YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

2.Pet Placement Center

Found a dog on the website and came to have a meet and greet with my current dog. The nice ladies inside told us to wait outside and they would get to us. They have tons of cats in there so its obviously not dog friendly if your bringing a dog. We waited outside for about 15min and went in the back and had the dogs meet. The guy was very good at handling everything and explaining. I give 3 stars ONLY bc of that. I hate cats. And ladie below. You woulda been better off pickin one up off the street. Why buy A CAT. There free everywhere.

Extremely rude front desk people. The boss (I guess) was very mean to one of her staff members in front of everyone (I felt bad for the girl)! The whole place seemed fake and gave me a bad vibe. There were a lot of malnourished dogs there too.

Dishonest owner. Takes money and does not perform pet visits. Please keep you animals away from this horrible petsitter Garry Barkley!
10.Ark Of Cleveland
240 Oak St NW
Despite some of these negative reviews, I and my family had a wonderful experience with the Ark and will they will definitely be a consideration when we adopt our next animal. We now have a beautiful feline addition to our home, and not only were the staff on duty extremely friendly and accommodating- when the cat showed signs of a potential acute health issue and I contacted them via Facebook, I dealt with Bob one-on-one. He actually contacted the vet for us and saw to it that the cat was seen quickly, which was above and beyond what I ever expected. I'm uncertain of how the Ark is specifically run, but in my experience with several no-kill shelters, they do not take animals that are dropped off at random. Most have a limited amount of room and though many people have the best intentions, not every shelter has space for the animal you found. Animals in no-kill shelters often stay longer due to the lack of immediate threat to their life, and new animals are only moved in as they're adopted out. They are the only no-kill shelter in Bradley county and The Ark has a lot of work upon their shoulders, and passing them off as 'rude and uncaring' because they couldn't take your animal is ignorant. Please do your research as to how the shelter operates before throwing accusations of poor behavior on their behalf.

I searched for a companion on PetFinder and found Claire. Claire was one of 3 dogs turned in to the pound by a new husband who stated the 3 dogs were not good with people. Thankfully the pound ignored his instructions to "put them to sleep." The Humane Society, an effective No Kill Shelter got these friendly dogs up so they could be adopted. The PetFinder description was 100% accurate and the photos perfect. To make it easy to apply for adoption, this group provided an online application to submit for consideration to be a fur baby parent. Not all adoption organizations have this good technology yet. My application was reviewed within an hour of submission and Pat, a volunteer phoned me to screen me to make sure she would get a good home. She phoned my references, and approved me. Pat scheduled a time for me, gave me directions and met me on time. The building was clean, and had a sitting area to get to meet Claire, and the transaction was quick. I expect to adopt from here again and look forward to it.
