After having taken my vehicle to Affordable Automotive for an oil leak I was told the oil pan was "rusted" and needed replacing for approx $550. The day I went for the replacement the shop had closed permanently. I was referred to the COOP. I was given a quote of $1900. for rear main seal and a "dented, beat up oil pan" that needed replacing! Rusted and Dented were two red flags. Declined COOP. Contacted other mechanic shops who refused to give me their hourly rate and the number of hrs expected for repair on rear main seal. contacted Tony Kennedy @ Crain's on a another referral! Asked for hourly rate and number of hrs for repair. He provided answers to both questions without hesitation and a quote to boot. I took my truck to Tony. He was true to his word. It took longer than anticipated but...only because it was an older car. Was difficult to get it taken apart, labor intensive job. That was about 3 weeks ago. There is no evidence of further leaking. Didn't need the oil pan replaced, which I knew! I was charged to standard charge for that particular repair in this zip code, area. The staff was professional, and friendly. Great customer service all around. Capable mechanic service as well. Most importantly they are fair and honest with pricing! Thanks Bobbie and Tony especially. Happy Christmas
Took my Mercedes to this place because I heard good things about them from a colleague. My car was driving funny and running a little weak like I put some bad gas in the car. I pulled up and walked into an old kind of shop that was a little dusty and kinda rustic, and started talking to a guy named Rick or Rich I think which was very nice and he immediately asked one of the mechanics to come take a look. Bob the Mechanic came out to my car and listened for a minute to how it was running and then he asked how it was acting and took my car for a short drive. When he came back, he told me what he thought was going on and he asked if he could check a few things right fast so of course I said yes. After about 10-15 minutes Bob comes out and my car is running perfect again. He said it was a temporary fix but it would stay fixed long enough for them to get the part the next day. He also mentioned it could use a tune up because it clearly hadn't been done in a while so I brought my car back the next day and Bob fixed the problem and tuned it up for what a normal service would cost me at the dealership. I will never go back to the dealership and wait forever to be seen or wait a day to get my car back or get over charged just because they are the dealer. I am a small car customer for life.
***UPDATE BELOW***I spent all I had and was assured my transmission was fixed. Well after returning twice in less than 3 weeks after the initial service my car had to be towed home because the transmission went out. I will be contacting them as soon as they open on Monday because they sold me a bad transmission. If they get it right I'll gladly update with a new review but til then all I can say is I'm not happy and I don't have the time or money to waste on a issue like this. They were recommended to me and I trusted the owner Sean when he said he would do right by me. So far not so good. Monday will be my 2nd time having to get my vehicle towed there cause of transmission leakage and slipping. ***UPDATED REVIEW***Well after returning my van after I kept having leakage and slipping, Sean made sure they found out what was wrong with the transmission and found out that the transmission wasn't bad after all it was leaking from somewhere else. Albeit was very frustrating and inconvenient Sean did do his best to find out what was going on. He actually brought me back to my car personally. Bottom line the customer service was good and the price was reasonable for a replacement transmission. And I would consider using them possibly in the future.
Last week the battery died in my car. I purchased a new battery from a place on Fort Campbell and after the new battery was put in i had no internal power in my car. The place that i purchased the battery from told me that they didnt know what the problem was and told me that i could come back tomorrow and they would take a look. Well i wasnt pleased i just spent 150.00 dollars with them and i was leaving their shop with more issues. i researched the internet and tested the fuses in my car to try and figure out what exactly the problem was and saw that my 125 amp fuse was blown. I got online to napa auto parts ordered the fuse online and picked it up the next morning at 7am. The Napa autoparts guy was unable to put it on for me but went out of his way to make a call to TandB Automotive and told me that they would help me out and to ask for Tim. When i got there Tim was there i explained to him what i thought the problem was and he had me fixed up in minutes. Not only was the customer service great, but he did not charge me anything to put the fuse in. I am so grateful to them and will now be taking both of our vechles to T and B for maintenance and repairs when needed. AWESOME SERVICE!!!
After reading other reviews I had hopes that this could be my "go to" place as I get repairs done immediately and do the oil change on a timely manner. I called, gave the make and year of the car, explained that I had already run the self diagnostics built into the system, (some of us do know a bit about cars), had experienced the problem before as it is an older vehicle, and wanted to know if they could replace the resistor I identified and what the cost would be. Not having other trouble with the vehicle, but will be needing a battery and brakes soon, based on age and miles. The immediate response was that it was $51 for diagnostic to make sure it was the resistor. Why would anyone pay for diagnostics when the vehicle's built in codes have told you what you need? Won't be able to speak to their expertise or promptness, but don't consider professionalism to be high when you wish to rip off customers by charging for diagnostics that are not needed.
Dave is an excellent mechanic, and he truly cares about your situation.He has done work on three of my cars over the last few years, and every timeI am glad to have hired him to do the work. Just yesterday, I had him come overto do a water pump job on a car of mine, as the shop I brought it to for a diagnostic to told me it was bad, but wanted waaaaaay to much money to do the work....and guess what? THE SHOP was wrong, Dave told me no need for a water pump, and had no idea why the shop said it was a water pump issue, so I paid Dave for a diagnostic look again, and thanked him for reinforcing my feelings towards that shop I had, they are crooks!!!If you want professionalism and a truly skilled guy to work on your car, do what I did, hire him!!! You will not be sorry that you did.
I want to leave a very heart felt review of shawn and his guys at absolute. being a single mother i have had my share of being taken advantage of by people making repairs on my vehicle. recently when i had major problems with my truck i began to ask around who was the best and trust worthy and everyone said the same. always shawn at absolute. he has gone above and beyond what i ever expected and will never go anywhere else. best prices and truly honest. dont waste your time going elsewhere. go see shawn.
I took my chevy to Tenn Frame to have the door fixed. It was a mess when I took it in, it had the door panel falling off and it didn't shut the way it was supposed to at all. Those guys had it done in under a day and its PERFECT! I'm super stoked! There is no wind coming in the door anymore at all, its SO quite now! It shuts like its BRAND NEW! When I look at my truck I'm excited just to see the door is shut all the way! I am SO THANKFUL to the guys at Tenn Frame, they did an AWESOME job.
For about 4 years, Dave was my personal mechanic. I have never seen the professionalism, dedication, nor service in any other mechanic or service shop. I once had David drive 2 hours, and then another time three hours, just to come work on my vehicles. His rates were so reasonable that it was more affordable for me to have him to come to my house, two hours away, to replace my slave cylinder on my transmission than going to a local shop. I wholeheartedly give David a 5 star rating.
I had a great experience at Auto MD! According to the last three auto mechanic shops that I went to kept telling me I had a bad transmission on my Mitsubishi Montero Sport and needed replacing. I was asked to have AUTO MD take a look at my vehicle before I change my transmission and so I went to Auto MD thinking I had a 1,500$+ transmission problem. They were very professional and HONEST and resulted in a 159$ electrical wiring issue. Two Thumbs up!
