YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

After having a nightmare counter installation experience with A American Custom Flooring in Chicago, we hired Home Depot to complete the project. We worked with Dawn who was knowledgeable, sympathetic, and helpful. Home Depot contracted with Gerali Custom Design for our Corian installation, and they were fantastic! They had great customer service by returning our calls promptly, showing up to appointments on time, and following through on their promises. When they said the counter would be installed within 10 days after they measured & templated our condo, they met their own deadline! The person who measured and the two people who attended the installation were polite, respectful and careful with our belongings. We were very pleased. We also hired Home Depot to hook up our sink & faucet. That didn't go so well. Home Depot contracted with Plumb-In-Time Plumbing Services. Although I made the appointment for the hook up a full week ahead of time and although they said I was ""all set,"" Plumb-In-Time did not show up for their appointment. When I called to see where they were because my husband was sitting at home waiting for them while he missed work, the girl was confused. She put me on hold; and when she came back, she told me that there was some confusion and that they weren't coming. After not having water in my kitchen for 7 weeks because of the nightmare with A American Custom Flooring, I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I canceled the order with Plumb-In-Time, called Home Depot who kindly refunded the money, and hired a maintenance guy from my high rise to install the sink & faucet for me. He took care of it that very day, and he charged much less money. I recommend Home Depot because they handled the situation well, but I don't recommend Plumb-In-Time unless you have time to waste and a lot of patience.\r

This home depot located on the corner of Western and 47th in Chicago is the worst Home Depot I've been to. The place is unprofessional. Workers look like addicts and gangbangers. And not only did the workers there seem uneducated, but they didn't know anything about products, such as, air conditioners, tools, and lighting. I would not recommend this home depot to anyone. I only went to it because of its convenient location...it's a few minutes from my house. But now I'd rather go to the home depot on Cicero, even the Menards 20 mins away than go to this home depot.

This is what happened:\r I started receiving phone calls from this Home Depot about 3 weeks ago. I usually don't answer unknown numbers, but after they didn't stop, I decided to see what was going on.\r I found out that someone had rented equipment using my phone number, so i politely informed the store worker that they had the wrong number. I though it was over and thay would try to contact the real person to get their stuff back, but i started to get calls again.\r Today I called in the morning and spoke with someone explaining this situation and asked them to stop calling me. after confirming the rest of their contact information did NOT match mine, they assured me i would not receive any more calls. . . they called me around 2pm.\r I spoke with another worker from the equipment rental place and filled him in on everything I just wrote here, but he didn't believe me. He even lied to me and said this was the first time I was being called, but when I told him I had voicemail recordings of other times they called, he shut-up pretty quick.\r He explained that all the information they had on the customer who rented, was verified by checking his ID. I told him that he should go after the person's address, but also that it wasn't me. He then explained in a focalmness that that was fine, and that he would be sending my contact information on to the debt collectors! I asked him to repeat himself to make sure I understood him correctly, and then I called to speak with a manager, and make sure i was speaking to a legitimate store location, and not some scam artist imposters. It was legit.\r Besides that, I spoke with the Asst. Man. and also HD's online chat; neither of which were able to give me an address to write in a formal letter. I am not giving up. The worse thing, is that I am afraid adfter speaking with the online chat, that this is just the status quo for the entire business.
