Aesthetic Dentistry by Design - Dr Kenneth O Gasper II
Our family has been going to Dr. Gasper since 2001. I'm a pediatric nurse and would describe myself as not easily impressed with quality of care and customer service. I am so impressed with Dr. Gasper and his staff that I asked if I could write a recommendation for them! His extensive knowledge and passion for dentistry & orthodontics alone is more than impressive, but what my daughter said to me one night is what will make us lifelong customers and friends. When our daughter was 6 years old, she started complaining of terrible tooth pain one evening. I looked in her mouth and saw a large abscess next to one of her molars. Having had a couple abscesses before, I knew how very painful this was. Before I could say anything, she looked up at me as tears rolled down her cheeks and said "Mommy, please don't pray for my tooth to get better because I really want to see Dr. Gasper tomorrow.". Wow. We have 4 children, and 3 of them have been to Dr. Gasper for both dentistry and orthodontics. Our oldest had severe TMJ and daily headaches, and just a few weeks into treatment, the headaches are gone. Our second child had severe crowding of her teeth and an under developed upper lip (her profile showed no upper lip, it was completely flat). Dr. Gasper is an expert in facial bone growth and not only gave her a beautiful smile, but she now has a beautiful full upper lip. Our third daughter has had a chronic stuffy nose for years, and just last month Dr. Gasper diagnosed her with enlarged adnoids and referred us to an ENT. He removed her adnoids and she is breathing freely for the first time in years! I also love the fact that he not only fills their cavities (and uses mercury-free fillings), but he also does all their orthodontics as well. If you have children, he is the BEST dentistry & orthodontics has to offer.

Dr Ryan Gardner is very considerate, caring and a great professional! Thank you Dr. G, for the great experience and quality work you have done on my teeth. He fully explains all the pros and cons of the treatment, so that I can make an independent judgment. He never leaves you in discomfort. His staff is also extremely helpful. Dr. Gardner has a great rapport with his assistants and hygienists. They work very well together. I was amazed at the superior care and true "human-ness" that he put into all aspects of my visit. He never "talked down" to me - neither did he apply pressure if I am not ready for the procedure. He took ample time to make me comfortable with the anesthesia and spent considerable time to do my restorations beautifully. My family and I have been very pleased with your professional, yet personable, service. The North Powers Modern Dentistry is more than a generic dental office; it's like a big family! Thank you Dr Gardner! Sincerely, a lifetime patient!

From the moment I told Dr. Waite my problems, I believe he was very honest with me. I have always been afraid of the dentists office, and the first time he drilled on my teeth for a bridge, I was petrified. I'm sure I must have made him a wreck because I held on to the chair for 3 hours, but by the time I visited for my permanent bridge I had complete confidence that I would be able to trust him and I don't believe I was even nervous. He told me he would call that night when I got the bridge to see if all was okay, and he kept his word and by the time the shots wore off my mouth felt great. Dr. Waite is an honest dentist and I would recommend him now to anyone. I am glad to have found this office and Mitch and the rest of his staff. Marla is always smiling when we go in too. I am looking forward to my cleanings also.

This place is awesome! I highly recommend it. Everyone is so friendly! They don't try to push you into something you don't need just to make money---after my appointment the other day, I am definitely switching dentists!!!! Dec 2016-Saw Dr. Ferguson--he is wonderful! I had to do an "uncovering" for my implant so I was scared to death it was going to hurt--him and his assistants were so nice-I didn't even feel the shots--so I immediately calmed down. Had no problems after--love this place. I also go for laser cleanings with Mel--she's very caring and is patient with my multiple questions---this is a welcomed change from my last dental office.

I have been going here for over a year now, and every time I come to Aspen Ridge Dental, I am greeted by Marla, who is very friendly and nice. Then I usually have no wait which is good because I am always busy with work. I had my wisdom teeth taken out here and had no issues, as well as come here for cleanings and cavities! What a great, friendly, and amazing dental place. Highly recommend to everyone!

My kids LOVE this dentist. I have 3 young men who look forward to their appointments and cleanings. The staff is pleasant and the dentist explains everything to my kids before he does anything. He's taken the time to explain what is going on and why he recommends the treatment plans in plain terms to someone who doesn't understand dentistry can understand. My only regret...he doesn't see adults.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Waite's for several years, and have been very happy with the care we have received. We feel like we're in good hands, and that Dr. Waite will identify any potential issues long before they become serious problems and then give us a variety of treatment options. All of the dental assistants and office staff are always very professional and courteous as well.

