United Technical Center
The United Technical Center is not what it used to be. It has repeatedly lost different classes over time. Which is just as well because the teachers often are just not in the mood to teach. Sometimes they have refused to help students from a mood that they were in. Other times teachers (most of them) have worked other jobs in the classroom and told students to leave them alone. There are companies (like Union Carbide) that will not hire students from the United Career Center or from any Technical Center in the United States because of their disappointment with people that they have recommended for hiring. And that is there national policy and not just their local policy. Ask Union Carbide and that is what you will find out. Also when it comes to the success rate of getting students hired they have mislead people intentionally. They call the former students and ask them if they are hired (anywhere). I explained once that I was hired in a part time minimum wage job that had nothing to do with my field of study. But that didn't matter to the person calling. It was explained to me on the phone that any job at all,. even a short term minimum wage job that isn't in the persons field of study is counted as a permanent success. There are far better newer trade schools that care more about the students than about their reputation in a dishonest and half involved way.
