I am a huge dork when it comes to wine I love it but know very little about it I happen to be at the Milford Walmart (not where i usually shop) and looking for something to have with dinner that night (was having friends over).. This really nice guy was so helpful he told me Oak leaf while super inexpensive was really great so i got 4 bottles of it. I told him I like a nice strong red wine and he suggested Gabiano Chianti I picked up just one bottle of that.. should have taken a few more OMG it was soo good such a hit and i took credit for the pick with my friends!!! I just needed to let you all know that it was that vendor that made a huge difference THANKS WINE GUY JOE!!!! keep that guy around he knows his stuff!!!!

You cannot beat the location and view at this brewery restaurant on the Ohio River in downtown Cincy. Great selection of beers, obviously, and the food (stick-to-your ribs kind of stuff that's great to wash down with beer) was terrific. There was so much on the menu I wanted to order! Great spot for a date night or grown-up dinner with pals.

After reading the negative review about Vinoklet, I had to voice my opinion. For those out there that have to be waited on hand and foot, This is not the place for you. We were greeted at the door and shown to our table ( This is our fourth (4) visit ). We had a nice table o the veranda for four people. We mentioned to the waiter that the room was a little cold, next thing you know a heater. We went and had our wine tasting and each couple picked a bottle of wine ( Cincinnatus and Brother Joe). We sat and had a nice conversation and a couple of glasses of wine. I can tell you the place was very busy, several large parties going on, but still was very pleasant. We decided to go and get a salad and soup, the place is very clean and the salad was very fresh. I can tell you we all had the ceasar salad, along with the very tasty soup. After some more conversation we decided to head to get our entree. We had two (2) salmon, one (1) cod and one (1) NY strip steak. I can tell you the quality of the food was excellent. Yep, here it is folks, you have to cook the food yourself. It is cooked on a real wood fire, with all the seasonings that you could imagine. Now, I have been there before so I brought my own seasonings. For the salmon I had salmon seasoning and some Lemon Dill sauce that I poured over after cooking. The cod I cooked with butter and some real garlic that brought with me, and the steak I had my favorite steak seasoning. Now I can tell you I do like to cook at home and do all of the cooking in my house. The sides were real mashed potatoes, with real not frozen green beans, corn and hot bread. The deserts were not on plastic plates but on real china, and the offering was excellent. Now for $35.00 a person it is on the pricey side considering that you have to cook your own meal, and serve yourself. But I just want everyone to know this up front. I can tell you we visit Vinoklet once a year just to have a great meal with some good friends and family. The wine is excellent and the atmosphere is one of the best kept secrets in Cincinnati, And if you would like after dinner they have a fire outside to enjoy that last glass of wine. Now for me, I am a professional and I do have a college degree and live in a very nice house. Why do I mention this, because I do not like to be waited on hand and foot, and wait for someone to bring my meal to me. I would rather have a nice environment and cook my own meal with a nice glass of wine. Great people, great service a unique dining experience, Please give them a try if your are willing to grill your own food.

An excellent collection of the best cigars, at Ohio tax rates. Straus sells enough product to ge shipments of rare Fuente and other brands (Anejo, Opus X, etc.), but not so much that it all goes to ""special"" customers. Very knowledgeable staff, and a group of ""rugulars"" who come to smoke and are pleased to offer advice. The only better shops I have found are in Miami and four blocks away at the Cincinnati Tobacconist.

Fantastic selection of international, boutique, hand crafted wines and cheese and on premise artisan sandwiches gotta try their smoked tuna salad sandwiches, the best I've ever had and I'm a New Yorker. There's an indoor cafe, but what makes this unique is that there's outdoor seating area which is great on a nice day to be outside and not trapped indoors.Since the wine prices are all the same here in Ohio, why would I go to a big chain store like: Kroger, Cosco, Walmart etc when I can get a better selection of hand crafted wines, personalized service and some amazing sandwiches that I can eat in the outdoor cafe?Z-PLACE host wine tastings, classes and tutorials on Thursdays and Fridays which feature their new wines from all around the world. this is a GREAT place to learn about wines, have some fun, meet people and away from "the scene". This is a classic Old School Wine Shoppe that you have to come and check-out.

I walked in hoping I found my new liquor store. The place reeks of cigarette smoke. Their top shelf liquor section is very weak. Same with liqueurs. Sort of a convenience store for booze. And they don't take plastic.
24.The Wine Guy Bistro
2692 Madison Rd Ste K1
I work in the pavilion that the wine guy just opened. I sat in and ordered lunch on my break. I ate half my sandwich .. Not bad but not good.. Club on ciabatta. I asked server to box up the other half and she never came back with it. No worries... Well the next day, I ordered the same sandwich to go for a co worker. I warned him against it, but it seemed convenient at the time. I picked up the sandwich, took it back to work, when my co worker opened his to go box, I SWEAR TO YOU NOT, there was a half eaten sandwich! It was my le ftovers from the afternoon before! And get this! When my co worker walked back to store to exchange food he payed $10.00 for with tip, the manager, Tracy or Stacy I think was the name, got a new sandwich which was soggy, didn't offer refund or apology and said ""sorry, this happens sometimes"".... Are you serious! This is disgusting and foul and will never return for recycled lunch again...

I went to the store to play lottery and a large man shoved me out of the way. I said excuse me, he said fu you fat bit*h. He continued on and the employees were laughing. Very unprofessional and I will NEVER give them my business again.

We all have a story. Bad Tom Smith Brewing starts with an outlaw, a distant relative, and simply ends with the passion we have in wanting to bring you a rich taste in every Glass of our beers... When trying to define craft beer, each beer lover has a unique interpretation and story of discovery to share. To make a true craft beer definition even more difficult, each individual beer brand is one of a kind. Our craft beers are who we are, lets you know where we're from, and gives us a chance to hang with you. At the end of the day, we want the focus to be on our beers and a simple, nice atmosphere to get away and enjoy time relaxing with friends and beer. Part of Bad Tom Smith's (The Man) story that people dont often talk about, is that at the end of his life, he turned his life over to God. He wanted to repent for the sins of his life, and thus end his life with a story of redemption. In this sense, the brewery is much like the man as we continue to take steps to redeem ourselves in the Cincinnati craft beer market place... one Pint at a time!

Every Farmhouse has a story. Ours is a little different. It began in the storm cellar of a home built in 1924 where a stainless steel kettle and a family's dedication formed the cornerstone of Mt. Carmel Brewing Company. Established in 2005, Mt. Carmel reestablished Cincinnati's brewing frontier. Today, our extended family of brewers and neighbors continues to push it forward.
