Bank of the West
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Horrible customer service. The teller cancelled our account and said there was nothing else we needed to pay. Later that month we got a notice saying we were charged an overdraft and late fee because an automatic charge went through even though our account was closed. We tried contacting customer service who never responded to us. We then went into the bank and told them what happened and said we would pay the amount that was charged even after our account was closed, but they said we still had to pay their overdraft and late fee despite the fact it was their fault. She then told us that we took money out from an ATM after our account was closed. How is that possible since she cut up our card right in front of us? Then she said our payment already went to collections even though the due date to handle this situation is over a week away! I know they don't give a crap about what I'm writing in this review, but I hope this a warning for anyone in the Napa/Lake County area...don't waste your time or money with incompetent, disrespectful and underqualified workers or places like BofW Clearlake. Our entire family switched from here to different banks and credit unions and couldn't be happier with our new service.

Westamerica Bank
I opened an account because its location was better and closer to where I live, plus they were open half day on Saturdays. With my work schedule it is hard to get to a bank unless I use up my lunch hour. But since opening it I have had numerous problems. First I had to wait over two weeks for my debit card then no one called me when it finally got to bank, I had to keep calling and when it did they were rude about it. When I opened the account I asked for starter checks while my debit card arrived. They printed the wrong account number on them causing my payment to my rent be declined twice costing me $85. Then I just found out because my balance went to $0 Val for two days my account was closed even though I was sent a statement showing it was still open. In addition I have no access to my direct deposit from social security disability so I don't know what will happen now. Plus I have jury duty today and no money for gas.

Just a moment...
