A E Door & Window Co
You wrote a review for AE Door & Window Co10 minutes ago1.0 star rating 8/16/2017I had an unusual experience with A&E Doors just trying to get someone to come out to my home to give me an estimate on an entrance door. The salesperson I spoke with insisted on giving me an estimate over the phone. He said he didn't want to waste his time or mine. I told him I had priced doors at Lowe's and told him their estimate and he said oh, my price would be twice that amount or even as high as $5000.00. I really got the feeling he just didn't want my business. I am black and live in Amelia, OH. I asked if they ever come out to the home to do estimates and he said yes, but he didn't want to waste his time or mine. I think he assumed I couldn't afford to buy their door. I called the company back and told the person who answered what happened. She was very nice and suggested having me talk to a different salesperson; she did not want to me to leave with a bad taste about their company. She put me through to the second salesperson; I left her a message with my phone number and she never called me. I went with another company who had no problems coming to my home to give me an estimate. In fact I had two different companies come out to give estimates; both very nice and professional. Neither company suggested giving me an estimate over the phone based on what I thought I wanted. My door is costing $4,053.00. A&E missed out.

Door Store
I live on Kingswood Drive in West Chester, OH. This is a community of duplexes. There are 3 locations that the door store is normally placed and as usual there are none anywhere on our street / cul DE sac. Sadly, this has become a habit with whoever is supposed to have the job if delivering the. Today, 1/2/2017, again I have to call and complain. Please whoever is supposed to deliver to our community, 45069, do your job and deliver our door stores in time and not on the ground at these mailboxes, at least set them on top.

My experience started out normal enough - had trouble with the door sticking so I decided to contact A&E Door. I hear them all the time advertising so figured they were reputable. I explained in great detail what the problem was - the manager schedules a service call. On the way to my home the tech called me and I explained what the problem was as he very quickly told me exactly what the problem was. It was a very common problem with garage stores sticking to the paint as the hot sun bakes the door. Each time the door is opened they make a loud jerk and then the door works as usual. My problem with this entire experience is that the Manager, as well as several others copied on my email, failed to give me this quick and easy solution (rub some grease where the door meets the frame). It would have saved me from calling off work, and from the $100+ they charge for a consultation. $100 for less than 5 minutes of their time is much more than any other profession I know of and seemed very high. That did not bother me though, what bothered me was that they scheduled an appointment knowing very well what my problem was...knowing it was a very easy solution, something that a child could have done. This is was a very deceptive and unethical way of doing business. I would rather pay $200 to an honest worker/company for their knowledge than $100 to a deceitful company trying to nickel and dime me in every way possible.I'm sure there must be better A&E locations, but around the Mason, OH-Warren County area, I would highly recommending going with a different company. if you know there's a huge problem, call A&E, but do not call them for a minor issue as they will gouge you. Hope this review was helpful and can save someone else the hassle!Oh, last but not least, I contacted the manager, he replied but then failed to reply after a month and a half of waiting. Very disrespectful considering how nice my email was. Do business with a company that wants it :)

Target
Really cute kids' clothes here and good quality, too. You can find some bargains here when they mark down their holiday merchandise. I also like the greeting cards they carry. Store is always clean and neat.

Surprised recently when I was looking for an area rug. I spoke with the department manager about a rug that obviously had been returned and was labeled with the incorrect price. Manager sold me the rug for the lower price. It pays to speak up. Sometimes I find long lines at this store , but they only have a few checkout lanes open.

Door Store
I live on W 12th St in Newport and the people that deliver ours just throw the bags from their car missing 9 outta 10 yards which just turns them into litter! And for the next street over they go up the alley and throw theirs in the back yards half of those miss the yards as well! Completely ridiculous that they are paying these people to do a crappy job!

Door Store
Why is it called The Door Store, when they just throw it from their car? Sometimes it makes the driveway, otherwise it is in the street.(never near my Door). It is just litter, some neighbors have 3-4 still in front of their house. It is Tuesday night about 11pm and still don't have this weeks. It will be expired before we get it. Terrible company

I don't even want to leave a star! Needed help in the garden center with flowers. They was on a really high shelf and the lady working area couldn't reach it either. She asked for help which ended up being the asst manager and he never showed up. She was then told by the manager to not ask the asst manager to help with things on the floor. REALLY? Lazy and overpaid

Obviously under educated management.
Tips & Advices
Basic screen-door fixes can be pretty cheap, and most can be DIY fixes. Replacing a door closer can cost less than $15. Door hinges and latches are usually less than $10, unless you are getting really fancy. You’ll probably only need a basic screwdriver and possibly some screws or shims. Replacing the mesh can be more difficult, so weigh the value of mesh replacement vs. full door replacement when considering the actual screen replacement.
Screen door installation, for a standard swinging door (not a sliding screen), is relatively inexpensive. Depending on your area, expect to pay $50-$100 for installation costs. The doors themselves are usually inexpensive and can be as low as $40 (beware of the quality). If you are handy around the house, installing a screen door can be a great DIY opportunity.
A screen-door closer, or a pneumatic cylinder, is a device connecting the screen door to the door jamb. It is usually located at the top of the door and is designed to close the screen door automatically after opening. They can be easily adjusted to quicken or slow the door’s closing speed.
To stop a screen door from slamming shut, adjust the door closer, usually located at the top of the door. There is a cylinder inside the door closer that controls how fast or slow the door closes, and it is usually adjustable with a simple screw driver. If adjusting makes no difference, the door closer might be faulty and need replacing – a low-cost DIY project that requires minimal time and tools.
The most common cause of a sagging screen door is loose or worn hinge screws that attach the screen to the door frame. If they are loose, you can tighten them yourself. A loose latch between the door and the door frame is also a common cause of sagging. Again, check the screws and tighten them up if they’re loose.
