Mister Sparky Electric
This morning we were informed that a technician would be out here between 2:15 and 2:40 pm. The technician actually arrived a little early. :) We needed 2 fans installed as one stopped working and the other room needed a fan. We had a technician named Ryan who explained why the old one went bad and was able to assemble the fans quickly and they worked perfectly. The best part is when (for no additional charge) Ryan went above and beyond his job to then reprogram one of the fans (these weren't the kind with switch settings) as I realized another fan by the same manufacturer was also being controlled by the new fan remote. I have now dubbed him Super Ryan! Thanks Mister Sparky!!!

Pinellas County Electric
What a GREAT electrical company. I have been in the AC business for over 20 years now so I know when I am deal! I had a problem at my house with multiple circuits going in and out and my lights flickering. I had 2 other electricians come out for a fee to diagnose the problem, tighten up the wires and problem still existed. Finally called this company, they were extremely professional, found that the problem was not even my problem it was the power companies wires coming in. I told John the technician that came out what I had gone through, he called his boss and told me no charge. I just could not believe this! These guys knew what they were doing!

This is one of the best service companies I have ever encountered. They are professional, timely, expert, and fairly priced. The saved us from an extended power outage, and a protential fire. They restored our power, replaced the bad parts, did it in just a few hours AND in the rain ( even working on the roof in the rain)Great bunch of guys, almost made me want to adopt them...5 stars is NOT enough for this company I will never use anyone else for electtical issues. PERIOD!!!!

Extremely professional and prompt! They came out quickly and repaired a circuit switch. Then another time they were in the middle of a job and recommended another company for a quick response and still assists with the problem.

Tips & Advices
Keep the following tips in mind:
  • Do not operate any electrical equipment while sitting or standing in water.
  • Don't overload extension cords or surge protectors.
  • Put caps on your electrical outlets if you have small children.
  • Call an electrician if you notice your sockets or switches are warm to the touch, discolored or if they make noise.
  • Keep electrical cords away from stoves, ovens and other sources of heat.
  • Do not use an appliance that has a frayed cord.
  • Do not staple extension cords into place or cover them with carpets or furniture.
  • When using extension cords, make sure to unwrap them before plugging them in.
  • Don't overuse extension cords. Have an electrician install extra outlets if you need a power source closer to you.
  • Only use light bulbs with the correct wattage for your lamps and light fixtures.
  • Contact a licensed electrician if you frequently blow fuses, since this can be a sign of an electrical wiring problem.
  • Have an electrician look at your fuse box to ensure you have the right size fuses and circuit breakers. The wrong size fuse or breaker can be a fire hazard.
  • If you have fault circuit interrupters installed in your electrical panel, make sure you test them at least once a month by turning them on and off.
It can cost from $40-$100 an hour depending on the job. This does not include additional costs for parts or trip fees. Make sure to ask in advance what they charge for or if they will provide a free quote.
In order to become a full-fledged professional, a person must undergo an apprenticeship with master and journeyman electricians. An apprentice needs 8,000 hours of practical work before graduating to the journeyman level. If an apprentice reaches journeyman status, he or she can complete most electrical work, but cannot design it until completing more testing along with 2,000 more on-the-job hours.
Yes. While all electricians need a license, not all of them do the same types of jobs.
  • Outside: These types of electricians work outdoors on electrical lines that connect to power plants.
  • Inside: Inside experts typically focus on commercial and industrial buildings that require a lot of power.
  • Residential: Residential electricians work with low-voltage systems and wiring to install fuse boxes and light fixtures.
Watch out for contractors that greatly underbid other electricians. If the price seems too good to be true, it probably is. Also, always remember to get the estimate in writing before settling on a company.
