I thought my handmade Turkish carpet was ruined when I discovered dye stains on my hardwood floors. It had been rolled up to protect it from our aged, incontinent cat. She had managed to get on it and urinate, possibly repeatedly and some of the dye had transferred. I don't know how long it had been sitting like that, but it reeked. I took it to K.A.Pridjian & Co. and hoped for the best. Tom P. showed me around, pointing out all the machines and explaining the multistage process to clean delicate carpets. He assured me they would take the utmost care guarding against color bleeding. Another problem was that one end had wool strands which were unraveling (possibly from the vacuum cleaner). They would be able to fix that as well. Just picked up my carpet and am happy to say the smell is gone and the beautiful, vibrant colors remain intact. It was also beautifully mended. Everyone is so friendly and professional there. I highly recommend their service. Tom P. definitely values his clients!

These guys are FANTASTIC!!! They provided me with superior, emergency service and didn't make me break the bank for payment. They came out and cleaned some furniture that I had purchased used which had pet hair, pet stains and pet smells. Now I love pets but everyone in our house is allergic to pet dander. I did not notice the hair and stains until I had the items on the truck. I did not want to even put the items inside the house before having them cleaned and deoderized. Also I was in a rented truck that had to be returned the same day.I called the company from their ad and explained the situation. The gentleman on the phone was very professional and understanding. They made the appointment. Showed up on time and cleaned that furniture so well, you would think it was new! No hair, no smells, and no spots. Thanks guys for a super job and feel free to use me as a referrence any time.

These guys are great. Tom the owner started here when he was just a kid. His grandfather and uncle started the company. They take pride in what they do and I always know that my area rugs are in great hands. Nobody else can accommedate me and my rugs like them. They also have the largest selection in Karastan carpets that I've seen. Thanks Tom and Sydney for always prividing top notch service.
Tips & Advices
Homeowners can purchase carpet cleaners ranging from compact units to full-size industrial-strength machines. Some models specialize in removing allergens from pet hair, while others may work better on tough stains. Some carpet cleaners can be bulky and require ample storage space. Other features you may want to consider for in a cleaning unit include: attachments that work on upholstery, stairs, bare floors, or small spaces; brushes; and a removable hose.
Renting is usually much cheaper than owning a machine or hiring a service. But not all rental units perform equally, some might require extra drying time or the use of special solvents that will cost more. - Renting a unit means you must also move furniture yourself and pay close attention to ensure you're operating the unit correctly. Making a mistake could mean damaging your carpet or the unit itself. Improperly drying carpet could allow harmful bacteria and mold to grow.
Yes. This may involve specifying exactly what services you would like performed, as well as the size of your home's carpeted area. Make sure you understand exactly what is included in a quoted price. Some businesses may charge extra to move furniture, clean stairs, or use special treatment methods. Ask questions if any detail about the quote is unclear.
Decide which method you want to use by taking into consideration not only cost, but how long the process will take from start to finish, including drying time. Don't always go with the service offering the lowest price, or hire a service who advertises door-to-door or over the phone, unless you have done thorough research on them. Ask if the company conducts background checks on employees, as well as if they are insured in your state. Without liability insurance, a mistake that results in damage to your home or furniture may be your responsibility to pay for.
Using powerful solvents to break down dirt and stains, dry cleaning puts less physical stress on the carpet, and thus might be better in the long run. However, dry cleaning is usually more expensive than hot-water cleaning services. In addition, the chemicals used to dry clean carpets might irritate pets, people with sensitive skin, or anyone sensitive to strong odors.
