Custom Complete Automotive
I will definitely take my car here from now on. They have new management and staff. They were very eager and went out of their way to help me run down a problem I had with my car's brakes for over a year. After getting new pads and adjustments the noise was still there. I brought it back 2 more times.... they worked on it and finally got it fixed, after two other places I took it to couldn't even figure out what was wrong and wanted to charge me "diagnostic fees" to figure it out.. On the second and third return trip the Custom Automotive they didn't charge me a dime for the work they did. And they worked on it for at least half an hour to an hour both times to try to figure out what it was. I would highly recommend them. I used to take my car to there location by the Mall. But I'll be going to the Business Loop location from now on

Going to give a HUGE shout-out to Dave Cunningham and his mechanics at the Business Loop location for their service. Dave's business philosophy is centered around transparency and honesty and his mechanics follow the same philosophy. They will physically bring you into the shop under the lift and show you what needs to be done to your car if something needs to be repaired. They won't just hand you a piece of paper with an estimate of what supposedly needs to be done. As someone who isn't that knowledgeable about vehicles, I appreciate the fact that I won't be screwed so that a location can "make their numbers" by being sold parts and services that aren't needed. Looking for an honest shop? Go see Dave Cunningham and his merry band of mechanics at the Business Loop location. Highly recommended!

Accumotors
I LOVE my new car!!! Jaime, the sales manager, worked patiently with me answering all of my questions and addressing each concern professionally and genuinely. At times when needed, he did the research necessary to satisfy me. Accumotors offers a nice selection of vehicles at super fabulous prices. Everything I looked at was prior salvage, but repaired to like new condition. I viewed all of the repair information concerning my car, and was even allowed to meet and converse with a primary repairman, Scott. Both Jaime and Scott were great to work with and gave me absolute confidence in my purchase. I would truly recommend Accumotors to anyone looking for a fantastic vehicle at a bargain price!

Ashland Auto Sales
I strongly recommend that you visit this dealership or their website to see what they have. I have bought a couple of cars from Ashland Auto Sales and I keep coming back. It is a small dealership, but they treat people right. they are fair and honest, and they disclose any potential problems. And they go to great length to please customers. One positive thing is they have a staff of inspector and mechanics on site to help with vehicle needs or issues. Check them out. Even on online. I forgot one thing--their prices are the best.

A J's Automotive Air Conditioning
I have used AJ's multiple times for different vehicles. All were AC related repairs. The work has always been done in a timely manner and has been explained and documented well. This last time I was given a quote and when I went to pay it was less than what they originally quoted.. They said it didn't take as long to flush the system and they used less refrigerant than they thought they were going to. They come across as very honest, which is rare in this industry. I would highly recommend them.

Ashland Auto Sales
I came all the way from Kansas City to buy a Jeep Liberty from Ashland Auto Sales and it has been a very strong vehicle. These guys have good mechanics and garages on the lot to make sure all the cars are serviced and repaired before they are sold. Also, the people were very honest and truthful with me. Try them out.

Schilby's Tires & Wheels
Great service from Schilby's this morning. Wife's Explorer had a sheetrock screw in the LR tire. They could have just put a plug in it but it was close to the sidewall. They took the tire off to make sure the sidewall was not damaged. Luckily it wasn't so they installed the plug. Explorer is on the road safe.

Schilby's Tires & Wheels
I had another visit at Schilby's today and I just wanted to jump on your page again and tell you how much I appreciate your customer service and how very thankful I am to have found a place in town that takes such pride in their work. Thank you!!!
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
