Chapmans Professional Lawn Maintenance In
Called for an estimate on lawn maintenance. The representative said they would call the next day with a schedule. 2 days passed, received no calls. I called the 3 day and left a message. Now 5 days later no call. If this is how they begin with you...

Arrow Environmental Services Inc
About 3 years ago they purchased the company that was doing our lawn pest and fertilization. Last fall I notice that the lawn was not looking healthy. I felt certain areas of the lawn need to be replaced. I was told that they could fix the problem using chemicals. Fast forward to now, 3/2016 -- a lawn that is so bad that the company's I called to find out what was wrong with the lawn since Arrow was not responding have told me that it will take around 2 years to get the lawn back into shape, if I don't plug the real bad areas. Arrow -- NONE responsive. NO customer service. NOT honoring their "sanctification guarantee" posted on their website. Employee turnover is very high as I has seen many different technicians in the last 3 years. On the positive side -- they did an excellent job on pest control inside the house.

Aimed On Perfection
Had Matt Grams give me a quote for full service lawn care at my house which was to include the lawn maintenance plus trimming of all my plants and application of round up thru all my beds and any weeds growing in unwanted areas, well all i got was a basic lawn cut, never was able to get any plants trimmed as every time they showed up it was one excuse after another to why they couldn't so it and i doubt they even sprayed any round up anywhere as most my beds where always over grown with weeds and such. In all my years I've never experienced such horrible service from a company, and have had some bad lawn services in the past but this one is by far the worst of the bunch

Worst treatment you could get from a company, they showed up to mow my lawn and ended up doing $500 damages to my irrigation system, and never paid to fix them, i ended up having to hire another company to not only mow my lawn but to also fix my irrigation system when it was 100% their fault!!Once the damage was done you could never get the owner or any management on the phone ever,

Aimed On Perfection
They show up twice a month in the summer and do terrible work. Don't waste your time with Matt Grams. He doesn't care about customer service, only collecting your money for a poor job.

Aimed On Perfection
Horrible, Hired them for weekly service, which is around 4 visits a month and once they got me under contract they proceeded to only cut my lawn when convenient to them, in an entire years service i only aw them fulfill what i wanted 1 time. When they did show up they always tried to do bare minimum and I had to constantly ask for my shrubs and palms to be trimmed even tho i had full service, not to mention he constantly had new guys and was always yelling at them while servicing my property. In my mind they are not a very professional company and i would not recommend them to anyone looking for a lawn or landscape company. Rating is a half star out of 5 star, i just couldn't select a half star .
Tips & Advices
Irrigation system advantages:
  • Lowers water bill and maintenance time with scheduled watering
  • Evenly distributes water
Irrigation system disadvantages:
  • Professionally installed systems cost between $3,000-$4,000 for a quarter-acre lot.
  • Some do-it-yourself systems cost up to $1,500 but are difficult to install.
  • You may need to call a professional electrician and plumber, adding $300-$600 to your project.
Some plants can stand up to the cold weather, like kale or pansies. These can be planted in the autumn or early winter. Other plants need to wait until the soil is warm and ready. Plant perennial flowers in mid-autumn or mid-spring. If you're planting from seed or sprout, you can generally find information about planting conditions on the package.
Why get artificial grass?
  • Cuts down on lawn maintenance
  • It's environmentally friendly since there’s no need to water.
  • Artificial grasses may be more attractive than real grass in drought-stricken areas.
Why stick to the real deal?
  • Artificial grass has a high upfront cost - $15 to $20 per square foot.
  • It can be difficult to install.
  • Inexpensive options might look unnatural.
  • It gets hot in the sun.
First, determine which pests you're dealing with. Mounds or tunnels indicate moles or voles. Apply castor oil to your lawn; they'll find another digging spot. Determine which bugs you have by pouring a bucket of soapy water onto the lawn. The bugs will surface so you can identify them. Milky spore and nematodes keep grubs and other bugs at bay. Insecticidal soap also works. The best way to prevent pests is with good yard maintenance. Certain bugs prefer overwatered lawns or yards with thatches. Regular mowing, watering, and dethatching discourage pests from moving in.
Fertilizer isn't always necessary, but it can keep your lawn looking lush and healthy. Use fertilizer with slow release nitrogen so it doesn't encourage weeds to grow. Keep in mind that overfertilizing can spur weed growth. However, under-fertilizing can result in weak grass, which gives weeds more space to take root.
