Auto House Of Clovis
They are not true to their word. I can't even count how many times they would say they're call me and wouldn't. They also do not have accurate quotes. If he gives you a quote amount, count on it being 10 to 15% higher than the quote he has given you. Darrell said he would call me for update, such as for a quote, and he would say things such as I'll call you by this Friday, and give you an update, but I would never receive it. I was told my engine was to be pulled by March 16th, but it was not done by March 16th. I asked why they. Just made excuses and said they were so freaking busy. So I asked when would it be done, and they said by the 23rd. But it wasn't then again. They said they would call me on the weekend and give me an update. They never called me. Finally on March 28th, 2016, they finally did pull the engine. 11 days later than they promised it would be done. On April 22nd 2016 I tried to ask for a discount from Daryl because of the four months, at that time, that it was taking to get this engine done. He just totally ignored me and tried making comments about the thunder outside, that was roaring in the distance and also blaming the issues of this current engine on an engine that wasn't even in this Rover. I was told on April 16th that the engine would be done in two weeks as of May 26th 2016, it was not done. The issues we ran into seems to always be somebody else's fault or something else's fault never Darryl's fault or their company Auto House of Clovis' fault. Just out of the blue he stated that my vehicle is just a project and I quote "Your vehicle is a project. Especially since your tags are not up to date for two years. Because of that you're Rover is not priority. All the other cars that come in and out such as the only family car that takes grandma to the hospital or the school children to school, that car, when it breaks down, is priority. Or, such as the other day, our family van went out and that's definitely priority." One of the strange things are that on their website it says that they understand that your vehicle is important to you, and that we treat every vehicle with the highest standard of service possible, as if it was our own. If that were true, and he says that his van is priority, that means my vehicle would be done a long time ago. Because if they count theirs as priority and I'm supposed to be treated as their vehicles, that means mine should have been done a long time ago. Butt it took 10 mon. to get done. I had to report Auto House of Clovis to the B.A.R. or the Bureau of Automotive Repair, because of all the violations that they haf broken. We tried to work it out,but Auto House of Clovis, the owner of it , Daryl, did not want to back down and continued saying that it was not their fault or their problem. They were more interested in getting a bad name for themselves from the Bureau of Automotive Repair, than humbling themselves from their pride and admitting their wrong. The report was filed to their records and will always be on their records until their business closes. They are very knowledgeable, but I would hardly even trust them. with a bicycle because of their untrustworthy attitude know-it-all attitude and arrogance. So, as you may see, I would never recommend them!!! I will continue returning my Rover there for warranty work. But other than that I will not go there for any other needs so please boycott Auto House of Clovis.

Auto House Of Clovis
Since 1995, Darryl Lowitz and his team have serviced our personal and family vehicles, as well as, our company vehicles. I was referred to Auto House of Clovis by my former mechanic that just had NO CLUE as to how to fix a problem I was having at the time. BIG MISTAKE! Darryl and his team are the ONLY mechanics I will ever allow to work on my vehicles.Darryl and his team are educated and knowledgable in their field. They are trustworthy and efficient with your time, your repairs and ultimately the bottom line, the cost of your repair. The advice they offer is solid and in my opinion, without question and the most reliable.Whether you own an import or domestic vehicle, a beater or a high end vehicle, a run-about or a classic or high performance vehicle ... Darryl and his team knows them all.Darryl has a great personality and will tell you "just the facts" ... Sure, he may throw out a joke once in a while to make the 'bad news' not so bad ... but when it comes right down to it ... AutoHouse of Clovis is one automotive repair business that can be fully trusted and has their clients' best interest in mind all of the time. Thanks Darryl and thanks to your entire team of professional mechanics for your excellent service for well over 13 years.P.S. William is very pleasant on the phone and in person and Jamie, AutoHouse Office Manager/Partner & Darryl's wife, is the Hi-Tech Motor Oil that makes this organization run so efficiently. Not to mention she keeps all of them on their toes !!!Russ ParsleyOwnerPanda DJs & PandaCam ProductionsFresno, CA

Sawyers Vintage Service
I can not give Sawyers enough praise!!!! I needed a front end alignment on my 2001 GMC Yukon. After a lot of calling around I found Sawyers was the cheapest in town. When I got there the first thing I noticed was all the antiques, it gave the shop a true "old town" clovis feeling. After they got my car up on the rack they discovered a few worn out parts which made the alignment very difficult. They spent 2 hours on my car getting it as close as they possibly could, even tweaking it by hand just to compensate for the worn out parts in my front end. Most shops would have said "well the computer says its good, we cant do anything else until you fix the worn out parts" but not these guys, they stuck with it until I was satisified. Now $45 is extremely cheap for a front end alignment to begin with, but to take the time (and financial loss) to stick with it and get it done to my liking is extremely rare. With great customer service and the willingness to go wayyyyy above and beyond I hope they stay around for a while. There are not many shops with intregrity left and these guys are raising the bar for every auto shop in town!

Future Ford of Clovis
I have been looking for a dealer that I can trust and finslly found it! Bill and the crew at Future Ford of Clovis. Really took care of me and my family. Recently, I brought in my 2009 Explorer in for an oil change and a few other problems and they fixed everything, but only charged for the oil change. In the past I had always taken it to the local chain but realized they relly overcharge. My daughter took her Camry to a pep boys and they charged her $119. These guys are totally upfront and honest. They don't try to up sell you crap you don't need. Five stars, a must try.

Auto House Of Clovis
I was experiencing an intermittent check engine light. It was a difficult problem to diagnose and took some time to figure out. Although it took a while they were very fair on the price and truly do only what is necessary to fix the problem. I am very confident in this shop's ability and business practices. I will always take my car here for repairs.

#1 Mechanic in town! They are the most trustworthy and the best in town! I feel so grateful to know that I am taking my car to such a great place with great prices and customer service!
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.

Just a moment...
