Can never go wrong with Longhorn. Course I did get a really tough ribeye once. Knife wouldn't cut through it! Flo's filet is always a great choice, just wish they were bigger!

Love this place. First went when i was in NYC and then tried their Charlotte ""branch"". Yes, its pricey - but its well worth it! The steak is so good, the creamed spinach to die for and the service is perfect.

My husband and I have had nothing but great service every time we come to this location. We've been to the Pineville location, and the Rock Hill location but this one is the best. The last time we came to this one was a couple of years ago (and had an amazing experience) but nothing has changed which is good! We called ahead, and got seated right away which is unusual for a Saturday night in such a busy part of the area. Our server was great -- didn't try too hard to impress us but did a great job with getting drinks (my Sydney's Cosmo was delicious!!), and being quick with his service. I ordered the Victoria Filet medium well; my husband always gets the Outback Special in medium. We did have to wait a little bit, but the wait wasn't more than 30 mins. And every time we ran out of bread - right away, we got more instead of waiting an eternity. We got our steaks but there was a TINY problem.... my filet was a little too pink/red in the middle, but our server was glad to take my steak back to fix it. And when I got it back, the manager herself brought it to me and it came back absolutely perfect, and she made sure I was happy with it. It wasn't the way I'd like it the first time, but they made it right....that's good customer service! Our steaks, especially mine were very flavorful, and juicy. The veggies and baked potato were delicious. \r \r So, everything was great....and regardless of the tiny mishap with the doneness of the steak, it won't stop us from coming to the South End Outback location. Sure...it's not even close to Morton's, Ruth's Chris or Capital Grille, but for those of us that want a yummy steak but don't want to pay a whole lot, Outback is a good place to go.

Outback used to be one of our favorite restaurants several years ago...the steaks used to be the best...we feel the quality has gone down hill since they have gotten so poplular and so big...the cuts of meat are not the greatest...their Filets are fatty

This is by far the best Steakhouse in Charlotte. I had the Ribeye and Jalapeno Mashed potatoes. We were treated like royalty by our server, Patrick. He was very gracious and attentive. It is obvious that he likes his job. I can't wait to return.

Went over the weekend with my wife. Charlotte is flooded with high-end steakhouses for all the corporate bigwigs here with shareholder paid expense accounts but we had a coupon so we decided to give it a try. The prices are in line with Morton's, etc. though the sides are a little bit cheaper but not as large. The restuarant was quiet for a Saturday night but the food and service was excellent. The menu had standard steakhouse fare but a few items stood out like the yukon gold mashers which were some of the best I have ever had! The NY strip was nicely seasoned. It was a nice change of pace though the price might deter a lot of customers, I hope it sticks around though its location might be a negative being so far removed from uptown and all the corp AMEX accts.

I go to this location frequently for lunch and dinner when in town. The food is really good and although it's a little pricy for the area, it's well worth it. I am partial to the Delmonico steak with Augratin potatoes and the BLT salad. The staff is always friendly and outgoing and the bartenders make a really mean dirty martini with blue cheese olives. I have become a huge fan of their bartenders, Jeromy and Cathy in particular. They are personable without being too familiar and professional without being stuffy. They've always made me feel welcome when dining alone and have gone out of their way to be hospitable. I keep going back for the excellent service and terriffic food. If you're in the Charlotte area, skip over the tired chains all over WT Harris and give this place a try.

I have been to many other fine dining restraunts in Charlotte and Morton's has been the best so far. Me & my finances Porterhouse steak was absolutely amazing. Food was great, Service was even better. Me and my fiancé are in our low 20s and we have never been treated so well at other fine dining such as Bentleys. It happened to be my birthday dinner and they even let me pick out of their desert menu, any desert I wanted for my birthday FOR FREE and even had a lit candle in the desert when they brought it out. This place was very professional and the service was the best we've had ever. Highly recommended. Worth every single penny. (And we literally eat at fine dining only on special occasions)

I have stayed in the University area of Charlotte many times over the past 15 years. When the University Place Nakoto location was first built and open for business I was interested but did not get around to visiting the restaurant until October of this year. I was quickly sorry that I had waited any time at all. The restaurant offers both Hibachi style food and my favorite, Sushi. Their selections are great and the food is excellent. The restaurant is slightly pricey but considering the value for what is offered I have no compaints. I look foward to visiting the restaurant again when I am next in Charlotte.

