to stay away from The Ear, which I once heard described as ""Columbus' Bitter End Cafe"" (& BTW, their pizza is FANTASTIC!).

Betty's is an ideal spot for someone who isn't 21 and has had enough of the bass beats of most bars. The food was everything that the word ""comfort"" means and the drinks where never allowed to be empty. Great customer service and cute, interesting atmosphere. I can't wait to check out the ladies other locations, Surly Girl and TipTop.

my father passed away & I had tons of out of town guests, my brother (the beer snob) was happy, his sons 3 & 7 were happy. My other brother & his wife, their 2 kids & partners, my 3 cousins, their spouses & kids were happy. I was thrilled, I brought this entire group as well as smaller parties several times that week & every time everyone was happy. I've had numerous meals here & it's always been a great experience, I can't thank you enough.

I grew up in a bowling family and have been bowling in leagues since I was 13. I've probably bowled in 30-40 bowling centers including some of the Don Carter Centers in Florida, and I can honestly say nothing compares to the Palace. It's the only bowling center I've ever been to where you don't have to sit next to strangers at a scoring table. The lanes are great and well maintained, the place is clean and friendly despite its size. The Sports bar is incredible - the pizza is excellent, and I absolutely love the Music Bowling sound system. The whole place is just a class act and totally awesome! I wish more bowling centers were like this!

Love the music. The dj whomever he or she is has great taste in music, I've heard pop, jazz, standards, a bit of country and dance music. I like the music cross faded it gives a feeling of a non stop mix. The drinks are excellent as are the yummy jello shots. The beer selection although small sticks to the essentials and every selection is available as a pitcher. The food is passable, popcorn and frozen pizza, sorry fellas but I'd rather order out. Kudos to the Tuesday movie night!!
