Olive Garden Italian Restaurant
Olive Garden isn't what it used to be. It's not this location's fault but their latest menu doesn't have many of the traditional Italian dishes that appeal to my husband and me. No manicotti, chicken marsala, or parmesan tilapia. Mostly they have fattrning cream-laden type pastas and heavy desserts. Our server was not attentive, took about 15 minutes to bring us water and take our order and got the bill mixed up. He argued with my husband about wine - he didn't know that zinfandel can also be red, which my husband tried to order. He said there is only white zinfandel.

Grand Finale
Quaint but elegant establishment that's been around for quite awhile. Although there are a number of menu choices, they are noted for their crepes. I usually order the crepes coq au vin. (chicken in a wine sauce with toasted almonds) You can get one or two with a salad and various breads. Outstanding desserts are also available. Try the chocolate cherry cordial pie. (chocolate mousse in a pecan crust.) You will be sharing this with the table because it's a generous portion. The Sunday brunch is one of the best around. Make reservations!

Dukesters Supper Club
I had been looking for a soul food restaurant since I moved to Cincinnati. Heard a radio commercial about the Dukester and went right over to try it......I was not disappointed. I ordered the Catfish Dinner it was the bomb. So was the greens, candied yams and the peach cobbler was off the chain!!!! Think I found my soul food restaurant!!! I highly recommend this restaurant. The owner said after the first of the year they'all be open 7 days a week!!! Thank you Dukster!!!!

Skyline Chili
Cincinnati chili is really a recipe from a Greek immigrant. It's an "acquired" taste according to newcomers, but if you were born here you love it. Multiple locations in the city. My favorite menu item is the three way which consists of a plate of spaghetti covered with the chili and topped with a mound of shredded cheddar cheese and served with oyster crackers. Other combos including beans and/or onions are also popular.

A Tavola
Food is delicious. Ate their chicken meatballs and also some sort of artichoke/goat cheese pizza. But the waiter was so rude that I was afraid of him. I was with a large group, and he was equally rude to everyone. Not sure if he is still there... this was months ago. But, again, the food was good. We just have not been back due to the waiter... who may not even be there anymore.

LaRosa's Pizza White Oak
This restaurant is part of a popular pizza chain in the Cincinnati area. Monday and Tuesday nights spaghetti-a-plenty is a deal that can't be beat. $4.99 gets you a salad, spaghetti, garlic bread or breadsticks with refills on bread and spaghetti. Wednesday night has kids make your own one topping pizza with a drink and cookie for $3.99. Lots of fun.

Adriatico's New York Style Pizza
I've been to Adriatico's multiple times since I started my graduate work at University of Cincinnati back in August of 2012. The pizza and zonis are to die for. They also have a very good selection of beer on tap. The service has always been good everytime I've eaten there. Definitely a must if you're in town to visit or you visit the area often.

O'Charley’s Restaurant & Bar
I like the renovation here. More up to date light fixtures and color scheme. The yeast rolls are something I look forward to and the twisted chips are a good change of pace from fries. Check your receipt. They frequently have a survey phone number to call and critique your experience. If you do, you will get a free appetizer.

Terry's Turf Club
Very busy on a Sunday night. Staff is super nice and attentive. Food was average, IMO. Lump crab & lobster cake sandwich lacked seafood and flavor and tasted mostly of potatoes. Burgers are good. Sides are good but small portions. Our order of onion rings had four rings. Great dive ambience. We enjoyed the experience.

Bacalls Cafe
This neighborhood restaurant and bar is a local favorite. Wide variety of salads, sandwiches , and dinners. Can be noisy on a crowded Saturday night, but just get in the swing of things and go with the flow. Limited street parking with large lot in the back makes parking easy. Cashew chicken salad is very good

Just a moment...
