Nail Envy
Best place to get acrylics in the NRV! Love their work and the nail shape is amazing. I've been getting my nails done for a while and I haven't ever found a place that does high quality work like nail envy!

They are incredibly rude and when I took my daughter back in and asked them to fix the horrible fill in they did, they waited until she got in the seat and then brought other employees to intimidate her, asking her if she had ever had her nails done before, because that would explain why she didn't think it was a good job. Horrible.

Kellie And Co Hair Designs
Kellie Moore is an amazingly gifted stylist and works wonders with color. Her little salon in downtown Christiansburg is like a peaceful oasis. I highly recommend this charming salon and it's talented owner!

Meredith's Salon
I LOVE this wonderful salon and all of its talented staff. Kathleen is an extraordinary stylist--she is the Queen of Blow-outs, does magic with color, and knows just the style or cut that would be the most flattering for each of her clients. The atmosphere at Meredith's is always cheerful and friendly. All of the staff are experts and highly gifted. I highly recommend this wonderful salon!

Nail Trix
I gave a one star rating because of the crappy service, horrible manners, fluctuating prices, and overall unwelcoming atmosphere. I have visited nail trix to get fills on my acrylics a few times and the only good thing I have to say is the prices are decent. Besides that, not only are the manners and customer service of the owner appalling but so are those of her employees who seem to think their job is a burden and treat every customers as if they shouldn't be there. To give two examples, the last time (which happened to be today) I was there to get a fill done, the owner cut open the side of my finger with one of the drills used to file acrylics down. Not only did she try to cover it up by cutting off the hanging skin and wiping up the blood, she did not clean the utensil afterwards, and I know my blood got on there. The dirtiness level is astounding for a place that you should feel safe from getting bacterial infections from unclean tools. I never got an apology for the damage she did to my finger either. Example two happened to my friend who was also with me today. She had been there two weeks prior and got the same gel manicure with designs on two fingers. However, today the prices was 7 dollars higher and when she asked the owners daughter why, she was brushed off and ignored. So when she went and asked the older woman, the was directed towards a well concealed sign under one of the stools that described her designs as "elaborate" and therefore more expensive even though she never asked for anything special and they were the same she got last time. The rude and abrasive attitudes of these employees is completely unacceptable and frankly unprofessional. I don't think it is too much to ask to be treated with some amount of respect considering it is their livelihood and based on the satisfaction of their customers. Overall, I would never recommend this place to anyone. It was an awkward and uncomfortable 25 minutes and I will never be returning.

STAY AWAY!!!! This place is dangerous and in violation of multiple health codes and safety procedures. Did work on my wife nails to the point of drawing blood. Nail equipment is not sterilized to remove blood born pathogens because blood is not a normal part of the process. Today new nails tomorrow HEP C. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE.Wife went back in for refund and the owners husband threatened to remove her nails that they did not even put on but they destroyed trying to a fill on. He repeatedly paced and said he was going to physically remove my wifes nails. I am pursuing legal action as we speak.

In Style Salon
manda Davisreviewed recentlyQuality 3 / 3I have been a loyal customer at In Style Salon for 7 years. I know how difficult it can be to find a great stylist that will work with your hair personality. I as lucky to find Rebecca, the owner of the salon. She has been great in working with all different colors and lengths for me. I have never left the salon feeling like I didn't get what I wanted. She is also very honest in giving advice and telling you when something isn't a great idea (like when I thought I wanted to go bleach blond). The salon can get busy at times, so I always make an appointment, although they accept walk-ins. This is great if you just need a trim, or for guys. The staff at In Style Salon are always attending workshops and trying to make themselves better as stylists, and now do extensions and will be heading in the direction of eyelash tinting, make up and so on. In terms of individual stylists, I have never had Rene work on my hair but have watched her while I sit for my color processing. She is a perfectionist when it comes to the cut, and making sure her customers leave happy. Rebecca is a pro when it comes to the color. She can tell you exactly what it will look like when it fades after 2 months. She is great at covering up the roots, and making the color even. When I first started coming to the salon, I was doing highlights. She made the recommendation to try both high and low lights and it looked amazing. My cut is always very simple, but she makes it flawless. Once you find a good stylists, it's impossible to let them go. Even when I move away, I will be coming back to In Style Salon to get my hair colored/trimmed. The quality of work is worth it.
