Play Academy
My daughter has attended Play Academy in Highland Heights for a couple of years now. The classrooms are nice and they have nice play areas for the children. There is an indoor play area that allows the children to run about even when the weather does not permit outdoor play, which is wonderful. It seems like the summer menu has improved. They would serve salsa and chips and call that a meal or a simple broth and call it soup - my daughter would be really hungry when she came home. It just wasn't a very child friendly menu. I also don't like that they close on the day before holidays. For example, I was extremely irritated that they closed on July 3 this year. I still had to work. I was put in a major bind because I didn't have any available sitter. They put a sign up with less than 2 weeks' notice, and by then, it was too late to request the day off. A child care facility should not close if it is not a holiday. I had to take an un-approved day off work. Same thing happened when they closed early for Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, and the day after Thanksgiving. If it is not an official holiday, parents are not always able to get a day off. That should be taken into consideration. I am truly considering moving her to another facility with less abrupt days off. Another thing that bothers me is that there is almost no one available to speak with about questions/concerns. There used to be the owner who sat at the front desk. She was always available (or at least someone was). Now, that they've opened the new facility, the front desk is almost always unattended, and they don't take the phone with them when they walk away. If there is an emergency, which I've had, you call and get their voice mail, which from my experience, is not checked regularly. It used to be such a nice place to have your child, but they are really slipping. What a shame.

Teri's In Home Daycare
First impression was great and of course after a few weeks things change. The first week was fine and i felt good about keeping my son there. Second week wasnt so good...i went to go pick up my son and i kept smelling this foul odor. So when i got home i checked my son thinking maybe he needed to change and when i pulled his pants off there was smashed dried poo in his pants and it was smeared all over the bottom of his diaper. I was pissed because theres no way she didnt see that. When i called her to talk about what i seen she said she didnt see anything and that he must of went again while she was putting his clothes back on (bullshit)...i let it go hoping it wouldnt happen again. After about a month i had to remove my son from her care because money was getting tight which led to me not giving her a proper 2wk notice. I apologized and explained my situation. I told her that i will pick up my son belongings the very next day. When i went to get his stuff it was sitting outside in garbage bags...i told her that was disrespectful. My son stuff couldve been stolen or damaged but she didnt care because she was upset about me leaving...she talks about how long she's been in business but her actions when she's mad is unprofessional. I personally wouldnt recommend her services.

Creative Early Learning Center Child Care & Preschool
Creative Early Learning Center is a family owned business that makes you feel like family. My daughter has been going there for 4 years (since she was 3) and I have been completely satisfied with their services. They also have a summer camp program that offers multiple field trips for the kids, as well as, before and after school care at a reasonable price. The hours are great, the facility is clean and the employees are awesome. I would recommend Creative Early Learning Centers to anyone looking for an excellent day care provider for their children. Play Academy
Highly recommended and extremely satisfied with the care and attention given to my daughter by the staff. I visited several other preschool and daycares; Play Academy was the absolute best choice by far. I especially love receiving pictures almost daily of what my daughter's class is doing and e-mails about the books and different topics the children are learning about for the week. Great job to the staff!

Noah's Ark Child Care Academy
The staff was a big sell for me. They are professional and really connect with the little ones. I love knowing that someone is caring for them during the hours I'm not with them.
