First lets talk about their deceptive review scheme. The majority of the positive reviews on Facebook are from current, former or family members of employees including the owners. These reviews happen to get posted shortly after a negative one goes up. This falsely inflates their star rating, giving people an untrue implied value of their service.12 of these reviews are disingenuous at best, deceitful at worst. Now on to why I started this review. I am wheelchair bound. I rely on delivery services to assist when my family cannot. On May 6th I wanted to order a special dinner for myself and my girlfriend. I placed an order through grub hub this evening @ 6:15pm, their confirmation e-mail told me to expect my food @ 7:45pm. I received a second email from Go-Waiter. It told me my order was submitted @ 7:04pm and my food would arrive no later than 8:14pm. At 8:14 I called all 3 On The Border locations, they had received no such order. I then called GrubHub, the company I had placed my order with.

This is one of the best Chinese Restaurant I've ever eatten at. I would recommend this to all my friends
5166 N Academy Blvd
A small "hole-in-the-wall" Chinese restaurant tucked away between Target and Chuck-E-Cheese that can be easily overlooked. The lights are usually dimmed and from the street it looks closed at first appearance, but don't let that fool you. Overseas 101 have some the best Chinese food in Colorado Springs. The food is extremely reasonably priced with lunch specials being around $7 and dinner around $9 with all entrees served with a choice of rice (fried or steamed), soup (egg drop, hot & sour or wonton soup) and an egg roll and cheese wonton too. Many other Chinese restaurants in the area will charge extra for what is given at Overseas 101. The restaurant is family owned and operated by a sweet older couple. The lady is as sweet as can be...she reminds me of my grandma calling everyone, "Honey or Sweetie" smiling while telling you to, "Have a nice day and come back soon!" The restaurant is quite small and poorly lit most of the time, but the atmosphere is quite and welcoming.
12.New Panda Two
1625 N Union Blvd
This place is just fantastic. I've been going there for years now. The portions of food are huge for the prices you pay. Unless we're just getting sushi, we always leave with leftovers to take home. Their sauces are all made from scratch, and they taste wonderful. My favorites to get there (besides the sushi) are sesame chicken and green curry chicken.\r The last time we went there, there was a new sushi guy who was very polite, speaks very good english, and makes the sushi into very big portions which taste amazing. Try the rainbow roll, rockies roll, or k.a. roll (my 3 favorites).\r The service is better than it used to be, too. Before they only had one waitress/waiter, but the past few times we've been there they've had two.\r It's a great environment, but it's not fancy enough to be a 'romantic' place. But it's definitely worth it!
13.King's Chef Diner
110 E Costilla St
This is a great little independently-owned diner. It has limited indoor seating but there are outside tables, too. They have great and unusual breakfasts (e.g., The Grump), good burgers and the best french fries in town. Give it a try!
14.Silver Pond Chinese Restaurant
5670 N Academy Blvd
When we found Silver Pond about 4 1/2 years ago, what a relief it was to find a good Chinese restaurant in Colorado Springs (not the East or West Coast - but passable). We have frequented the restaurant on a regular basis, but our experience this evening was the pits. The waiter brought our food, but no plates. We finally had to get up and ask for plates to be brought to the table (this is after he had apologized for bringing the food, but having too much to handle to bring plates - and then proceeded to deliver cocktails to another table, etc.). This is after we had to get place settings from another table since ours only had two and we were four. The owner made the obligatory rounds to ask how things were, but then assumed her place at the bar and was texting (maybe she should have been helping the waiter). The food has also changed and not for the better. It is really sad as we have made this a regular place for our family to dine, but it will be a very long time before we return to Silver Pond.

For the better part of 10 years I've recommended this place to my hotel guests. I've never had anyone complain. The food is very good, fast service and generous portions. I order from them myself as well. If you live in the north end, do yourself a favor and try them.

The first time I had their Mango Chicken, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. It was BRILLIANT! And I've hoped, for a couple years, for it to be that good again. The food is often decent, but sometimes ... it's only decent. I hadn't ordered from them in a while because they are so inconsistent but thought I would try again tonight. I do always get delivery, and so tonight was no different. The fried dumplings were rubbery and nearly flavorless, although the sauce was quite tasty ... which is good as that was what I was mostly tasting. The lo mein was nicely cooked although, again, strangely flavorless ... after adding both soy sauce (which I very rarely do) and tabasco, it was pretty good. And the ginger chicken, another sometimes amazingly good dish, is ... without ginger, I think. I'm sure it's in there, but there are times when the ginger just bursts with flavor and with the chicken and vegetables is really, one of those dishes you crave. Tonight, like most night, and why I hadn't ordered for so long, just ... bland. I am giving up on them, totally. If any of you find a wonderful mango chicken somewhere, please let me know. Thanks.
24 E Kiowa St
We went to Hunan Springs Christmas Day. I ordered the sesame chicken and it was great. It looked beautiful with fruit garnishes and it tasted fresh and delicious. The service was very good too. The restaurant could use a slight remodeling, but I found it very comfortable. We will be back.
3912 E San Miguel St
Our entire office eats here at least once a week and we have for years. We love the service, the food is great and like the fact that Jennifer remembers our preferences. For fun I'll ask her to surprise me with a mystery meal, always great fun and great food.

26.Coal Mine Dragon
1779 S 8th St Ste B
Worst Chinese food ever, food safety practices are horrible -- found dirty male human fingernail mixed-up into dinner. Staff was rude and confrontational about it when I contacted them. Save your health and eat somewhere else.
27.Dragon Gate Chinese Restaurant

Best chinese food in town....hands down. We travel 40 miles to eat here.
28.Coal Mine Dragon Restaurant
1720 W Uintah St
We have been regulars at Coal Mine for many years. Best place to take someone for lunch or dinner! Combinations are extremely affordable. The portions are HUGE! The Egg Foo Young (only available as a combo during lunch* but full portion as entree for dinner) is OUT OF THIS WORLD! Excellent Sesame Chicken, Mooshu, Orange Beef, BEST WONTON SOUP we have ever had! The staff is always super friendly, pleasant and accommodating. I do not recommend the General Taos Chicken for take out as it gets soggy quickly, but as an in-house-entree it is fabulous!! The dumplings are amazing! Fried or Stramed you will not be dissapointed! Lunch Combos are SO affordable and include complimentary hot-tea and fortune cookies. Seriously good Chinese. Best bang for your buck experience! They shove MUSAK playing most of the time, but sometimes to get a treat of oriental symphonies to accompany your meal. :) Craving Chinese? Head to Coal Mine Dragon.
29.Moon Star 2 Chinese Restaurant
5873 Palmer Park Blvd
Colorado Springs Food Guy visited Moon Star II Moon Star 2 Chinese Restaurant located at 5873 Palmer Park Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80915. This is a casual but quaint restaurant decorated with modern Chinese flair. Moon Star II serves most of their dishes family style with huge portions to be shared. They also have single-serve dishes. I sampled the Orange Chicken and the Dieter’s Chicken dishes and they were but delicious. The Orange Chicken is definitely the best I have had in Colorado Springs. The Dieter’s Chicken was a delightful mix of chicken and fresh vegetables steamed to perfection. They put the sauce on the side to reduce the salt and calories. I love this restaurant and highly recommend it. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you are in the mood for some great Chinese food at a reasonable price, then visit Moon Star II.
