MY HUSBAND AND I WEREW IN CLARKSDALE OVER THE HOLIDAYS TO VISIT FAMILY. IT HAD BEEN YEARS SINCE I HAD BEEN BACK HOME SO I HAD NO IDEA WHERE TO GO FOR BREAKFAST. I HAVE A RULE THAT ON VACATION WE CANNOT EAT AT PLACES WE CAN EAT IN AT HOME. WE HAPPENED TO STAY IN THE MOTEL ACROSS THE STREET FROM REST HAVEN AND JUST RANDOMLY PICKED A DIRECTION PULLING OUT OF THE PAEKING LOT. WE SAW THE SIGN AND JUST DECIDED TO GO THERE SINCE IT WAS CONVIENT. THE FOOD WE GREAT, THE BISCUITS WERE FABULOUS.AND THE PEOPLE WER VERY NICE. WE ENDED UP EATING THERE EVERY MORNING OF OUR STAY. WHEN WE GOT HOME WE MISSED IT.. I RREALIZED WHEN WE WERE SITTING IN THE BOOTH THE FIRST DAY WE WERE THERE THAT MY GRANDPARENTS USE TO TAKE US THERE WHEN WE WERE KIDS A LOOOOOOONNNNNGGGG TIME AGO. WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO EATING THERE AGAIN WHEN WE GO VISITING AGAIN. YUMMY

Food aside though, what disappointed me about our experience was the ambience and service. While walking to our table in the back of the restaurant and once seated, we got the feeling the restaurant was a place for business dinners. The chatter volume was quite high, most parties were groups of 4+, and there was a lack of intimacy that I associate with 3 Michelin Star dining.

Just a moment...
