Kaz's Main Street Garage
Brought my vehicle which initially appeared to be a transmission problem when failing to back out in reverse during a turn. The mechanics were honest enough to say that it was just a peculiar feature with the vehicle where the four wheel drive was engaged in 4 high which only allows reverse straight back only. The mechanic provided further information on recommended speed using the 4 wheel drive feature to extend the life of the transmission. What I expected was a major transmission repair was just the cost of the transmission inspection fee and a big relief. With this visit I have gained confidence to bring my vehicle for minor or major and have assurance of a legitimate repair.

Kaz's Main Street Garage
2001 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer with allot of miles on it....Repaired and replaced front and rear brakes, and emergency brake. Repaired leaking transmission cooling lines. Replaced entire front end steering assembly. Upper and lower control arms, ties rods, ball joints, etc. Excellent from start to finish. They are busy, so you may need to be patient on getting all work completed. It's worth the wait! Honest, accurate, reasonable quote, and professional service. I actually dropped off another vehicle for service when I picked up this one. If you have an older vehicle and want to keep it running, safe, and the road...Kaz is the place for you!

Kaz's Main Street Garage
Had a problem with my son's car. It would quit at times and sometimes would not crank. Took it to Kaz's for troubleshooting the problem and repairing the car. At first when I took the car to Kaz's it was thought to be the "anti-theft" system keeping the car from cranking. It was finally determined after checking several different things that the fuel pump had gone out. They quickly replaced the fuel pump with a new, high quality fuel pump with an extended warranty. The cost was high but I knew a fuel pump replacement would be involved and time consuming. Very happy with the service and would recommend Kaz's Auto Repair to others.

Kaz's Main Street Garage
I just experienced honest and integrity with this small auto repair shop and its team. Almost three weeks ago my water pump went out and we used Kaz's Garage to repair it; then two days ago my automobile began leaking again. I returned to Kaz's and they diagosed the new pump had a defect. The pump was removed and replaced with a new pump at No Charge and with every professional attitude that could be given by everyone. This Garage has complete integrity and we have already shared our story with others who need the services of honest mechanics and owners. Thank you so much guys! God bless! Janice and Bill Latimer

Christian Brothers Automotive
Love that Christian Brother's is in Collierville! We've taken two vehicles in to be serviced for various repairs. I've researched how much certain repairs should cost and CB is right on the money. They let you know if they see something that needs to be repaired which I feel is better than you driving out of the parking lot and then next week find out you need new shocks or brakes. Our son recently took his little SUV in for a tire fix and they treated him very well. In fact they treat new to young adult drivers with compassion, knowing that they don't have much money for car repairs!

Scott's Garage
Honest mechanic, quality workmanship, and great service! They were very upfront and honest about the work that had to be done, they checked in with me, and I felt like they really cared. Compared to other similar establishments in the area, they took the most time in evaluating my car, letting me know only the essential work that needed to be done, and they stuck by the quote they gave me at the beginning. I would highly recommend Scotts Garage to anyone, especially if you don't know about cars and want to go to a place where they are honest and won't take advantage.

Scott's Garage
Scott's Garage is the best place in town for any type of car repair, replacement of parts, or maintenance. Wayne, the owner, is very honest and gives you the best quote, he does a great job on the car, and I would highly recommend his garage to anyone who owns a car or truck, and needs any type of work done on it. To find his garage, just drive from the Collierville square, go down S.Center street, and his garage is the last building on the right side, corner of Hiway US-72 and S. Center street. His phone number is: 901-854-4600

Kaz's Main Street Garage
I was just driving out of town on a trip to New Mexico when I noticed the battery symbol pop up and the low voltage reading on my 2001 Audi. I was near Kaz's and stopped there for help. They diagnosed the problem, got the alternator, and had me back on the road in time to save my trip. Thanks so much, you guys are great.

Kaz's Main Street Garage
The outside is soo cute! It has older gas pumps and an open design. I checked out this place because I needed a tire repaired. They were so helpful and friendly. I love supporting local businesses and the guys here are great.
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
