DO NOT TAKE TRAINING CLASSES HERE! SAVE YOURSELF TIME & MONEY!I wanted to leave this place a great review since I enjoyed the actual class structure and my instructor, but it is completely unorganized. DO NOT TAKE ANY OF THEIR TRAINING CLASSES. Out of the 5 weeks of prepaid classes, class was cancelled 4 times and many times without notice to the class participants. I began their open enrollment on 6/4 and have had class cancelled 5 times over the next 8 weeks from 6/4-7/30. I do not live close to this place and have taken uber there and back multiple times only to be told there was no class today. They DO NOT notify you when there is no class so you waste time travelling there and back. Classes were cancelled on 6/4 & 7/23 with no notice to students. Last week (7/23), the instructor cancelled with no prior notice to students. No students were notified before the class was actually cancelled. He also didn't hold class the week before (7/16), or next week (7/30). The next time class is scheduled is 8/6. He told us about the 7/2, 7/16, & 7/30 no classes, but did not inform anyone about the 6/4 & 7/23 class cancellation. When I got to the location, the front desk woman rudely told me there was no class and that I was informed of this last week (which is NOT true because there was no class the previous week). Just call their number and you will see how rude the front desk person is. She was even rude when taking my payment for the class. They may have great reviews online but DO NOT waste your puppy's formative months on countless cancelled classes. DO NOT TAKE TRAINING HERE.

Stay Inc
Whenever we needed to board our 2 dogs we used Stay. We really liked their facilities and the staff and felt our dogs were in good hands. They were also able to bunk together which made them happy.

VIP's Pet Hotel
I would recommend this facility without reservation! It's very convenient having both the vet and groomer on site, and it's super clean!

Chicago Canine Academy
I went to Jims academy and was impressed with what I saw so I signed my dog up for the 2 week boot camp program. I have a giant schnauzer, he was 4 months old. Once a giant schnauzers ears are cropped, they have to be taped up until the puppies adult teeth grow in. When I dropped my puppy off, the first thing I told these people was if my dogs ear tape falls off to IMMEDIATELY call me. A week goes by and finally I get to go in and start training with my dog. Jim gets my dog out...my puppy looks miserable...is dirty as all hell..AND his ears are flopped over and not taped. I immediately got upset and said what the h***....I told Jim that I told his staff to immediately call me if the ears tape fell off and he responds with "Well they only fell off yesterday, and they smelled bad, and I really dont think its a good idea to have them taped like that all the time they need some air." Uhm no...I have an AKC registered breeder who knows what hes doing, last time I checked, Jim wasn't breeding giant schnauzers. I told Jim "No, his ears need to immediately be retaped and my that my breeder is in Yorkville." I am clearly upset because this idiot thinks that he knows what good for MY dog when he clearly doesnt. I tell one of the girls that works there that my dog is still AKC registered to my breeder and if I bring my dog to him like this looking like hes been not taken care of for a week that he'd be appalled and take my puppy away from me...well the girl goes to talk to him and idiot Jim clearly didn't notice me standing in the doorway when he said "Well I don't give a F*** if her dog gets taken away..." so he has the girl call a local vet who will tape the ears tomorrow morning. My dog looks miserable, looks like s***, and was NOT taken care of like I had TOLD them he needed to be. Did my dog learn a new trick? Yeah he did....but he was NOT under any circumstances taken care of by this pathetic excuse of a canine academy. If you love your dog...you're better off bringing him else where.

Dog's Life On Damen
I appreciate the care and kindness of the staff here. I like that I have an option to take my dogs for a day of fun and play instead of being at home all the time. I come at least once a month as a treat for them. Would recommend.

Dog's Life On Damen
An acquaintance of mine recommended this place as the only place he trusted to take his dogs, so I decided to try it after a few other kennels didn't work out due to the special handling my dog requires. Now it's the only place I will take Max. He loves it there and he loves the staff. It is clean, quiet, and the everyone who works there is knowledgeable and caring. I would be shocked at the negative reviews if I thought they were accurate, but based on my own experience with this place, they clearly are not. I highly recommend Dog's Life on Damen!

Collar & Leash Pet Motel
Collar and Leash is great. My Maltese-Shihtzu loves coming here. It's a home away from home for her.
Tips & Advices
Pets that do not get along with other animals may incur an additional fee. Some facilities have special solitary sleeping and play animals for these types of pets.
A checklist for what to bring to a pet kennel includes:
  • Vaccination records
  • A favorite toy or blanket
  • Food and feeding instructions (if the pet has dietary restrictions or is a picky eater)
  • Medication (if necessary, in its original bottle and with written instructions)
Some pet kennels have veterinarians as part of their daily staff, while others only have vets part time or on call.
Most kennels can provide basic care such as administering medications, but owners of pets with serious medical issues should choose a facility with a veterinarian on call.
Bordetella, commonly known as kennel cough, is highly contagious, and most dogs catch it at least once in their lifetimes. As such, all dogs should be vaccinated at least 7 days before boarding.