Dr. Bevans is great. He is kind, compassionate and truly devoted to making his patients happy and working with them. I used to avoid the dentist but Dr. Bevans and his staff have changed that. I can go with confidence knowing that I have a voice and will be treated with a gentle hand. I highly recommend Dr. Bevans, especially if you are nervous about dentists. I found my dentist for life.

My family, children and adults, have used PDG for five years. Over this time we've had numerous cleanings, a few fillings, and a few crowns. We've always been treated with the upmost professionalism; on time service, competent care, and reasonable cost. Unlike some other dentists we've used PDG has not tried to sell us some procedures that were not necessary--so I add ethical to my list.

Tafolla & Rikli Family Dentistry
I have been going to Dr. Rikli and Tafolla for almost 20 years. They are thorough, friendly, good at explaining things and have simply the BEST staff. My husband sees Dr. Rikli and I see Dr. Tafolla. Their fees are reasonable and they have a plan for those of us with no dental insurance. Went in today for a procedure and am very happy with them - would recommend them to my friends!
Tips & Advices
  • Pick Your Plan: Most people purchase three main varieties, usually through their employers.
    • An indemnity or fee-for-service plan means you'll have to pay for annual deductibles and co-insurance payments out of pocket.
    • A preferred provider organization is less costly, and you choose from a network of dentists. However, PPOs have some limitations and accompanying deductibles.
    • A dental health maintenance organization plan limits you to just a few choices of dentists, and one doctor handles all of your oral care needs. However, these HMO are usually much less costly.
  • PPO plans and dental HMOs work with only a select number of doctors. While that usually means fewer costs, it also means you have less choice in the dentist who can treat you Before purchasing the plan, you'll receive a list of dentists in each network. From there, you can then pick a plan with doctors who meet your standards and requirements.
  • When picking a plan, you need to look at just how much you'll pay for each and every service. For instance, some plans won't cover your fillings or X-rays, while others may charge more or less for a crown or tooth extraction. You don't want to be caught off-guard by unforeseen charges.
  • If you're truly comfortable with a dentist and you feel he or she can be an ally in your ongoing oral care regimen, then consider signing a plan to just keep that dentist available. That means potentially deal with costs and other insurance-related factors that you might have wanted to. If need be, you might be able to work with the dentist's office to address some of the plan-specific concerns.
  • Ask family, friends or colleagues for recommendations. They will be able to provide details about a dentist's demeanor, operating style and approach to patient care
  • Meet with any prospective dentists to ask about what treatments they perform most often, procedures they're not as familiar with, what accreditation they have or any organizations they belong to and how their offices handles insurance and payments.
  • Consider driving distance, location and office hours.
  • Check With Your State Board: The state board can outline what requirements your dentist must meet and offer information about any discrepancies in the their background and if he or she has faced any disciplinary actions.
  • Remember Your Angles - When brushing your teeth, always place the brush at a 45-degree angle..
  • Don't Forget the Tongue – Your tongue is the largest source of bacteria. Brush it front to back and don't forget the sides.
  • Floss Everyday - Each time you floss, have at least 18 inches of floss available. For optimal control, hold the floss between your thumbs and forefingers.
  • Watch What You Eat - Sugar, alcohol and coffee contain phosphorus. While some can prove beneficial, too much of this chemical can eat away at your teeth and gums.
  • Keep in Mind the Mouthwash - Mouthwash can be helpful if used to supplement proper brushing and flossing. Most mouthwash brands contain chlorine dioxide, a chemical that targets the majority of oral bacterial strains.
Yellow teeth are the result of a number of bad habits, mainly smoking, drinking too much coffee and improper nutrition. Many dentists will treat with a whitening procedure.
These painful bumps are the result of irritation to the soft tissue of your mouth. These sores can make brushing almost impossible. There are a number of different causes for sores, including anemia or a vitamin B-12 deficiency. Your doctor will have to examine the bump, find its cause and then develop a specific treatment plan, including the use of corticosteroids to reduce inflammation or antimicrobial mouthwash.
