Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
I am very disappointed in how I was presented with pricing on the services I received and certainly in what I was ultimately charged. I never received a written quote on how much the service would cost, it was only verbalized in a confusing manner after he looked at the problem. Not quite understanding, I gave permission for them to proceed with snaking my clogged kitchen sink. This took maybe 30 minutes. Once completed, I received a piece of paper that had a handwritten number next to a line called "labor". No other details as to how this number is calculated. The job was completed (hence the 2 stars) but feel like I was conned into paying an astronomical amount for a service that took less than 30 minutes to complete. Their Billing Department has not been helpful to provide an explanation or any details on what I was charged for. At this point, I will not use Roto-Rooter again nor recommend to anyone. If you have to use them, make sure to get clear, detailed pricing before you allow them to perform their service.

J & B Plumbing Solutions
I would highly recommend J&B plumbing to anyone in the Charlotte area! Earlier yesterday i noticed a leak that needed to be fixed immediately. i have just recently moved to Charlotte and was looking online for a plumber and saw this ad. After calling John he quickly came and did a full assessment of the situation. He noticed right away where the leak was coming from and also that i need a new water heater. After going to get the material, i was blown away at the quality and speed that these men took to complete this. They were very respectful and you could tell they knew exactly what they were doing. Since upon moving here I have had trouble with my finances but J&B plumbing kindly worked with me on a reasonable price that I could afford and that was a big help. After using this company, I wouldn't change to anyone else. J&B plumbing has made my new move to Charlotte a lot easier and did that with sincere kindness. If you have any plumbing problems J&B plumbing are the people to call!

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
So our plummer was amazing. His name is Chris Pierce. We called at 3pm and same day 5pm he's there. We had pre-googled what might've been going on and low and behold we were right; there was a main clog in the main sewer line. this backed up the whole house, nothing flushed and with no where for the water to go, it backed up back into the house! (tub, showers). Chris realized what was going on and suggested some items to help us with our problem. He was polite and professional and honestly deserves a promotion. He was just the kind of customer service that I want everytime! He even cleaned up after himself. He even helped another employee with advice while actively working! (over a phonecall) Talk about a star employee! I found /my/ personal plummer that I will always call. #Roto-RooterForLife (Because of chris lol)

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing
I had a flooding incident in my home a few weeks ago. When I arrived home to find water in every room of my house, I was distraught to say the least. Not having this ever happened before I wasn't sure what I should do first so I made a call to Kevin C. with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. He was very helpful. He immediately instructed me on how to stop the water and said to sit tight he was on his way. It was late in the evening and I knew he was on his way home but he instead came to assist me. Not only did he arrive and provide superior service but he also helped keep me calm as the emergency restoration crew arrived. I have to say I am very appreciative of the help and more than satisfied with the customer service I received. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for plumbing services.

Jenuwyn Sewer and Drain
Used them twice and have had excellent experiences with this plumbing company (Jenuwyn Sewer and Drain). James talked me through my crisis which turned out to be a clogged sewer line. It was after hours and after some price matching his rate was still very competitive. Appreciate the effort he made to clean up all the sewage that was in my yard (really gross and smelled horrible). When my 50 gallon water heater went out early Saturday morning (4am) they arrived within the hour and once again provided reliable, professional service with a price that was unbeatable! If your looking for ethical, affordable, quality plumbing service in Charlotte that's done right the first time would highly recommend this company.

Rightway Plumbing
I had a great experience with the whole team at Rightway Plumbing. John came out, looked at my leaking hot water heater, gave me my options & then I made a decision to go with a tankless water heater. He provided me a turnkey job, including the service package. Install day - Uniformed & polite, they came in my home, removed the old tank, and brought my attic up to code; which included some work on the roof. Everything is working great & I'm confident this is the last hot water heater I'll purchase! Thanks for a job well done! I highly recommend the people at Rightway Plumbing! Sherli Morgan

Rooter Champion Plumbing
Came home to a busted outside water pipe last night!, not a great ending to an already difficult day. Happened across Rooter Champion on google search and called......best decision I've made in a while I must say! Great customer service. Explained what needed to done, found the leak right off, so limited digging in the yard which was a mess from the leak. Brandon was very nice, respectful, found the leak quickly, fixed the problem and NO MORE SOGGY YARD!!!! YEAH! I would definitely recommend and have absolutely found "my" plumber for any future plumbing needs! Thanks to everyone at Rooter Champion!

Malone Plumbing Co.
I called Malone Plumbing a couple of weeks ago, after getting a recommendation from a member of the Char-Meck utilities crew. My sewer was backed up and unfortunantly it was on my side, so the city couldn't help me. Making an appointment with this company was super easy and the technician was there at his scheduled time. He installed a cleanout in my front yard and jetted the line. His price was great and I felt that I got a good deal. Someone from the office called back the next day to make sure everything was working ok. The customer service was excellent and I'll definently use them again.

Rightway Plumbing
Description Of Work: Replaced Moen valve cartridge in garden tub. Inspected leaking toilet and hot water heater and advised on both while visiting our residence. The crew had a busy day, but the staff kept me updated all day on their progress and when to likely expect the plumber. I didn't feel at all inconvenienced because of the amount of communication I received. The plumber was both professional and knowledgeable. Rightway gives estimates on the repairs when they arrive so that you can pick and choose what you'd like fixed. We were pleased with the service and will use them again.
Tips & Advices
The following tools and common household objects can be used to clean drains at home:
  • A plunger
  • A drain snake
  • Baking soda
  • Vinegar
  • Grease-fighting dish soap
Homeowners can mix boiling water with any of the last three products to break up grease and grime.
The main ingredients in clog removal liquid products are sodium hydroxide and sodium hypochlorite. According to the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, both break down into relatively harmless components when it comes into contact with water or soil. However, both substances cause mild irritation to skin and internal tissues.
Also known as a drain auger, a drain snake is a coiled device around ΒΌ-inch thick. To use a drain snake, put the end into the entrance of the drain. Turn the handle to force the snake deeper, using extra pressure to force it through the bend in the pipe. Keep turning until the snake hits the clog, then either pull the snake and remove the obstruction or force it through. Once the snake is out of the drain, run the water on full blast for a few minutes to ensure the obstruction is completely removed.
Plungers don't damage residential pipes, but the force created by the act of plunging weakens the seal between the toilet and the floor.
Many plumbers, both local businesses and nationwide chains, offer emergency or same-day services.
