This is what Heidi McCaskey, the Director at Lionsgate Child Development Center, and Glenda Combs (Regional Director for Apple Tree Academies) allow to happen in their care. This is the third time he has been bit by the SAME, KNOWN, biter. He has bitten multiple children, on multiple occasions, over a lengthy period of time. His own teachers call him "the piranha". But yet, because I was upset, and thought they weren't doing enough to protect the children from him, was told "it's not a good fit". We've been there for over a year, and I would challenge them to produce one teacher in that facility that doesn't enjoy my son. But I have heard all kinds of negative comments about the other one. And because he has a difficult home situation, he gets a pass. I'm so heartbroken that my son is being punished. I have even swallowed every bit of pride and practically begged to stay. But "it's not a good fit" because I'm the squeaky wheel.Additionally, the one good review of this daycare, is from the Director, Heidi McCaskey.
The front desk staff from the very first visit were so genuine and accommodating. Kellie, Renne and Tameka are fantastic! My son has now been at KRK Clayton for a little over 5 months. I can not stress how incredible Jessica is in the infant room! All three teachers have had great communication, coordination and collaboration amongst themselves to keep things running smoothly everyday. An added benefit of this school are the live video feeds to each room. Being a new parent, the separation anxiety I had in the beginning was eased a great deal by being able to check in and just put my eyes on him any time throughout the day. Tara, the owner of the center, is there most everyday/all day throughout the week. This to me says a great deal about her commitment to the school and its success. I have truly been very impressed with where we chose to invest in our child's safety and thriving and nurturing environment thus far.
Do yourself a favor, have these guys do ALL your HVAC work. I had a large company come out to my house and gave an estimate of 3K dollars to replace an easily accessible evap coil to fix a leak. I thought we would be without AC all summer and was ready to buy window units when ODD Jobs was recommended. They came to my house, did a leak test (other company charges 175.00) for free. They found not one but 2 leaks! They replaced the evap coil, filter drier, fixed two leaks and even installed a device to help isolate the system from loosing all the gas should it develop a leak again. The estimate Wayne gave me was 675.00 dollars..MONEY WELL SPENT! AC works like a champ. Thanks Wayne and Jimmy!
My daughter attended the Carolina Child Development Center on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The cost was $45 per day based on the hours that she attended. Over Thanksgiving week, the school was closed on Thursday. No staff were on duty. We were still charged for that day. I brought it up to the management staff and were told that was a policy in all of their affiliates. I asked to get contact information about their corporate offices so that I may contact them and was told that they did not give out that information.
This center has been such a blessing for our family. The staff is amazing and management is always there and available and helpful. You can tell they truly care about the children, We love it here!
