Calibrating Air Heating & Cooling, Inc.
Bart did a great job of evaluating our needs and presenting his recommendations. He also gave prompt answers to our follow up questions that made sense, and he was the only contractor we contacted who explained about choosing a furnace that took our altitude into account (at 6,000 feet, that's important). The installation crew was professional and thoughtful. It took three days to replace the furnace and ducts and install the air conditioner, humidifier and air cleaner. They did almost all the work in the crawl space and only had to come into the house to install the thermostat and humidistat.

Calibrating Air Heating & Cooling, Inc.
I have been using Calibrating Air, Bart Ferguson for over 12 years. I initially met him when he had the heating and air conditioning maintenance contract on our facility. He did great work and impressed me with always being courteous, on-time and without any do-overs and re-repairs. Since that time I have had him and Brandon both work on my heating system in our home and now having moved we have had him service the furnace in our new home. I would recommend Calibrating Air to everyone, both commercial and residential. These guys do a great job the first time and do it right.

Black Forest Heating & Cooling
Although I'm quite a way from the Black Forest (75 miles one way), I called Black Forest Heating & Cooling to repair my geothermal system. They came right out, were very professional, on time and very knowledgeable with geothermal systems. If you have a geothermal system or are looking into having one installed by all means call Black Forest Heating & Cooling. They know geothermal and they know it very, very well. And yes, prior to calling them I'd tried other geothermal companies closer to me but Black Forest Heating & Cooling is far superior in every way.

Arrow Plumbing & Heating
I had to use a plumber for the first time in 20 years and was surprised how honest Jeff was. I thought I had a busted pipe because water came gushing down from the ceiling in my garage. I was worried about a huge bill but instead Jeff told me I had a clogged drain and he had the problem fixed in no time. I will recommend them to all my friends and who ever is in need of a plumber. He could have easily cut the ceiling to check what the problem is and collect big time but he stayed honest and did not try to get over on me.

Charles D Jones Co
They have every thing a contractor in Hvac would need. Knowledgeable counter people. Whenever my company personnel go in CD JONES has the parts at reasonable prices with a good warranty which allows me to service my customers faster so I can move on to the next job. They also provide good training on the products they sell which improves my bottom and gives me a happy customer.

Aj's AC Heating and Refrigeration
AJ was awesome. He showed up promptly and diagnosed my refrigerator to have a freon leak. AJ fixed my refrigerator at 7:30 at night on a Friday night and I thought I would have to buy a new one. He was very polite and professional. I recommend AJ he is the best!! He also fixed my Mom's fridge two years ago.

Aj's AC Heating and Refrigeration
This post is by AJ. I don't know how to remove the two bad reviews. Read the verbiage. They are obviously written by a competitor. I hope to get your business. I always give the price before repairs, and always clean up after myself. I also give a year warranty. None of the bad reviews make sense.

Herman's Plumbing & Heating Service, Inc
Tech did not know codes for hot water heater istallation, and would not read installation instruction that were provided. Did not pass inspection and had to come back at our cost. At their stated rate they overcharged us. Use another company,

Tips & Advices
You can keep your air conditioner running efficiently with some preventative care measures. Shut off the power to your AC before cleaning it or performing any of these tasks:  clean your filter at least twice a year; remove leaves and twigs from cages; clean the fins with a garden hose or special spray, then use a butter knife to straighten any that are crooked; keep your yard clean so the fins won't get blocked; cover the unit up for winter; and make sure it's level or you run the risk of damaging the inner workings of the unit.
To clean your air conditioner drain, first shut off the power to your unit at both the thermostat and the breaker. Then remove the drain pan. If the pan is full of water, soak up the liquid with a few towels or rags or use a wet vacuum. You can use a solution of water and distilled vinegar, or substitute peroxide for the vinegar, to clean out the drain pipe. Let the pipe sit for a while in the solution and then put all the parts back in place. Once you start using your air conditioner on a regular basis, check it periodically to ensure condensation isn't building up.
If you happen to live in a hot and humid area of the country, drainage problems can occur with your unit since moisture can trap itself inside the system. Routine maintenance can cut down on drainage issues by cleaning out any mold or algae from blocking the drain. If you notice moldy smells whenever you turn the thermostat down, check on your system.
If you notice your system is acting inconsistently, the sensor is most likely out of place. Turn off the unit and reach behind its control panel while carefully bending the sensor back into place near the evaporative coil.
Find out where the noises are coming from. A banging or clanking sound could be due to a loose part. If you hear a hissing sound, it's most likely because of a refrigerant leak and you should contact an HVAC technician as soon as possible.
