They don't just take anything in this consignment shop. You can find some quality, eclectic items in good condition. If you are into vintage you might snag some deals, too.
Pleasantly surprised at the selection and styles available here. It's not just selling those overstuffed grandpa recliners of the past. Yes, they sell recliners, but they don't look like one unless that's your preference. Decorator came to the house to help me with color choice for the couch I purchased here.
Do not purchase furniture, especially mattresses or any cloth furnishings from Front Room! The mattresses in particular may contain BED BUGS! Management admits that the stores are sprayed for bugs, which tells us that there has been or certainly could be a problem. Especially with mattresses being exposed to the general public, which in my opinion, should not be SOLD as a result. 'Tester' mattresses should be trashed and not sold.
I should've listened to the reviews about the delivery inconveniences for Cincinnati Overstock. The bit of money you save in trying to deal with the business isn't worth it, in my opinion. Here's the short of the long:It took 12 business days of the estimated 5-10 business days to get to the facility. I had to call and get an update. The couch sat in the warehouse for almost four days before receiving a call from delivery about it. Delivery then was scheduled for the following week because that's all that was available (though I'm sure something was available in the days the couch was sitting there). 2-3 weeks has become over a month when it should be arriving. Had to call a few times to get updates. Anyways, I'd probably try somewhere else.Not worth it.
as a past employee , I would advise greatly against shopping at this place. but if you must. never ever use their delivery service. Cincinnati overstock uses a third party delivery company as a way of escaping any responsibility. Instead they hand over the job to people even less accountable. And chances are that by the time John "jimmy" james or Tom arrive (if they arrive on time)in their outdated trucks your products will be damaged, "missing", not anything like what you thought you were purchasing or just have some great new old guy body odor. free of charge of course. and the great thing is once they get there any complaints must be filed on paper. increasing the time it will take to resolve conflicts. so they can collect theyre pay for a job not completed. Cincinnati overstock can then restock your purchased item and get it sold before you ever get a chance to be refunded. stay away from these crooks.
The prices for the items I ordered were lower than others, however the delivery charge was $100 and completely unreliable. I ordered my items Dec 7th, with an ETA of 1-2 weeks. Two of the three items arrived in two weeks, however it is Jan 12 and I have still not received my third item!! I received one phone call a few weeks ago explaining it was on back order and have not heard from anyone since. I have emailed and left messages about my concern and have heard nothing. I went in store to inquire about what was going on and no one had any answers for me. They gave me a $50 gift card but why would I buy anything else from them if this is what happens?! I will not be buying anything further from this company. Its not worth it.
My husband and I walked in looking for a king sized bed in which were looking forward to spending a pretty penny on and no one came to us for help. We went looking and found the general manager who had not the slightest idea on what he was doing! We left and went to Ikea instead.
Ordered furniture from these people on August 1st. Two days later got a call that the coffee/end tables we ordered were discontinued. No biggie. The next day got a call that the entertainment center we ordered was discontinued, but we could purchase the broken floor model. The Monday before our delivery date, got a call saying our couch was on back order and delivery would be made on Sept 13. Grrrr. Delivery day came. They forgot one of the mattresses we had ordered, and expected us to wait a week for it. Managed to get that delivered the next day. Called today (Sept 9) to confirm delivery of couch. Told that it could be another two weeks for the couch!!! To top it off, the so-called customer service department was unwilling to investigate the possibility of delivery for the date we were promised, nor were they willing to provide a number for me to contact a main office. In addition, I cannot understand how a company can be SO out of touch with their suppliers or good business practices, to the point that they won't even offer to investigate all possibilities. Outside of the salesman, Shawn, this was THE WORST home furnishing purchase experience I have EVER had!!!