I debated on the 5th star, but you know what? The Manager asked me if there I was anything he should change and I told him "Please don't change a thing, you can only mess it up". Concerning the commentary about how it looks from the outside: Don't judge a book by it's cover. Yeah, it has some "Mafia hideout place to bring your mistress maybe it's really a strip club" look to it - but if you haven't figured it out by now, that IS part of the charm and the appeal. One reviewer here thinks none of the clientele are locals. Perhaps he is clairvoyant, but I don't think it is possible to make such a claim. Pricey? Not really. Making comparisons to Outback? You should probably stick with Outback. To start - our waitress (also the bartender) Hillary made me one of the better Old Fashioneds with Dark Rum I've had. She left out the orange but it was still pretty great. Now she knows she has Myers on hand, too. We had "the cheese" but with Panini bread instead of crackers. Sounds silly, I know. I thought the cheese was to die for, and the danger here is eating too much of it. Next time I will eat the cheese with a spoon when no one is looking. The bread is crazy good, too. There is a reason they bring this out to your table when you are seated - it's tastes really good. We also had Salad with Blue Cheese, Shrimp Scampi (prepared perfectly), Trout (perfect), Ribeye (it was hard to resist licking my plate in public when it was gone), Creamed Spinach (awesome) and Mushrooms. (I love mushrooms, but these are prepared in a wine sauce, wheras I am more of a garlic butter fan). We had a hard time choosing a bottle of wine, but we described what we were looking for and another waiter made a recommendation - it was spot on. I think it may be crowded on Mon and Thurs for half-priced wine nights, so remember you probably need a reservation any night of the week. When we were leaving a van full of seniors showed up with no reservations. The Manager was trying to accommodate, and I hope they were able to work it out but...trust me, make a reservation. We had to skip the dessert this time, but it was tempting. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience, and sincerely hope it doesn't change a bit. We are new fans and cannot wait to go back. To anyone who didn't like it, you should probably stick with chain restaurants.

My place to go to a have a cup of coffee with the fabulous view. We go there once in awhile for dinner, but one time, just out of the blue we went there for breakfast and it was very nice. I had shrimp and grits - excellent!

I have been to Bonefish three times, an ample amount of time, just in case they were having an off night. Unfortunately all three times I have been dissapointed. The seafood selection is good, however every time, no matter what the dish, the main item on the dish has been overcooked. The scallops had flavor, but they were well above medium rare and had the texture of rubbery gum as opposed to the tender cut-them-with-a-fork doneness. The salmon was supposed to be mid-rare, but somehow ended up charred on the outside and rare on the inside. (The grill needs less juice, my friend). The one thing I will suggest, if you like sweeter martinis, is their pomegranite mango infused vodka martini. Bit sweet for my taste, but the females at our table found them exceptional. I was a chef turned sommelier, take my advice, there are better seafood places out there.

In town on business, I like to try all the seafood places. Just went to the Hearst Tower and found Lavecchia's Seafood and was amazed at the meal I had. My friends agreed. The seabass was the best I ever had. The tuna dish was equally amazing. Crabcake, oysters even the steak was excellent. Great wine list. Service was just okay, but the vibe was cool. Can't wait to go back.

The drink specials were awesome! A friend of mine and I were planning on going out and grabbing a drink on a beautiful spring day. We sat out on a patio on the water, and shared a pitcher for $5! It was a Wednesday, so I thought that they were just trying to bring people in, but was surprised to see great beer AND liqueur specials all week long. From $5 martinis on saturday to $2 U call its on Thursday. While we were planning on just grabbing a drink, we were really surprised with the menu that we split the crab queso and fried pickles. They were both delicious. I am planning on taking my husband back and trying some more of the menu. It was a nice restaurant, with great service. I definitely recommend it!

We have been coming to eat at Nakato's for my birthday every year for the past 5 years and we always have a great time but this year has been the best one yet. Our chef was Leo and he was the best hibachi chef we have ever had and we eat at Japanese steakhouses all over the country. The food was excellent and the service we had was way over the top. This is my family's favorite restraunt and we will keep coming back as often as we can.
