YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

We moved into the area about a year and a half ago and fine here often (take out). The wait can be long on the weekends but that should say something. Plan at least a half hour before pick up. We tend to get the sweet and sour chicken most often.

I am always impressed with the quality of the food and the atmosphere here. The service is always great - but the best part is the televisions! You have to see it to believe it- I only know of a few other restaurants in the area with tv's at every table - and this is definately the best one! Great place to get out of the house on a Sunday afternoon and still catch the game on tv. : )

One of the best spots to stop in and get tasty, healthy, authentic meals, for lunch or dinner. Best of all, they keep it easy on the pocket book (5-10$ covers you) Plus, it feels good to support local, and I think the owner / cook is a one-man band, so I try to spend money there, not only for the tasty chicken shwarmas(!), but also in show of gratitude, whenever I have an extra few bucks or some time in the area. Finally, you almost always walk away with something extra to enhance the meal, something that you hadnt order but that the cook knows you need, like a grape leaf to-go, or their special made garlic sauce; just all around good service and great food. Hope they stay afloat; support local!

First off, the owners are the same ones that owned the old Rivera's restaurant that use to be on the N/W corner of 10 mile and Gratiot. Those in the know will remember that they had the best fish and chips on the eastside and every Friday people were lined up outside the door to get some. Well, the current place has the same recipe and that brought us to Louis' the first time. The fish and chips were excellent but not as good as I remember them from 10 and Gratiot...maybe because the pieces were smaller and more crispy back then. \r \r I have eaten at fine steak houses like Chris Ruth's (very good), Don Shulas (yuck) and others in that class and IMHO I think Louis' is just as good if not better. I usually get the 16 ounce rib eye with zip sauce and I've never tasted any better. It has always been cooked to my liking (medium/medium well). The service has always been adequate to excellent\r \r We ate there last night. It was our 5th time going there. I had the lemon rice soup which was better than any I ever eaten in Greek Town. And something I found out...all their salad dressing and desserts are made in house. They had a fish special last night, Mahi Mahi with a blueberry/raspberry sauce that, honestly, was one of the best fish dishes we've ever eaten....when in Florida we eat fish every day but none compared to what we had last night in Michigan...a grand slam home run. I also had the other special, a bone in ""prime grade"" filet mignon that was done perfectly (medium) and didn't need a knife to cut it. I usually get a baked potato but last night for some reason I ordered the Au Gratin potatoes....OH MY. I will never order another baked potato there again...believe me on this one folks. My better half is on one of those no potato/rice diets and follows it religiously and she ate half my order. \r \r Bottom line, they've got some really good things going on there. And I can't wait to go back.
