Thomas Decks
Pride, Craftsmanship, Quality = Fantastic DeckMatt and the Thomas Deck team completed our deck project in May 2013. We couldn’t be happier with the end result. My wife and I are not always that particular, but when it came to the deck on our new house we had many requirements that we know offered Matt a challenge. We love to be outside and plan (and do) spend a lot of time on our deck. Key requirements included: 1) Limited to no obstruction of view out our back windows. 2) Natural look and flow with wooded backyard. 3) Functionality (dining, grilling, entertaining).Matt was very attentive and responsive to our needs. He set expectations and from design through implementation of our deck Matt and his team put on quite a display of pride, craftsmanship, and professionalism providing our family an outdoor living space we know we will enjoy for many years to come.We had a couple of interviews with Matt where we were able to review our requirements and thoughts and Matt did a fantastic job in conceptualizing what we were looking for. He took measurements of the area behind our house and provided a handful of layouts using computer aided design software. We found a layout that was real close to what we thought would be best and worked with Matt on some refinements.Matt helped us determine that Tigerwood would be the best material to provide the quality, value and look we were going for. Matt came up with an awesome tier design that provided room for easy flow out of the house with a couple deck length steps down to a lower area. This layout provided for both functionality and a solution to limit obstruction to our view out of our house. We also decided to go with a black aluminum rail which also blends well with the woods as a back drop. Thomas Decks has many options for material, solutions, and ultimately a one of a kind outdoor living space.Matt set the tone for the project as a very dedicated craftsman who delivers a quality product with great attention to detail. There were just some things that this team does that display’s quality. While the deck frame is your traditional pine, they used larger posts and joists. They added a little extra flare to the actual deck floor by framing it in and adding a couple rows of boards that run down the middle of the deck perpendicular to the floor boards. He poured a nice concrete pad where the steps come down which match the shape of the angled staircase. Considering the grade of our back yard he put in a couple small retaining walls and worked with us on putting in a few stepping stones. Thomas Decks does it all! Thomas Decks is who you will want to work with if you are pursuing a deck or outdoor space project. They delivered us a great design with personal touches, a fantastic looking and quality deck, and met all expectations and then some. Estridge Carpentry
Our 1st contractor and I had a difference of opinion, and he quit. Our kitchen was not usable for Christmas. Mr. Estridge was the first of three BBB contractors I interviewed. I was impressed by his friendliness, his initiative to go into the crawlspace and look under the sink, where he found a leak; he thought he heard water dripping. I gave him a down payment. He came over the next day and installed a temporary sink and hooked up the new gas stove for us to use. He installed the cabinets we had. There was a delay in game until we settled with the first contractor. He was understanding of the situation. When given the green light, Mr. Estridge finished the job in two days. The job included installing the rest of the cabinets and trim, doing some unfinished electrical work, and painting. The cost was reasonable. Chris was friendly and professional. He had a great team. I love my kitchen. I only wish I had started the job with him as Contractor.

Economy Moving & Storage
I have moved many times over the years, this by far was the best move I have ever experienced. The crew covered my floors, and door frames with special covering. They padded all my furniture before they even carried it outside (first time out of all my moves). I just can not say enough about the guys and the great care they took in my furniture. We laughed and had fun the entire move although they were very professional during it all. These guys are great workers and have fun while they are doing it. I moved on Dec 5 in Anderson Township. Thanks you Economy, I will recommend your services to anyone I know that is moving. Ashley Lynn

Economy Moving & Storage
I recently moved from Mason to Economy's warehouse storage. I was very impressed with the way the guys came in and took care of my home and my furniture. They pad wrapped everything and took extra care to make sure my carpet did not get soiled, since it was a cold, rainy day. I wanted to see how my things would be stored so I followed the truck to Economy's storage. My items were placed in a wooden vault which is sealed. The warehouse was very clean and secure. I was very comfortable with the whole move. I would definitely recommend this company.

I hired Dec-x to build a deck and fence in my back yard. I am so happy with the work that has been done. I love my new deck, I love the unique style this company does, I have something different than everybody else, it's not just the normal. I greatly enjoyed the personalities of the employees, they were very accommodating to all the special wants/needs I had. I would definitely hire them again if or when I ever need any decking or fencing done. I would also recommend that you give them the opportunity to make you as happy as I am.

Antoine and his crew were on time, told me to sit down and they took over. They got two rooms of additional furniture in my pod saving me thousands of dollars. They did not waste an inch of space. They carefully protected my 1880's antiques as well as my bought from value city furniture. Their attention to detail was apparent, they treated my home as if it was theirs! really!! I will never use anyone else! Look out big companies that charge you too much, this guy and his team are going to be hard to beat.

Move It Now
I wanted to take a minute and recognize the professionalism and hard work by the two movers you sent to assist us this past weekend (Ref #: 1074334). They were efficient, personable, very hard-working, respectful and much more. During an event as stressful as this, it was great to see two guys as concerned about safely moving our stuff as we were. Bolt Moving
Bolt moving moved me from my down-town apartment to a town home in the City West. I absolutely loved their service. They were on time, didn't damage one thing in our complex move and they worked like a team of horses. Best of all their price was very low. Carlton Tom Movers
My husband I were so pleased to have done business with them in our recent move. They were on time, efficient, and very knowledgeable in just how to get things in and out of tight spaces. No damage occurred to furniture, walls, floors, etc. They were finished in less time than we had been originally quoted ,and the fees charged were less than other movers were charging. Tips & Advices
Yes, it’s best to empty drawers, wardrobes and chests before a move. Items always get knocked around a bit, and doors can fly open even if they’ve been taped. In fact, more often than not, movers will want to remove the drawers from a dresser--or disassemble the wardrobe to be more space-efficient.
Yes, it is customary to tip movers, but the amount varies widely. For full-service moves, a 5 percent tip is suggested, although, for extra service, some people go up to 10 percent . For small local movers, you can give each mover $10 for a few-hour job, or $20-$40 for jobs that take longer.
A bill of lading is the legal contract for the move. It provides a detailed receipt, in addition to a contract between the client and the mover. It authorizes the mover to transport the goods from one specific point to another, and it outlines the exact scope of services, with cost breakdown for those services. It also provides an itemized list of the inventory, and carrier liability protection for each declared item. Finally, it specifies the payment arrangement. Make sure to go over your itemized list extremely carefully before finalizing the paperwork--and get a copy of the full document. A good mover will go over everything on the bill of lading with the customer.
There are several items that moving companies will not move – those items will be listed on a document as “non-allowables.” These items typically fall in three categories: perishables, sentimental/personal items, and hazardous material. Perishables are food and plants. Sentimental/personal value is up to the client to decide, but usually includes jewelry, medical and dental records, personal paperwork, valuables and collectibles. Hazardous material is the tricky category, since it includes a lot of everyday items found in the garage, garden or kitchen. For example, cleaning liquids and pesticides both are considered non-allowable by many companies. Some go so far as to disallow nail polish and batteries.
A binding estimate means that the moving company cannot charge more than the stated amount, though they can lower the final bill if the scope of the job was smaller than expected. A non-binding moving estimate is more likely to wind up costing more than expected, since the movers can increase their rates for unforeseen variables like stairs, “long carry” and materials.
