Peak to Peak Transmission
I've dealt with several transmission shops in town over the past year for differential, transfer case and transmission solenoid repair and haven't been 100% satisfied. When my reverse went out in my '02 Explorer, Peak to Peak was extremely easy to talk to and I felt like they were shooting it to me straight. No matter what the repair news might be I want someone who will be honest with me and treat my car as if it was theirs, and not give me the run around. When I brought my car in, Charley (the owner) was there outside and went back to get someone to help me right away. Lyle was extremely kind and got me set up with a rental car to use during the duration of the repair. I had a few questions and he even took me back to the shop and explained the answer to my questions showing me a transmission that was already taken apart. (This is rare for other shops to do.) The repair took a few days longer than expected, but wasn't an issue given that I had a rental car to use! While they had my transmission apart they also noticed a leak from my transfer case, an issue I took into another past shop THREE times only for them to tell me it was fixed or not an issue at all. Peak to Peak graciously helped cover that repair for me.So far it's been several days since my overhauled transmission and so far so good. Let's hope the future is just as good as their service! :) Thanks Peak to Peak.Josh2002 Ford Explorer2year / 24,000 mile Warrantee

ABC Used Auto Parts
I visited ABC for the first time today. All I can say is that the service that I received was first class. I found an instrument cluster on a parts locator. I called ABC to verify that it was in stock. Monty said that he would check and call me back. About 1/2 hour later, he called and said it was in, but it was damaged so he would discount it below what was shown. I asked if he would hold it for me, and he said that he would. Many, if not most, pick 'n pull shops are first come, first serve, and have flat out refused to hold anything for me.So I drove down and they got the cluster for me. They let me go test it, which again is not SOP for many yards. The other guy behind the desk told me the price, which was the discounted price Monty had given me on the phone. No games, no "this is the locator price", no BS, just a transaction that I feel went well beyond what I could reasonably expect. ABC went beyond what I have experienced to date, and I will happily buy from them in the future.

Peak to Peak Transmission
These guys are the best. Charlie and Lyle were extremely helpful when I called with the problem I was having with my vehicle. I brought it in for a diagnostic and it confirmed the problems I had been having. They quoted me a price to repair my vehicle and had it finished on the exact day they said they would. I had another vehicle to use while my Buick was in the shop so I was not in a rush to get mine back, but they take pride in completing the work as efficiently as possible and finished mine in only 2 days. The called about a week after to make sure I was satisfied and at all times were very polite. I would recommend them to anyone who needs to have a transmission replaced!

Phil Long Dealerships
I wrecked my wife's car so I had to replace it for. We were driving an upscale Mazda but I decided it just wasn't as comfortable as I would really like. We took a morning off work to drive a couple cars and went into Phil Long Lincoln. We meet Terry and then Michael and they had just got in a slightly used MKX. We drove it and it was perfect for us. My finances weren't just right for the deal so they held the car for me till I could get it. Then they worked the deal so I could take before my money was available. Very relaxed atmosphere. I'm looking forward to doing business with them in the future.

I took my wife to look at the new MKZ. We were impressed with the no pressure atmosphere there and Robert Strange was very kind and helpful to us. Just so happened they had the exact car I was looking for but in the last year model (14'). They worked hard and bent over backward to accommodate me and the offer I placed on the car. I am a happy new owner of an MKZ and am very satisfied with the professional, yet laid back service Robert Strange and Jeff provided me. I would HIGHLY recommend visiting Phil Long Lincoln for your next test drive! I do not have a single complaint about this place.

My wife & I went in to Lincoln to look @ the new MKC. We talked to the GM ( Richard Thompson ) and really liked how we were treated, no pressure! We were told when your ready to buy come on back :-) We were so impressed with the entire staff & of course the MKC we bought " 2 ". We had some warranty work done and the Service Manager (Aaron Captain) took care of everything from the loaner MKZ I was put in to the final inspection of completed work done. We will be back & a Lincoln owner for a long time :-)

Peak to Peak Transmission
Charlie and his crew are simply the best! After my original transmission repair on my 1997 Chyrsler sebring Convertible, they checked it out for me again on three occasions when I had questions. This last time, well out of the warranty period, I brought it to them for a suspected leak. Turned out to be a loose coolant hose. Not only did they tighten the hose, they refused my offer to pay or to just give them a $20 as a thank you. Great guys, great service. Don't go anywhere else, I won't.

Aspen Auto Clinic
Aspen Auto is the most amazing business! They truly seek to do what is best for you. I took my Lexus RX in last Friday due to the engine and VSC light going off. Joseph (the awesome mechanic!) cleaned the mass air flow censor for FREE and fixed the problem. Also, Juan and Brayden always make it a welcoming and pleasant experience to go in. I'm very thankful to have such a kind and honest place to trust my car and safety with. I give Aspen Auto on Union the highest of recommendation!

I took my MKX in to get a flat fixed and left with a MKC! I'd been looking at the MKC and the sales manager was great in helping me. Even when I changed cars at the last minute to get the features I wanted, they were great in changing all the paperwork. The finance manager did a great job in getting the loan set up through my credit union. This is my second Lincoln and 4th Ford product from the Phil Long Dealerships and I am very pleased with everything from sales to service.

Peak to Peak Transmission
Charlie and Lyle are wonderful people to do business with. They have rebuilt two transmissions for me over the past month and although I was unlucky in that regard I was very lucky to come across these folks. Their work is excellent and the transmissions in both vehicles are running smoothly again. Their pricing is very competitivie and it was a pleasure to do business with them. I highly recommend Peak to Peak Transmission to anyone having problems such as these.
Tips & Advices
Depending on the part and its overall quality, a good amount of money can be saved by purchasing aftermarket parts versus OEM parts. But aftermarket parts that are low in price might also be lower in quality and could do more harm than good to your car, or they may need to be replaced more frequently than a more expensive counterpart. This could lead to saving some money in the short term, but spending more than anticipated in the long term.
The type of tires being purchased is the most significant determinant of their price. SUV tires are more costly than average car tires. And high-performance tires are more costly than economy grade tires. On average, standard tires for an average-sized vehicle are around $100 per tire. Standard tires for an SUV are around $150 and pick-up truck tires are about $200 on average. Some dealers offer discounts if purchasing more than one tire.
Car inspections typically take about an hour. However the wait time can be longer depending on how busy the shop is. Call ahead for an appointment to avoid long wait times.
Depending on the manufacturer, certain aftermarket parts can be just as reliable as Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. But one item within a vehicle, like oil filters for instance, could have multiple manufacturers and there could be inconsistencies in quality among them.
Costs of replacing a windshield can vary greatly depending on a variety of factors:
  • Vehicle make and model
  • How much of the cost insurance will cover
  • Whether the windshield installers come to your location or you bring the vehicle to them
  • Standard service costs of the windshield installers
Generally, newer and higher-end vehicles cost more to have their windshields replaced because certain manufacturers use modified or proprietary glass types.
