New Direction Treatment Services
hi let me introduce myself please first of all. my name is Amber and I am a recovering addict. my drug of choice is opiate. I got my first charge and 2014 I became a felon at the age of 30 with children and a husband. I had everything I wanted going for me so I thought. then it came time to take care of my business at 100% not 95 or 99 percent.I do have a plan for myself now that I am going to see miss Donna!first of all let me say she is one of the nicest people I've ever met and has lots of experience when it comes to addiction! I would recommend her to anyone at new recovery treatment be honest when I was first told to try it out I thought to myself no way I don't need this I don't need to go waste time and speak to somebody about my problem ,explanation's, etc . then it came to me one day at a meeting for sobriety and I was having one of the worst days of my life. all I wanted to do and all I thought about was doing drugs! so I walked the floors all night long. The next morning wasA Saturday afternoon. I had my first appointment with Donna Butler at the treatment center on chase Avenue in Northside Ohio which is only about 2-3 miles from my house. when I arrived very anxious nervous you name it I felt it but still sober! as I thought to myself I'll never make it through this day without using...Donna at that time for the first time walks in and introduce d myself and vice versa. OK with in min's I realized that I m going to be able to work this program and I'm still working on it. I'm sure that I can get the new year off to a great one. Once again for the changes in the way I've been doing because I am so proud of myself and then I can get to help you call and make a appointment with her.OK really want to do what I'm sure that I'm capable of without any questions or concerns about using... I have way to much in my life for me to loose very much as well as my children. My babies are my everything. when I first met Donna I was struggling very badly going through depression and other sorts of issues she was there for me to talk to and open up to without feeling judged and I still feel the same way about her! a matter of fact the state got involved because of my charge that was a felony!! Which in my eyes and in my opinion my children should have been home months ago. I even took this to trial and 1 the case was dismissed! the system failed me big time and my children especially! because I made a mistake in my life just one, looks like I'll pay for it for the rest of my life! so the point is in order for me personally to get through all of this he said she said drama all the appeals, all the emotions that were filed just to hold my casa up has really really got me down to the point where it's hard to get up and function and get out of my own bed. it's a very sad the sad thing so anyway I'm going to end this was a so simple phrase:all is possible for your life,u have to see the new year of the other side if u really want it ,ready for it, u can get it. It is more about getting the new attitude and I see outlook you.
Tips & Advices
If you don't have insurance, you may be able to find outpatient programs like Narcotics Anonymous that offer counseling and meetings for patients at no cost.
Some facilities accept health insurance like United Healthcare, BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, Humana and Medicaid. Many carriers support in-state assessment, detox and outpatient treatment. Some also partially cover residential or inpatient treatment. Because drug addiction is considered a disease, major health insurance providers must treat it like any other chronic condition that requires medical treatment. Be sure to inquire about co-pays and deductibles so you don't receive a surprise bill months after you start a program.
Yes. Some treatment programs promote quick sobriety through seemingly impossible means, such as herbal supplements or religious affiliation. Be wary of questionable claims like, "Shake your drug addiction in one week!" If the advertising sounds too good to be true, the program could potentially be a scam. Instead, look for organizations that include approval and certification from real doctors and health care providers.
Yes. Attending a program that is specific to your drug of choice will make your treatment much more likely to be impactful and successful.  Some provide certain users with medications like Valium and Xanax to counteract symptoms of distress associated with alcohol or drug withdrawals. You may not want to attend such programs if you fear that you may instead become addicted to these substances.
Yes. A physician can determine how severe your addiction is, which will help you decide if you want to try inpatient or outpatient treatment. He or she can also consider any withstanding health issues such as psychiatric conditions that should be factored into your decision. Next, check out facilities and programs that offer treatment for the substances that you abuse.
