Arlin's Bar & Restaurant
If you want to go to a bar that tells it's patrons to go fuck themselves, if you want to be told your an idiot, if you want them to make fun of you and your wife after finding out you had a newborn baby die in your arms at the hospital, then you have found the perfect place to go hang out in Arlins Bar. Oh and to top it off if they do not like the music you played, they will skip it and tell you to bad! The friends of the bartenders decide what is allowed to be heard, so if you spend your money on the jukebox you had better hope they like it or your music will be skipped and no refund given. Enjoy!

The Varsity Sports Bar and Grill
4/30/17. Been here many times/today will be our last time! Very low staff.... Wings are great... Had a kids Mac n cheese "meal" that consists of a side cup of Mac n cheese and fries for $7. Thought it was a mistake since we had another kids meal of full burger and fries for same price and "manager" Shannon came out to state "well you got fries right? Very rude and thanked us for our opinion... The server (only one on floor) talking crap as she went back to let know of our question regarding this so called meal...poor all the v way around.... Do not recommend!!! Will go back to leave A real tip... THIS MANAGER SUCKS

Symphony Hotel Bed & Breakfast
Beautifully decorated B & B in the heart of downtown right around the corner from Music Hall and Washington Park. Composer-themed guest rooms. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 2, 3, or 5 course gourmet meals are available. Charming and reminiscient of a by-gone era.

Taft's Ale House
You'll have to make a visit to find out for yourself the connection President William Howard Taft, native son, may have with this popular downtown bar and restaurant. Craft beers fill the bars with varied and interesting creations. Beautiful renovation done to the historic church building of yore. Interesting food options for those looking for lunch or dinner with their beer.

Westy's Pub
This small bar has a Cheers feel to it with a loyal band of regulars who are quite welcoming to newcomers. Not much room in the main room to listen to live music. You just might be standing. The back parking lot is in need of repaving. Food is pretty good, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Tap House Grill
Local bar and restaurant with a good variety of food options. The fish sandwich is a generous size. I usually take half home and get another meal out of it. Sharable size appetizers for the table.

Symphony Hotel Bed & Breakfast
Conveniently located next to Washington Park, the Symphony Hotel is nothing short of spectacular. The 5 course gourmet dinner meal is an excellent option along with the various wine and bourbon selection. If you haven't had the opportunity to visit the Symphony Hotel I would highly recommend finding an excuse to check it out

Whisky Bar Cincinnati
Went here a few weeks ago to spend time with some friends I haven't seen in a while. I was extremely disappointed! Loved the band (EQ), but the service was abominable! The drinks were over-priced & mixed drinks had little to no alcohol in them. I heard they had good food, so waited to eat until I got there. I walked in around 9 PM (starving!) and was told the kitchen was closed! Seriously? Closed? They ran out of food! What? One of my friends said not to worry THEY ORDERED A PIZZA from LaRosa's & it should be delivered soon. We knew we would be a large group, so we called several days ahead to have them set up tables for us; we were also supposed to have our own server.. When the night arrived there were only 2 bartenders & one server for the entire place! After taking orders 2 separate times (an hour apart), the server told us that she couldn't do it any more & we would have to get our own drinks at the bar! Normally not a big deal.....except when you are expecting your own server! I asked for a glass of ice water, after waiting 20 minutes she brings it to me. The cup was about 4 oz, the size you'd get at the doctors office to give a urine sample in! Bottom line.....overpriced drinks, no food, bad service. I wouldn't go back there on a bet!! They get one star because there isn't anything lower.

Just a moment...
