I have been taking my pomchi to Dr. Syed for roughly 3 years and I couldn't be happier! I was nervous about finding a good vet in the area when I first got my pup (I was new to the area and it was my first dog), but after researching his reviews, my worries were put to rest. He is very professional, gentle with my girl, and so kind. His pricing is more than fair and he never tries to oversell you on anything! He truly cares about the animals he treats and I am so glad I made the decision to go to him in the first place. The front staff (Barb especially) is wonderful! Even when I call with questions, they are always quick to help and give advice. I now live 30 min away, but that drive is nothing compared to the care my girl receives. I will never go anywhere else as long as he's there. I can't sing his praises enough! Strongly Recommend!

I LOOOOVE this place. I have been taking my dog there for 16 years, and before that my cat...and never had a problem with him. He is very compassionate with animals and their owners. I have sent a bunch of my friends to him, to care for their animals...and they all love him. He is actually cheap in price...I never once felt ripped off. I've taken my cat to another clinic because they were closed, and I payed 200 dollars, just to get her checked up for a cold, and an antibiotic. I didn't even pay 200 dollars for my dogs surgery he needed, when I brought him to see Dr. Syed. I would recommend him to anybody!

Snider Veterinary Services PC
I travel from Livonia to continue care for my 3 dogs at Snider Veterinary Services. Dr Snider & Dr Hamilton are great and have a real concern for the animals. My one dog was diagnosed with diabetes and lost his eye sight, they have been awesome helping me get my dog insulin stabalized. They don't push things on you like some vets and they are reasonable price compared to many other vets. Not to mention my brother's sister inlaw used to be a vet tech there until she went back to school so I know it's sanitary and employeed with people who love animals.

I have been going to this office for appx. 18 years. I have recomended Dr. Syed to friends. Everyone in the office is friendly and compassionate and reassuring when you are worried about your pet. Dr. Syed saved one of my pets twice with surgery. He set a tiny broken leg bone on a six week old pomeranian puppy that I had. He has treated seizures, heart murmur, tumors and other ailments successfully on my pets. His office is small and not modern, but it is clean and well equipped and I trust him with my animals!

The Kitty Clinic
I love the Kitty Clinic! We have dealt with the clinic for many years. Recently our Emily had bladder stones. It was a few months after trying diets to dissolve the stones that we opted for surgery. Dr Ruiz was wonderful with explaining the choices we had. Throughout this terrible ordeal the staff and Dr Ruiz were wonderful. I love the small clinic compared to the larger ones. I feel that they really care about our pets and us owners. I would recommend this clinic.

I'm very picky about who I take my dogs to. Today was my first visit with my Chihuahua Lucky. This Dr. Is excellent with animals! You can tell he's in his position for his love of animals. He also is the most reasonable vet in not only my area, but the whole county! I will be taking the rest of my dogs here from now on. Thank you Dr. Syed

The Kitty Clinic
I have been bringing my 3 cats to their clinic since 2004. I love their service. They are friendly, sweet and do wonderful jobs to my cats. The price for our cats treatments are our choice. That;s helpful alot for us.
Tips & Advices
Most 24-hour clinics do not allow owners to stay with their pets overnight. However, many do have specific visiting hours or will let owners see their pets at any point during the day. In addition, owners can call most clinics at any time for an update on their pet's well being.
  • Important phone numbers, especially those of the the veterinary clinic, the animal hospital or emergency clinic, and the poison control center
  • A book detailing pet first-aid steps
  • Copy of medical records
  • Nylon leash
  • Muzzle (only use if pet is not vomiting and has no difficulty breathing)
  • Absorbent gauze
  • Nonlatex disposable gloves
  • Scissors
  • Tweezers
  • Nail clippers
  • Digital thermometer
  • Sterile saline solution
  • Hydrogen peroxide (to induce vomiting only at the recommendation of a veterinarian
  • Milk of magnesia (to absorb poison only at the recommendation of a veterinarian)
Find a 24-hour animal hospital that provides emergency services within your area. Keep the facility's contact information in a place that's easy to locate, such as the refrigerator, address book, or smartphone. Most veterinary clinics operate on standard business hours and are not equipped to handle emergencies.
Veterinary clinics operate on a smaller scale than animal hospitals. The latter are more likely open 24 hours and provide emergency services. The former generally operate on typical office hours and only perform wellness exams and minor surgeries. Veterinary clinics also do not generally perform laboratory tests on site.
The specifics vary depending on the type of visit. For a wellness exam, bring:
  • Medical records
  • The type or brand of food the pet eats
  • Medication (including flea, tick, and heartworm medication).
If the animal needs medical treatment, the following may be helpful depending on the situation:
  • Fresh stool sample
  • Vomit sample
  • Video of the pet engaging in abnormal behavior
  • Substance the pet may have ingested
