HVAC-R Services, Inc
I'm pretty much a do-it-yourself kind of guy. But when the burners on my furnace still wouldn't light (after I replaced the ignitor and flame sensor), I called HVAC-R, based on the excellent reviews here. The gentleman I spoke with was extremely knowledgeable and was pretty sure he knew the problem based on my description. He suggested a quick, easy fix over the phone that I was not aware of. I tried it and it worked!I felt compelled to write this review because it's so refreshing to find an HVAC guy who is truly decent, honest and helpful and puts his customers (or potential customers) need for help over his bottom line. Obviously, mine is an isolated case. Today's furnaces are quite complicated and it's not a good idea to tinker with them unless you have a good working knowledge of what you're doing. That's when it's comforting to know that there's someone you can trust who's number one priority is to be helpful more than anything else. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. Thanks again!

Murphy & Miller Inc
Murphy & Miller is absolutely the best when it comes to HVAC Mechanical & Technical needs. I have worked with Murphy & Miller in the past so when the opportunity came for my current Condo Assoc to bid out the HVAC contract Murphy & Miller was at the top. Daniel Flores came to the property and submitted the proposal within day, talk about a great turn-around time, he also answered the follow up questions just as quick . Every time I contact Daniel he responds right away and he stops by the office for the more complex items and explain the issue and solution. Once the contract was signed with Murphy & Miller we were sent an amazing technician Mike Wicker and he is great. Mike knows his job and he took the time at the end of his day to explain what he found and what should be addressed in order of importance. WOW talk about customer service!!! I can go on for days about how great Murphy & Miller are but you should try them for yourself and you will not be disappointed. Tiffany N.

Chicago Heating Repair
I was impressed with the services I received from Chicago Heating Repair. The same day that I called to inquire about a technician coming out to check my furnace (which wasn't working properly) a really nice guy named SERGIE showed up at my door, right at the time that was discussed. Sergie explained everything that needed to be done to find the problem and he didn't even mind me standing over his shoulder watching the process. He also took the time to explain all of the necessary maintenance that needed to be done in order to extended the parts/ life of my furnace, I truly appreciate the time he took with me. The whole job was done in under an hour and the price was comparable to other companies. I would highly recommend Chicago Heating Repair to all of my friends and family. Thanks Again "SERGIE"

Four Seasons Home Services-Plumbing & Sewer Service
I called Four Seasons during the flooding last month, my basement had flooded and my hot water tank had been under 3ft of water. What a mess!!! I called on a Sunday, they sent out the service guy right away. Unfortunately my hot water tank was shot, shocker after 3ft of water. The service guy set up for me to have a new tank installed the same day, because they were putting in so many they actually upgraded me to a better tank. Awesome!!! The installers showed up later that night and put the installation in it only took about 2 hours, the main installer was really nice, I think they his name was Jeremy, he was really personable and explained everything he was doing to me. I was extremely please with my experience and will defiantly continue to use this company in the future.-Nelson

Burris & Sons
Please note the above address for Burris & Sons is correctly 7850 S. Colfax. This was my first time calling Burris & Sons, I called a few other companies before trying to give my service to whoever could accommodate my emergency. Although Mr.Burris stated he had appointments that called in prior to me, he went out to give me fast and productive service right away. I needed a tough job of a main line rod out and he thoroughly serviced this for me quickly and effectively. I highly recommend.

Four Seasons Home Services-Plumbing & Sewer Service
Good company with knowledgeable service staff. 3 years ago, I purchased a new central air conditioning system as well as furnace from Four Seasons. They suggested annual service check-ups and told me about the product warranty. I do call them for service check-ups on each of the units. Recently, I had a problem with my air conditioning unit so they came out. The repairs were covered by the product warranty. Nice to see a business honoring their committments.JA

Burris & Sons
My husband and I have been customers of Burris and Sons for over 30 years and the service has always been prompt and the problems resolved. This has included air conditioning and heating systems maintenance, plumbing issues, sump pump replacement and drain clearing. In addition to being a responsive local business, I recommend this company to family and friends as a business that leaves you with a good feeling when the service call is completed.

Four Seasons Home Services-Plumbing & Sewer Service
Been using them for years for my furnace and ac. Very consistent, and hard working technicians. Both furnace and ac are on the older edge of the spectrum and I really feel the preventative maintenance these guys provide makes a huge difference in why I haven't had to replace. Their techs are polite and courteous. Could tell they take your best interest into account. Just like with a car, if you take ofnit, it will last.

My 14 year old hot water heater went out so I called Four seasons Home Services to see if I could get an estimate. Not only did they send a plumber out that day they followed up with a Hot water heater that day as well. Before I knew it I had hot water again. The plumber answered all of my questions and was very clean and polite. I will definatly be using them again.

Tips & Advices
You can keep your air conditioner running efficiently with some preventative care measures. Shut off the power to your AC before cleaning it or performing any of these tasks:  clean your filter at least twice a year; remove leaves and twigs from cages; clean the fins with a garden hose or special spray, then use a butter knife to straighten any that are crooked; keep your yard clean so the fins won't get blocked; cover the unit up for winter; and make sure it's level or you run the risk of damaging the inner workings of the unit.
To clean your air conditioner drain, first shut off the power to your unit at both the thermostat and the breaker. Then remove the drain pan. If the pan is full of water, soak up the liquid with a few towels or rags or use a wet vacuum. You can use a solution of water and distilled vinegar, or substitute peroxide for the vinegar, to clean out the drain pipe. Let the pipe sit for a while in the solution and then put all the parts back in place. Once you start using your air conditioner on a regular basis, check it periodically to ensure condensation isn't building up.
If you happen to live in a hot and humid area of the country, drainage problems can occur with your unit since moisture can trap itself inside the system. Routine maintenance can cut down on drainage issues by cleaning out any mold or algae from blocking the drain. If you notice moldy smells whenever you turn the thermostat down, check on your system.
If you notice your system is acting inconsistently, the sensor is most likely out of place. Turn off the unit and reach behind its control panel while carefully bending the sensor back into place near the evaporative coil.
Find out where the noises are coming from. A banging or clanking sound could be due to a loose part. If you hear a hissing sound, it's most likely because of a refrigerant leak and you should contact an HVAC technician as soon as possible.
