O'Keeffe, John, MD - Cordera Family Medicine
Dr John O'Keefe is an incredible Doctor. Dr. John has been my chosen primary care physician for several years now, and has always provided the absolute best care. Dr. John provides a safe, understanding, sympathetic, private practice. He always accompanies his diagnosis with standard western treatment suggestions in addition to whole body recommendations. He is the first Doctor I have ever had that concentrated on wellness of the mind, body, and soul. I also believe he offers an educated opinion, written fact, best advice, an intent ear for listening, and the very best treatment I have ever received. I would highly recommend this doctor as the best in Colorado Springs. Dr. O'Keefe is someone you should consider visiting and forming a life-long relationship with. I appreciate this incredible doctor so much, I thanked him in my recent book; "Teardrops That Tango!"

North Springs Family Medicine & Urgent Care
I have been with Dr Rubick for several years at both locations. I drive farther when I need an accurate diagnosis. This past week, many doctors and one at Penrose ER could not determine why my health rapidly declined after a vaccination. He not only diagnosed it, but explained it to me, gave me meds not just to put my symptoms at ease, but to eliminate possible issues and end the suffering. I am so happy and on the road to normality once again. I trust him with my life's decisions. He recognizes my stubborn streak and understands my needs, with compassion and direction. He is the best doctor I have ever seen, and believe me, I have decades of experiences with doctors in preventative health.

Rhonda K. Bowen, DDS, LLC
Dentists make me nervous and put me in a bad mood. Try as I may, I cannot get Dr. Bowen and her staff to perform down to my expectations - they are marvelous! They always make me feel that my comfort is their number one concern. They could not be nicer! As good as my old dentist was (Dr. Armstrong), I believe Dr. Bowen is more skilled as a dentist. Combined with their absolute kindness, I could not be in better hands. I am now so spoiled by Dr. Bowen that I cannot imagine any other dentist ever touching my teeth. Great job! If you are looking for a dentist, give her a try - you'll be a fan too!

North Springs Family Medicine & Urgent Care
I have already told multiple friends about North Springs Family Clinic. I have been seen there at least 10 times in the past year and have been impressed with the care I have received. From the front desk to the doctors they are all professional, knowledgeable and treat you with compassion and kindness. A couple of times I have experienced long wait times when coming in as a walk-in patient, but that usually is not the case. North Springs Family Medicine is now my primary doctor office and I will continue to refer my friends and neighbors to them.

Dr. John Ogrodnick is a very good doctor, who genially cares about your health. When I was going through a workman's compensation issue and the doctor I had was not good, my OWCP nurse recommended Dr. Ogrodnick and he saw me right away. I have been with him since 2004, and he has been outstanding when it came to my care and listening to me. I would highly recommend him. He is knowledgeable, professional, helpful and caring and will go the extra mile to make sure you get the best care available for your condition.

Delta Waves
I had another positive experience at my recurring appointment for sleep apnea today. Everyone at the Delta Waves office was helpful and professional beyond my expectations. The new physician was extremely helpful and informative. I was especially impressed with the help I received from Norma Jean, one of the respiratory therapists. Thank you all for the wonderful experience.

I saw Dr. Mesa for a routine exam. She was a great listener, gave clear options and gave clear and professional advice. The office support staff was polite and accommodating. All the paperwork was clearly explained and the appointment started on time. Would recommend.

Adams, Laurence J, MD
Dr. Adams is very knowledgable when it comes to neurology. He's very personable to and he doesn't rush you out of the office. He's been my doctor and my daughter's doctor for twenty years. We first met him when he was stationed at the Air Force Academy.

Skin MD Dermatology and Skin Enhancement Center
I love the professional/friendly attitude of the staff. And Dr P is an expert at injections of botox and fillers. She also shared info about taking care of the treatments which I had never heard before. I feel I can trust the care I receive at Skin md
Tips & Advices
A child should see his or her pediatrician frequently during the first few years. Once the child reaches age 3, parents should schedule a doctor's visit at least once per year. Before that, however, the American Academy of Pediatrics suggests parents arrange visits according to the following schedule:
  • 2 to 5 days old
  • 1 month old
  • 4 months old
  • 6 months old
  • 9 months old
  • 12 months old
  • 15 months old
  • 24 months old (2 years)
  • 30 months old (2.5 years)
No, parents should call 911, an emergency physician, or a pediatric emergency physician if a child suffers an acute illness or injuries. Doctors in these fields are more qualified than pediatricians to handle emergency situations.
A well-visit is a routine visit with a pediatrician to track a child's development, discuss medical or emotional concerns, and receive immunizations and medical advice.
Yes, pediatricians provide immunizations for infants and children up through 21 years.
No, pediatricians do not have to be board certified. They're only required to have a state license. However, certification indicates a dedication to studying pediatrics beyond the requirements.
