UCHealth - Integrity Urgent Care - North
DECEPTIVE! RIPOFF! UCHealth failed to advise us that the crutches and brace their employees handed us were actually being provided by Medcomm. While UCHealth is in our insurance network, Medcomm is out of network. As a result, I am being billed $250 for crutches and a brace I could have purchased at Walgreens for about $60. UCHealth refuses to return my calls or take responsibility for not advising us they weren't the ones provided the medical equipment and our insurance company is refusing to pay for the equipment. I will never use UCHealth facilities again!

The doctor (Sharma) was nice, but he spent well under 5 minutes with me to write a prescription, so you can imagine my surprise at getting a bill for $140! That's like $1500-$2000 per hour! I wrote a letter explaining why I thought it was unreasonable, expecting that a reputable company would explain things or offer some kind of compromise, but instead they merely sent another bill with a finance charge. I again wrote a letter, explaining things, and even called the bookkeeper, said I should submit an email on-line and the owners would see it, so I did that. Still no response. And the latest is they've given it to a bill collector who has tacked on another ~$40 on top of the outrageous bill. From my experience, they care only about the money, service is secondary. If you call them, nobody answers. You have to leave a message. The first time, the bookkeeper (who was nice) called me back, and she suggested sending an email on-line (as I said before). But after that, I tried calling back several times when I received another bill, leaving a message every time, and nobody called me back to discuss anything or even to let me know they weren't interested in negotiating and that they would refer the debt to a bill collector. I even sent them a check for a partial payment as a compromise offer, but after I got a notice from the bill collector, they returned my check with a form that said something like it was an "unacceptable form of payment." Apparently, they only wanted their money no matter what. Good customer service is not in their repertoire. It would appear that the bookkeeper was instructed by the owners to not return my call.

CBP-Brain Center
This office made me feel very comfy. I was impressed with how friendly the staff was from front desk to the docs and therapists. The quality and results of the treatments can't get any better. If you have a brain injury, that's the place to go.

Took care of my three year old right away when we went in for a high fever. Doctor was quick to see her and they even gave her a stuffed animal to take home. Girls up front were very friendly and kind and helped give me directions over the phone when my GPS wasn't working. It would have been nice if they were able to fax over her prescription for me rather than giving it to me to take in but overall I give them 4 stars.

Excellent experience. Clean new facility and awesome staff who looked happy to be working there. Dr Schaffer was unbelievable. I wish she could be my PCP.

Kissing Camels Surgery Center
In reflection of the chaos, accusatory attitude of the front desk staff exhibited last Monday, 1/18/16 and the comical attitude of the surgery business administrator Kissing Camels Surgery Center will not be a future location for our needs. There is enough stress in facing any kind of surgery, let alone to be treated as we were treated is unprofessional on many fronts.

Tips & Advices
This depends on the center. Some may allow brief visits by family members. Patients should ask about visiting rules before inviting people to stop by.
No. Patients should arrange for someone to drive them home and stay with them for 24 hours following the procedure.
This depends on the procedure. Most centers ask that patients arrive one to two  hours before the procedure begins. Following the procedure, the patient will stay at the center until fully recovered from being sedated. This may take between one and three  hours. After that, if the patient isn't experiencing abnormal pain, he or she may leave.
Different states have different rules regarding requirements for surgery centers. However, ASCs are required to be certified as a Medicare and/or Medicaid Ambulatory Surgery Center supplier before they enter into an agreement with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
The most common types of procedures conducted at surgery centers are:
  • Gastrointestinal
  • Ophthalmology
  • Orthopedics
  • Pain management
Some of the most common procedures include:
