My experience started out normal enough - had trouble with the door sticking so I decided to contact A&E Door. I hear them all the time advertising so figured they were reputable. I explained in great detail what the problem was - the manager schedules a service call. On the way to my home the tech called me and I explained what the problem was as he very quickly told me exactly what the problem was. It was a very common problem with garage stores sticking to the paint as the hot sun bakes the door. Each time the door is opened they make a loud jerk and then the door works as usual. My problem with this entire experience is that the Manager, as well as several others copied on my email, failed to give me this quick and easy solution (rub some grease where the door meets the frame). It would have saved me from calling off work, and from the $100+ they charge for a consultation. $100 for less than 5 minutes of their time is much more than any other profession I know of and seemed very high. That did not bother me though, what bothered me was that they scheduled an appointment knowing very well what my problem was...knowing it was a very easy solution, something that a child could have done. This is was a very deceptive and unethical way of doing business. I would rather pay $200 to an honest worker/company for their knowledge than $100 to a deceitful company trying to nickel and dime me in every way possible.I'm sure there must be better A&E locations, but around the Mason, OH-Warren County area, I would highly recommending going with a different company. if you know there's a huge problem, call A&E, but do not call them for a minor issue as they will gouge you. Hope this review was helpful and can save someone else the hassle!Oh, last but not least, I contacted the manager, he replied but then failed to reply after a month and a half of waiting. Very disrespectful considering how nice my email was. Do business with a company that wants it :)
After initiating two projects with Nisbet Brower, I became dissatisfied on two levels:1) The level of attention to detail slipped as soon as the interactions were no longer face to face. To get accuracy, the customer must know all of the details and follow-up on the order details to assure accuracy. The color/finish of kitchen cabinets was wrong, as were several other details and, if I didn't consistently review the work, or, if I asked their rep to double check a color name I thought was inaccurate, the rep didn't do it2) If they make an error, they will admit their mistake and offer a remedy that suits them best (a small discount and make-shift fix). If you determine you would rather have the job done correctly, they stall to get back to you and then report the redo will take two to three times longer than the initial job took...or falls to the low end of their priorities. It appears, this is done to encourage you to choose their small discount rather than request the job is properly done. The manager isn't afraid to let you know his experience with new home building is superior to yours, even if you've been successfully rehabbing and selling homes for decades. We purposefully choose to use local providers to support our community and find it disappointing that their isn't as much commitment to supporting us as customers. The staff seems overwhelmed with workload, which might be the cause of lack of follow-through and lost details. The staff does know their products wellIf you want a job done well by Nisbet-Brower, meet face to face for all details, check all paperwork yourself, write into your contract that their errors will result in an immediate full refund and the re-order, since they only prioritize new orders.
Honest, very very reliable, and resonable in price. All American Door Lock & Glass was there when they said they would be. I was quoted a price over the phone and that is what I paid once the work was done. The Lock Smith was extremly nice. Thank you All American Door Lock & Glass for all your help in my time of need.
I had Columbia come out to give me a bid on my roof. They rep. was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. He noticed storm damage during the inspection, and helped me get a portion of my roof paid for through my insurance. This was such a blessing on my pocket. Thanks Again!
They were always available to answer questions and consulted with me several times throughout the process. Even though my job was a relatively small one for them, I always felt like a valued customer. I definitely plan to use them for my next project. Thanks again!
I've never worked for a better home improvement company. I've been there for 5 months and I have nothing but good things to say about everyone I work with. The way they treat their employees and customers makes me want to be with them forever.
This store is clean and well lit. Seems to have a better selection of lighting and paddle fans than other big box stores. Also you would have more to choose from if you are looking for vanities and mirrors. Sales staff are friendly and helpful
I was struck by how clean and neat this place is. It's huge with so many items to pick from. They even sell food along with all you need for home improvement and building materials. Best big box store, I think.
Ryans Home Center did a great job and has great prices on our new siding and windows. They even provided financing. Our neighbors say we have the best looking house in the neighborhood.
This location always seems dark, dingy, and overcrowded. The prices are good but not great. A lot of the merchandise looks used. The employees and friendly when you can find one.
